Charming place with more seating than it seems there should be. Quick, friendly service. The breakfast menu has all the usuals, plus some stretch offerings like crab cake benedict and latkes. I had the crab cake bennies and they were perfection - real crab and the right ratio of crab to breading to seasoning, eggs cooked just right, and fresh red skinned potatoes as home fries. Bonus: I'm pretty sure they serve Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters coffee. Next time, latkes and FLCR coffee is in my sights! read more

I had the best experience here on Thursday morning! Seating is available outside though we chose to sit inside. Right when you walk in, there is sanitizer available. Each table is cleared and cleaned between customers. Once seated, they bring everything you need, versus having the tables preset. Every employee we interacted with was lovely. They were welcoming, attentive and on their game. And the food...delicious!! Picture perfect plating and the taste matched. Small, quant breakfast and lunch cafe with friendly staff and good food. The chicken sandwich I had was nicely cooked, juicy and not over cooked and served on a decent roll. The chicken sandwich cake with a side, I chose the side salad which was crisp and very fresh. My company had the Ahi Tuna Wrap which he said was absolutely delicious and was going to come back again and have. Depending on the time of day, parking and/or maneuvering around the parking lot can be a slight problem but it's worth it for the food and comfortable atmosphere that the 5 Mile Cafe has to offer. It's hard to come by a breakfast place that doesn't just serve the same old fare. I'm glad we came here. The food was delicious. Portions were very generous, my son loved the bear chocolate chip pancakes, and the Five Mile Plate was a great take on a Rochester tradition (poached eggs, sausage patties, meat hot sauce that had a nice spice to it, onion, home fries, and toast). I just had Mother's Day brunch here. We were a small party of three and had a table that could seat four tucked away in a room upstairs with only 5 tables. I love Eggs Benedict but am not fond of Canadian bacon. The kitchen accommodated my request to make my Eggs Benedict with Lox instead of Canadian Bacon. It was plated beautifully and absolutely delicious! My companion got the Corned Beef Hash. He also asked for it prepared a specific way. The kitchen was very accommodating. And the food was delicious. On a whim, we got the Latkes as a side to share. So glad we did. The prices are reasonable. The atmosphere was intimate but spacious. Andre was friendly and gracious. A friend and I had a recent reservation for an early lunch. I think we must have hit an off day. They have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu, with breakfast items served until closing. We both ordered pancake combos. Both of our meals were overcooked and relatively flavorless. My coffee was surprisingly weak. I asked for another cup that was also weak. This is a favorite spot of mine to escape from my kids for breakfast in the morning. The restaurant is located in a renovated house and it's always clean and well-maintained. The coffee always features a daily flavor that's always a welcome change for me from regular coffee (Coconut Macaroon and Jamaican Me Crazy are my favorites). My waitress does a great job of keeping the cup full, and since I've always had the same waitress (Lisa), she's always warm and friendly. While I usually favor their pancakes, today the Hungry Man special sounded too good to pass up. A wrap that had fried eggs, hash browns, caramelized onions, sausage and cheddar cheese. The wrap was huge. AND IT CAME WITH A SHORT STACK OF PANCAKES. Short stacks at this cafe equal two pancakes the size of Shaquille O'Neal's face. The meal was a literal love letter to my belly. My wife was unable to finish the same special, proving once again who the pig is in our marriage. So, this was another "find" on Yelp after being unable to get into a different place that we frequent, that was fairly close and I'm so glad it was!! This is a house that was converted to a restaurant and so cute! . We went without a reservation one Sunday morning and did have to wait outside for about 15 mins. Worth the wait.. this is an absolutely adorable place which I think is family owned and operated (heard a girl talking to another customer about her mother's purchase of the property) This is a small, adorably quaint place that has lovely people taking care of their clientele...it also had really good homemade food!! I got the grilled veggie and scrambled egg wrap which was delicious... filled with zucchini, peppers, mushrooms and the eggs and cheese then finished on the grill.. mmm... and caveman bf got homemade corned beef hash that he thought was delicious, with eggs and toast. The staff was incredibly friendly however it took A LONG TIME to get our food. We could have cared less on any other Sunday but we had an appt that day so were a little anxious about our food arriving with time to spare for us to get to our appt. I decided to use DoorDash to get a omelet from here. Reviews looked good so I decided to try it out. I ordered the chicken fajita omelet. It looked yummy. As soon as I took a bite of the omelet, if I had chewed any harder I would've knocked a filling out. But whatever I decided to try another bite. Within two seconds I spit it out. The chicken tasted spoiled and it had an AWFUL taste and smell. There goes a $17 dollar meal in the trash. I'm disappointed and I won't be spending any money here. This is such a gem. We ate outdoors. The servers and even the cook were all so friendly and inviting. The layout of the building and the road puts the outdoor seating out back which is quieter and further from the road. Stopped here based on our location and Yelp reviews. We had our 2yr old grandson with us. We were warmly greeted and seated promptly. We for got a drinking cup but they could supply a small cup and water. The kids menu was good kid food. The adult menu was very nice. We ordered a cobb salad and a chicken salad sandwich. My wife said it was one of the best chicken salad sandwiches she has had in a long time. The cob salad was good and I could share the tomato and cucumber with my grandson. He took his time with his chicken fingers, dill pickles tomato and cucumber enjoying all then folks around him. If you are in the area this is a good place for lunch! read more
