Great time to go when there's no one here as on the weekends! I ordered an omelette with spinach, mushroom, artichoke broccoli And the sausage made from Steve's brothers sausage place

This place is a bustling breakfast spot on a Sunday morning! Seating is limited. Atmosphere is busy! Food was hot and fresh. Pancakes were enjoyed greatly. I would pass on the home fries next time; they tasted like they were from canned potatoes.

My wife and I stopped here for a late breakfast/early lunch. The diner is in a little strip mall and plenty of parking. It was busy and we were seated by a friendly greeter. Inside has plenty of seating and very clean. Our waitress was friendly and quick with the coffee and refills. I ordered the Dumpster. Wow it was good. My wife ordered the bananas foster French toast. She loved it. Great experience overall. And the pancakes are humongous. Maybe next time.

Decent brunch place, extensive menu with tons of savory and sweet options, including a whole page of their love cakes (pancakes) which are absolutely enormous. The omelette and french toast we got were ok, nothing too special. The hashbrowns in particular were very oily and not crispy, honestly worse than McDonalds. It was pretty busy when we came on a Saturday and it was ~15 min wait for a table so we chose to sit at the counter. Service was very friendly and the whole restaurant had a nice family friendly atmosphere.

Steve's is really delicious, the love cakes are super good! But the prices are just a tad high for what they are serving. They raised their prices and my bill was just a little too high for a diner, I'd rather make my own pancakes for what they are charging. And it took a really long time to get our food when there wasn't a rush of people. I'll definitely go back but not as frequently with those prices.

Ham and cheese club, subbed French Fries

I am not too familiar with restaurants in this area so good ol' Yelp to the rescue. This diner has a pretty good rating so I suggested this place to meet my in-laws while I was visiting. We came around 12:30pm on a Saturday. This place was PACKED. We had a 20-30 minute wait, not terrible. I had been CRAVING a turkey club. Unfortunately, at 12:30 they were OUT of turkey. I picked a ham and cheese club instead. A little disappointed that the sides were chips, veggie sticks, applesauce or mac salad. I subbed fries (for nearly $4 extra!!) my sandwich was good nonetheless. My in-laws got a burger (big and delicious) and a tuna melt (which was quite disappointing. The tuna was cold and the cheese was barely melted but we didn't say anything.) We did see several jaw-dropping pancakes (excuse me, love cakes) go by. Hubcap-sized. Crazy big! Our waitress was really nice. Food took a bit to come out but the place was super busy. Gave us time to catch up. NBD.

Do you want pancakes the size of your head? Then you're in luck! Steve's Diner has everything a traditional diner has and more. The cannoli pancakes are my all time favorite, although they're so big I usually have to take home half as leftovers! There's usually a wait and they don't take reservations, but it doesn't take too long and it's highly worth it. Traditional diner vibes but the food is so much better. Definitely check it out!

Ask the Community - The Original Steve's Diner

Can they accomodate large groups of 16-20 people?

I'm not sure how willing they are to rearrange their tables, but I think it would be tough (although could accommodate if you are willing to sit at tables for 4-6 at a table)

Do they serve breakfast menu through lunch time?

    Yes

    Is it wheelchair accessible?

You should be able to access restaurant with wheelchair. The restaurant is generally busy especially at prime breakfast times. So space can be limited.

Is the expansion of the diner complete?

    Yes they re-opened on 4/17/17

Which was nice and there was a band playing next door in the Pavilion. The hostess also provided us with our place settings & drink and food menu. Then our waitress came to the table a few minutes later and we got two ice waters with lemon and I got a glass of moscato. I also got the Lentil soup which was delicious I ate that up right quick. And I also got the Dolmades which were also quite good I had 1. I was full by this time with the soup and having some of his Tabouleh which was also really good. He ordered the Pita with chicken/ steak/ shrimp in it and he was also quite happy with his meal. And then we got dessert I got the Baklava (Delicious) I love me my Baklava lol! And he got the chocolate cake & 2 coffees. The waitress & waitstaff were all pleasant knowledgeable and helpful. Plus it was a nice night. So we will be back soon.

