This is an incredibly important organization that advocates for feral cats. Many rescues/non-profits don't include ferals in their scope of treatment options. They offer low cost spay/neuters and provide vaccines as well. Thanks to them, the cat populations in the Denver area are managed. I cannot thank them enough for the work that they do. They rely on donations, so if you feel called to support them, please consider it! (I'm not affiliated with them in any way, other than having taken cats to them.) This is one of the very limited, few places that offers to care for community/feral kitties. Most vets will not accept ferals. I learned about them from the Metro Denver C.A.T. who I've partnered with in the past to rent traps to TNR the backyard kitties that was running around in my neighborhood. Was trying to borrow traps again from them but they were out for the season and told me about vet care for ferals with The Feline Fix. One of the ferals in the community recently showed up with a bummed foot so I was trying to trap him to take him to get checked out. I've been feeding him for about 2 years and have trapped him in the past for TNR. I come to find out that the Feline Fix also loan traps and was able to borrow 2 to see about catching him. I was not successful last weekend to trap him but was able to trap his sister for a wellness check since she's been my loyal kibble/wet food customer for 2+ years as well. The cost was definitely non-profit pricing and I'm grateful they were able to help. One of the best thing about the Feline Fix, was that they have the most understanding and caring staff and they know what it's like to care for the ferals. They know the appointment I made would be a "loose" appointment. That I plan to bring them if I got them, but if I didn't, they understood as long as I give them a call that morning. They also never turn away a feral that came in a trap, so I'm very excited to know that. They also partner with local foster families and help them get the kitties care that they need. The only thing is they might be limited on what they can do as I believe they don't have an X-ray machine in case the severity of the issue is too much. They also see regular kitties too at a very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend The Feline Fix especially if you're in the area. Great office to work with for community kitty needs. read more

The Feline Fix is a wonderful organization & non-profit which uses every donation to help the animals by supporting TNR education and providing traps for the community to use, they also do some trapping with volunteers. The many cats that have been cared for with the Low Cost Spay or Neuter is astounding! This has improved so many outcomes for the cats and families that they have helped! This low cost spay /neuter and necessary shots to keep them healthy, stops suffering of cats, and raises awareness of the over population of cats and the need to get them 'fixed'. I have grown to love the people who run this organization as they helped me to change the outcome of my neighborhood by using these techniques. read more

Although my first experience with them was for a sad reason I would definitely recommend them. They were so kind when I had to drop off my kitty to be cremated. The price for cremation was about 4x less than other quotes we got and it came in a lovely little urn. read more

The Feline Fix is a great organization that helps feral kittens find homes and also Trap, Neuter, and release adult cats so that they keep your neighborhood free of reproducing cats. They really take their time with making sure the kittens go to good homes and match with the personalities of the kittens and don't just give them to people who want to adopt based on breed etc. They have a fantastic foster program which socializes the kittens before they are adopted so by the time you adopt they are ready for their forever homes. I can't say enough about the feline fix. I adopted my kitten in December and Nicole was so helpful throughout the adoption process. I went to an adoption event and it did take about an hour and a half to complete the whole process as there were a lot of people there but I felt like they really took their time in making sure each kitten was taken home by the right family. They set me up with all the information I needed to care for my kitten and she has settled in nicely in my home with my six year old cat. I recommend the feline fix to all of my friends looking to adopt/foster. read more

I've been going to The Feline Fix for over a year now, and I am thoroughly impressed by their operation. They have everything down to a science, from the morning check-ins for the clinic to the kind, understanding guidance for the foster families. In particular, I have great respect for Nicole, who helps run the ship with efficiency, kindness, and grace. As Program Coordinator, Foster Coordinator, Adoption Coordinator, Clinic Coordinator, TNR Coordinator, and Receptionist, she certainly has her hands full of more than just kittens! And despite all of the responsibilities she has pulling her in so many directions, she still always makes time to work with individuals who need that little extra instruction and reassurance. I have fostered cats and kittens for many years and had cats my entire life, and I am proud to say that my loyalty lies with The Feline Fix. They moved to their current location in Commerce City a year ago, and if you haven't checked out their new digs, go see it! If you're in the market to adopt/rescue a kitten DO NOT GO TO THE FELINE FIX. Staff is extremely disorganized and so rude it's amazing to me that this place is operational. The staff was repeatedly taking people in a back room (dirty, crammed with boxes, no room to even sit without knocking stuff over without getting filth all over you) and scolding people (families with toddlers and elderly people included) for only wanting to adopt one cat. Simultaneously a couple came in and adopted one cat - when we questioned the staff on this we were literally asked to leave (after waiting patiently to visit with the kittens for over an hour). The Feline Fix is a disgrace to kitty shelters and adoption facilities. Go to your local vet, The Cat Clinic, Denver Dumb Friends League, RM Feline Rescue or even Craigslist over this place. You'll save yourself a lot of time, disappointment and confusion. read more

I recently got my newest addition to my family with a kitten. I had some very specific guidance on the kitten's personality since he/she would be coming into a home with a very sad/anxious older cat (I lost his bonded mate a couple months prior). I told Nicole my situation and what I was looking for, and she suggested the perfect kitty! Of course I looked at the all the kittens, but because I only get a snapshot of the kittens personalities, I trusted Nicole and the foster parents to tell me about them outside of my short visit. I know the staff there loves all the kitties and wants to find a perfect fit for a family. They want to prevent a kitten/cat from being re-homed in the future because the kitten wasn't right for a family's lifestyle. So I totally trust they are doing what's best for the kittens lives, and hope they keep it up. I'm very happy with my newest little fur baby, and my older boy has already accepted him (and it's been a very short time). read more

