    For my first visit I kept it simple and tried one pastry. Kouign Amann caught my eye immediately. Perfect texture. Soft inside with a crunchy and flaky glazed exterior. The flavor was good but only con for me is it was way too salty. I read another review that said similar unfortunately so don't think I'd give it a second chance but I do look forward to trying something else. Next time I would try a lye roll or focaccia if I return. Cold ambiance with cafeteria like seating. The seating and lobby was my least favorite part it felt cold and unwelcoming. The service seemed stressed and not enthusiastic to speak with customers so with the combined cold lobby it felt not fun. Sea Wolf Bakers has a cool name and I bet some delicious treats but my first experience was forgettable and not impressive. Don't know if I'd go out of my way to return being honest.

    I assumed this place would be packed on weekends, so I decided to go on a weekday instead and visited on Wednesday around 9 am. It was still quite busy there are only about eight tables, and seven of them were full. One thing to note is that the space gets very noisy even with just a few people, so I can imagine it becoming extremely loud when it's completely crowded. I can see why many customers were choosing to take their orders to go. I ordered a latte (8oz) and a chocolate croissant. The croissant was very flaky and absolutely delicious probably the best I've had in Seattle. However, since it was a chocolate croissant, I expected a bit more chocolate. There was very little overall, and most of it ended up in a single bite. That said, I really enjoyed the combination of the coffee and the croissant they complemented each other very well. I'll definitely be back to try more of their bakery items.

    Wow Sea Wolf really surprised me - the food was better than I expected. I resisted the urge to get anything sweet on my first visit; instead we sampled a variety of the savory options. The roasted mushroom sandwich was 5/5 for me - really great flavor combinations, more complex than I expected. The cheddar lye roll was another 5/5 - I immediately regretted not getting more! I also tried the seasonal biscuit which was parmesan black pepper - another one I liked more than expected. My sister got the seasonal focaccia (with sesame and roasted carrots) and the savory croissant (red onion jam and chevre) and she loved both! It wasn't busy at all at noon on a Monday - lucky us! We did takeout but there was plenty of seating available for a dine-in option. Parking can be a bit tricky with the only option being what you find on the street.

    We ordered what was described as a caramelized croissant, but it wasn't as sweet as we expected. That said, we did enjoy the crisp, caramelized top layer, it had a nice texture and was the highlight for us.

    Sea Wolf is truly a pillar of Seattle's baking scene. As a full-on bread nerd and previous bread baker myself, this place consistently blows my mind. Their seasonal pastries never miss (I still dream about the Thanksgiving-time pumpkin pastry), the cinnamon rolls are legitimately several meals (they're HUGE and so yummy warmed up), and they make what is easily the best sourdough in the city. Also: their vegan brioche deserves WAY more hype than it gets, it is absolutely stellar. That said, service has been hit-or-miss in the past and has honestly deterred us from going at times. However, on our most recent visit during the holiday season (typically extra strain on the team), the staff was genuinely kind and welcoming, which felt like a big shift in the right direction. Bonus points for the outdoor patio, which is absolutely lovely and makes the whole experience feel extra special. I have happily made this place our regular bread spot & wouldn't have it any other way!

    Cute little bakery! Many options to choose from. We got the pesto corn focaccia and their savory croissant. The savory croissant was really flakey and yummy filling. The focaccia had a soft, airy, and chewy interior and it was even better after heating it up! Service was fast. Would come back again to try their other items!

    Wow. A real high quality bakery that I'll always be thinking about until my next visit. I really loved the pretzel and chocolate croissant, and I'd love to come back and give their other pastries a try! Service was really nice and knowledgable of all the pastries. There's street parking, and during my visit on a weekday morning, it was kind of difficult to find. There's inside and outside seating as well, but space is limited.

    Hands down top bakery in the country. Their pastries especially their croissants are on par with those in Paris . Super light and airy and well proofed Croissants: flaky and chewy and crunchy all at once. There's a reason why the line is long here.

    My favorite bakery in Seattle! After a taste test of 10 bakeries, they are my favorite croissant in the city. Some of my favorites: chocolate oat cookie, Burger bun, croissant, sandwich bread, soft pretzel, jalapeno cheddar scone...clearly you can't go wrong!

    Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 4/5 I had heard so much about this spot so decided to stop by on a trip down to Seattle! We came on a Friday morning and there was a short line out the door with no seating left inside. Luckily the line moved fast and there were some tables available outside but I could see it being hard to grab one on the weekend so I would definitely suggest coming early! They had lots of different bread options, some sandwich options, and then sweet and savoury pastries. We decided to share a chocolate chip cookie and a Kouign-amann. While both were good I wouldn't say they were the best I've ever had - I'd definitely want to try a savory item and bread next time I came! The staff was lovely and efficient so I'd stop by again for sure to try some other things

    Amazing bakery with a great openair space as well as indoors seatings. You really can't go wrong with their goodies here. We tried the Cinnamon Roll which was a perefectly laminated yeast dough filled with raisins and caramel sauce. I love how deep and not sweet the caramel was. The additional frosting is also a must. Again, not heavy or overly sweet at all! This sweet treat paired great with their Savory Pastry which was a Ricotta Asparagus Danish this time of the year. Deliciously savory with crispy pastry. We loved every bite of it. The Corta was also great with all the baked goods. 10/10.

    During our recent stay in Fremont, we walked to Sea Wolf Bakers and enjoyed delicious breakfast pastries in their cool outdoor space. Great that they have a good selection of savory pastries as I prefer these over the sweet ones. I loved their snap pea/herbs/lemon/Calabrian chili ricotta croissant & the pesto/red pepper/hot honey focaccia. These were unusual, inventive flavor combinations that worked really well. We visited a few times and there was always a bit of a line. It moves fast though. If we're ever back in the neighbourhood, we'll head on over.

    Solid spot for local pastries and bread. Friendly staff, but limited parking and indoor seating. Note that they don't have Wi-Fi, so it's not really a study café--more of a grab-and-go spot. I recommend their amazing cheddar jalapeño biscuits or the oat chocolate chip cookie (very vanilla-heavy and quite sweet). They also can't warm up their baked goods, so a few of the biscuits and scones can be dry or taste a bit stale. The interior also has quite a few fruit flies hovering over the pastries. Good spot if you're already exploring Fremont, but I wouldn't go out of my way to try them. The bakery also supplies other cafés like The Shop by Porter, if you want warmed-up pastries while studying with Wi-Fi.

The hardest part about visiting Pike Place is that there is so much to choose from and so much competition. Are there better bakeries? Probably. Is Le Panier great and easily accessible on the main strip of Pike Place? Yes. That fact makes it a great choice for your pastry needs.

I'm a big fan of the horchata brioche donut, so that's what I recommend you try. The pastries are reasonably priced and freshly made, and if you don't like things that are too sweet they will be perfect for you. I think the only complaint I've had is the drinks the barista has made can be very hit or miss, especially once with Chai I had. The barista was nice enough to remake the drink, but that's probably one area of improvement. Overall, this is a great little spot and I look forward to coming back again.

I understand the reviews about how this place doesn't live up to some extra hype. It's decent, solid and a great option for the area but to go out of your way for and wait thirty minutes in line? Not really.