It seemed as though our table was an inconvenience to his evening. It was about 15min into us sitting down before we were asked about ordering which he rushed us through. We did however get water right away, and later on the same woman was very prompt with bussing our table. My friends enjoyed their meals, but we waited almost 10min for my meal to come out of the kitchen (falafel pita) after my friends all received their meals. The server walked past and looked at me three times before my friend addressed that my food was not out yet. No apology, just telling us it's on the way out in as few words as possible. When it arrived, it was cold and the falafel was over-fried but at that point I was so hungry I didn't care to complain. When we were finishing our meals, the server reached across the table with a stack of napkins, no words exiting his mouth, but direct eye contact made until we took the napkins from his hand. It was an unpleasant experience and we will not be returning. The saving grace of the evening was our ice cream treat at Pittsford Dairy!

Generally I would not eat at the Food Court but when I saw Pita Chik and their menu, I knew I had to try it. I was extremely thrilled that I did place my order and pleasantly surprised at how fresh and tasty my meal was. I order the California Salad with Falafal. and pita on the side. The lettuce was crisp and the ingredients all fresh and delicious...and plentiful! The falafal was as I remembered when I was in the Middle East many years ago and my years of ordering it in NYC where I worked. My friend ordered the Greek Gyro and it was packed fully with meat, tomatoes and onions. She left nothing on her plate. BTW, neither did I...my plate was totally cleaned of any salad, falafal and pita. The size was surprisingly large for the price. If you are at Eastview Mall and need some extra strength to continue shopping, you definetly need to stop by Pita Chik for a healthy, energy boosting meal. If you don't want to eat at the Mall, you can order takeout and bring it home. I am so happy that I decided to step up to the Pita Chik counter and happy to see a vegetarian menu for me and a menu that would accommodate my friend as well that likes meat. You won't be disappointed by the meal choices which are plentiful and the pricing surprisingly reasonable. Oh, one more thing, the gentleman that took our order was very sweet and patient with us since we were taking our time in figuring out what to order. One last thing, please leave a tip in the tip jar...all tips are donated. I will most definetly be returning! Just the thought of it is making my mouth water. Bon Appetit to all!

The environment was small but open, feeling like you had somehow found the nicest little gem. And the food was immaculate. Every bite felt like 3, both complex and yet not overwhelming. On the reservation form (online) it doesn't mention needing to place a comment in the notes for special occasions that you'd like a booth- so unfortunately, even though the place was pretty empty upon arrival we were unable to have a booth - the hostess said "had I known by you placing that request in the comments section online I might have been able to secure you a booth- but it's not guaranteed." - wait, what?? Not sure why they take online reservations then. Started dinner with a salad which was delicious and bread that was pretty basic and unfortunately the oil that they served with it was a simple and nothing special. For our entrees, my partner had the dual filets, which I'm sorry to report were seasoned with so much pepper that it took away from the steaks themselves. I had the salmon wrapped in bacon- which was superb. My partner had wished he had gotten it after trying one compared to his and after tasting his steak I'd have to agree it would have been a better choice. Hoping if we try this again it will be a better experience. Staff were nice, but not very welcoming. Decor could use some upgrades. Not sure if I would recommend.

!!!!CASH OR CHECK ONLY (no joke and they have an ATM inside)!!…read more So we finally got to check this spot out in Pittsford on Schoen Place. I'll be honest, we completely missed it at first (our fault!), but it's actually across from Label 7 or Level 7 or whatever it's called. The restaurant offers both indoor seating and snd area for outdoor dining during warmer weather. It's a smaller space but has a nice, casual feel, with Greek-inspired photos and decor on the walls. They seem to do a steady mix of dine in and takeout. We arrived around 5:15 PM on a Saturday, and it quickly filled up. Service was good, though it appeared to be just the owner and one other person running tue front of house they were definitely hustling. The menu is fairly extensive, though I'm not sure how many vegetarian options are available. We started with the fried calamari, which came with lemon and a dipping sauce (possibly garlic). It was good, though not standout. For my entrée, I ordered a platter with gyro meat and chicken, served with rice, tzatziki, and salad. The flavors were solid, but the rice was unfortunately lukewarm. I asked for extra tzatziki, which came in handy because my husband's gyro sandwich didn't include any, something that surprised us. Thankfully, I had enough to share. He did enjoy his meal overall and said the fries (ordered on the side) were tasty, though $6 for a side of fries felt a bit steep. Whatever I also had a glass of Greek white wine, which I enjoyed. Their wine and beer selection is small but decent. Overall, the food was good and the atmosphere welcoming. Just a heads-up: it's cash only, and because of the limited space, it's probably a good idea to call ahead if you're going with a group. Parking is shared in the area. I'd come back.

Pretty good food service was slow it also felt really empty. Otherwise, the spaghetti was good.read more