This place is awesome. If you live in a neighborhood with a community of feral cats, they provide an amazing service on the cheaps--T-N-R. Trap, Neuter, Return. So, you borrow wild animal traps, coax your ferals into them, and twice a week, you're able to bring them into this clinic to get them fixed, their left ear is tipped (the universal symbol to vets and those in the know that the cat is sterile), and you care for them overnight (usually in your garage), releasing them the following morning to the same area you trapped them. They're able to live out their little feral lives without making more little kitten mouths to feed. Don't expect a sparkling clinic here, guys. This place is set up in a rustic warehouse. They don't get much funding, and feral fixes are cheap--$20 if you're Joe Anybody, or if you give up 2 sacred weekend afternoon hours for a workshop (which could really be condensed to 30 minutes, but I guess it proves you're dedicated), it's reduced to ten bucks per fix. So, line up your traps, place your sardines, set the trip plates, and get to fixin'. read more

Terrible to prevent the kittens from finding homes. I have tried to fill out an application twice and submitted. All I got was an email stating that they only work twice a week and will get back to me. Almost a month and a half later, no response. Have tried to volunteer, even donate, nothing. If you don't want to work that's fine. But why make the cats suffer by not letting them go to good homes? Thanks for nothing I guess. Will keep searching elsewhere. read more

There can't possibly be a better place to adopt a cat in the Denver area. We were so lucky to find Feline Fix and the wonderful, caring on-site staff and pre-adoption fostering. Our two sibling kittens are perfect and without this absolutely top-notch group would possibly have been homeless, feral cats. Hmm....I find it so very interesting that there were 3 very poor reviews all within a span of JUST 3 days i.e. Feb 2nd thru Feb 4th, 2019? And one of these reviewers apparently flew in from North Carolina just to try to adopt a kitten? As apparently there were no kittens that he could find to adopt in North Carolina so he then had no choice then but to buy a plane ticket to fly all the way out to Colorado, (as apparently Colorado is a neighboring state to North Carolina, so easy to fly to! LOL) with the expressed pursuit of coming to Feline Fix to try to adopt a kitten. But alas, even after all of that effort, he was still denied the opportunity to adopt a kitten. Yeah right. So, to all of you cyber bullies out there, if you want to get your revenge on this awesome charity by giving them a bad review just because they DO screen all applicants thoroughly before approving any adoption, (just as ALL animal shelters & rescues should), that is fine. But then don't contact all of your low life relatives & friends across the U.S. to have them also submit a bad review in, per your own directive & dictation. Yup....BUSTED!!! So now that we've covered that, here's the real truth about this awesome charity. However, first allow me to state my medical credentials so you know there is actually some credibility behind all of my statements here. So, my career involvements are that of a licensed Medical Lab Scientist, Director, Microbiologist & consultant thereof, of which has included work within the individual U.S. states' Public Health sectors, for the past 40 years now. As such, part of my current involvements detail around getting hospitals, medical facilities and labs ready for federal & state inspections, of which include JCAHO, CAP & CLIA. At present, I currently cover 9 states but previously had involvements in covering most of the U.S. Additionally, my involvements with animals have encompassed working as a volunteer, in varying capacities, within animal rescue work (both dogs & cats) for the past 49 years. Of which, for the past 4 years now, I've been deeply involved in trying to help cats with behavioral issues, of which many have been the direct result of traumatic abuse, by yes, you guessed it...HUMANS!! Hence, why ALL animal shelters & rescue groups definitely need to thoroughly screen ALL applicants! Consequently, per my stated educational, medical and clinical licensure, experiences & pursuits thereof, I really do know, what a poorly managed and unacceptable level of medical care by ANY medical facility, truly looks like, both in full view of patients as well as all of the stuff "behind the scenes" that the public would never know about, except for those of us of whom have worked as medical inspectors. And so it was through my medical & animal rescue friends, that I initially became acquainted with this charity in 2010, and was so impressed by the high level of medical care that they provide, that I began supporting them in various ways to help them with their mission of truly wanting to make a difference in the lives of ALL kittens and cats. Consequently, I can definitely assure everyone, that based on my medical licensure & vast experiences, Feline Fix is definitely one of the best medical animal rescue facilities that I've seen! So to all of you cyber bullies out there, let me ask you one question, what are YOU actually doing to make a difference in the lives of people and/or animals within the pursuant of ANY notable charity? AWFUL SERVICE! I drove 45 miles away after they had received my application. I had been approved at numerous other rescues, but beat out because I was never first in line. Well this time I dropped everything, got there quickly, adored the kitten and visa versa only to be told my application would be kept on file... so the foster parent's friends could be the one to adopt! What a disgrace. Nicole needs better management skills in this regard. Don't waste your time, especially since they have many young, inexperienced cat owners to call on. read more

I would definitely recommend Feline Fix to anybody who needs their cat to be fixed. The facilities were clean, and all the people were extremely nice and knowledgeable. I dropped off my kitty around 830 and got him back around noon. He was already back to his playful lovey kitty self almost right away. Five stars in not enough to thank this organization for all the efforts they do to reduce the pet population in the metro area. Through the years they have helped us to manage a large cat colony in a impoverished trailer park with a management that was quite unconcerned about the large stray cat population living there. They not only convinced them to let the Divine Feline bring in a mobile unit for spay/neuter but offered these services to all residents within the area for free/reduced costs. This came with volunteers who helped trap and spent time teaching us to be effective as well. (Its not as easy as it looks!) As if this wasn't enough, in earlier years they funded a food drive that allowed colony care takers to pick up food at no cost allowing many cats the only meal they would receive from human hands. This food drive is now handled by another organization but we could not have continued without their help to feed what went from 5 to 60 strays very quickly. Recently they partnered their efforts with Divine Feline in what will be a powerful weapon in the fight for ending pet overpopulation. read more
