OMG this hole in the wall at Pike Place Market rules! Waiting in the Russian Bread lines with my comrades for a Piroshky is a must experience when traveling through the public market.. These pockets of gold are filled with a scrumptious meats , cheeses and much more goodies. Franks favorite is the Beef & Onion Piroshky. It's robust combination of meat & onion mix coursing through a flaky pastry. You can eat this anytime of day. Very flavorful and filling but leaves you craving for more, it's a good addiction to have in moderation. Just a note most of the time a line exists so don't cut cause it's rude. Do your pre-order research so you don't over stay your welcome trying to figure out what to order. Last and it's the most important thing is don't bite into right away. They can have extremely hot goo inside inside so if you don't want your mouth burnt you'll heed my warning... Come as Putin and you may get a free one but wear a shirt! Seriously these are the best under $8 treats you'll purchase in Seattle..
Stopped by Piroshky Piroshky while walking through the market and grabbed the salmon pate piroshky. It was really good. The pastry was warm, soft, and had a nice golden crust, and the filling was rich and flavorful without being too heavy. The salmon had a smooth texture and a balanced taste that worked really well with the bread. It's one of those quick grab spots, but the quality stands out. You can see why there's usually a line. Service was fast and efficient, and everything came out fresh. Definitely worth stopping for if you're at the market and want something different from the usual options.

My friends and I loved trying this place on a weekday afternoon! The line looked long at first, but it moved quickly. We tried a few of their pastries, and I personally tried thier coffee cinnamon bun. It was delicious; it had a strong coffee and cinnamon flavor that stood out. The bun itself was a great size fro the price, making it feel like a solid value. Quick service, delicious pastries, and worth it in Pike Place area!
Finally trying a piroshky! We got the famous smoked salmon pate and the cheese and potato. The cheese and potato was a let down because it didn't have much flavor, unfortunately. But the good thing is the salmon pate was great. Super smoky and flavorful. I can see why it's their best seller!! Must get this one.
This place has become a ritual for me and my wife whenever we come to Seattle. Whenever we walk by Pikes place I always seem to remember the amazing smells of this specific place for some reason. I feel like a cartoon character that levitates in the air being drawn to the smell and it never lets us down. We got lucky with a shorter than expected line which only took about 5 mins before we were able to order. I do appreciate the interior of the restaurant it's not big and used as a quick in and out thing but there is something authentic about it which I can appreciate. We always gets their two signature items which is the salmon bread and their beef and cheese. These two are always so solid and they make for great leftovers too! Overall if you're into the pastry savory items then definitely stop by this place. Even better is if you take it and enjoy it by the water feels like you're doing Seattle right coming by this great spot!

With their new debut at tmobile park (Mariners stadium), it is nice to know that we have a reliable favorite nearby. The hearty filling is what distinguishes this gem from any other place. With the delicious crust that is not bready but just right. My go to is cheeseburger, and my family loves the salmon. It's not a sit down type of restaurant so know before you go. Service is always 10/10 here!
Finally got around to trying Piroshky Piroshky after hearing about it for a while from my wife. We grabbed a few different items to try and get a feel for what they offer. Service was quick and easy, despite having to wait in line. But they try to take orders and serve customers quickly. Food: Beef & Cheese (6/10): This one reminded me a lot of an Indian cutlet in terms of flavor. It was solid overall, and my wife actually liked this one the most. For me, it was just okay -- good, but nothing I'd go out of my way for again. Uli's Jalapeño & Cheddar Sausage (6/10): Probably my favorite out of everything we tried. It had a nice kick of spice and good flavor throughout. Simple, but done well. I still prefer a southern jalapeño & cheese sausage kolache. Cheddar Garlic Roll (6/10): Not bad, but a bit too heavy for me. I was expecting more of a garlic flavor, but it mostly just tasted like bread and cheese. It needed that extra punch to stand out. Almond Vanilla (7/10): This was the biggest letdown for me. Most of it was just plain, dry bread with very little filling. Toward the end, I finally got a bite with the almond filling, and it was actually really good -- which made it more disappointing that it wasn't consistent throughout. If it had been evenly filled, this probably would've been my favorite. Based on the actual full flavor, I gave it a 7. Overall, it was a mixed bag. Some items were solid, but nothing really blew me away. I can see the appeal, especially if you like trying different types of pastries, but for me it wasn't as memorable as I expected.
I love Piroshky Piroshky! Definitely a staple anytime we are in Seattle. We tried some new flavors and they did not disappoint one bit. The Apple cinnamon roll had these beautiful flavors and I loved the texture of the thin apples. The Ruben was unexpected, and the flavors went so well together. I will say l LOVE sauerkraut and you do not get much of the tang from it in this. We will definitely be back!! They also have merch now, I'm not sure if I missed this before, but it's SO cute.

I felt a little rushed since you only have a short amount of time before being called up to the next cashier. There are two cashiers, and even though the staff helping me was nice and patient, the tight space and people passing by made it feel a bit hurried. This is a grab-and-go place, so there's no seating. I tried the smoked salmon pate, which was interesting, but not really my favorite. The rhubarb flavor was also interesting. The chocolate cream hazelnut was okay, the hazelnut flavor wasn't very rich, and the texture was a bit like mochi ? not creamy like Nutella as I had hoped. The orange cream, however, was really good. Overall, I didn't quite get the hype, but it was worth trying at least once.
We stopped by Piroshky Piroshky on our recent trip to Seattle, and it was so good that we went back again before leaving. My favorite pastry we tried was the beef & cheese, and my husband's favorite was the beef & onion. Both of these were packed with flavor. The outside of the beef & cheese was similar to a super soft roll, while the beef & onion was thicker overall and had a more flaky outside. We both really liked the smoked salmon pate. We also tried the Uli's sausage jalapeño, which was ok but probably our least favorite of these four. There was a line out front both times, but it moved pretty fast. If we are back in the future, I would love to try their sweet items too. read more
Another must go during our annual sibling trip! We got the chicken curry, beef & onion, and bacon hash piroshky. Super fresh, warm, and steaming at first bite. Usually long lines, but we came after the rush and there was no line (hallelujah!). Very straightforward and next time, I'd definitely buy more to take home. read more

Was lucky enough to wait less than 5 minutes for these yummy bites. We tried the garlic & cheese, and egg, bacon, hash brown. Both amazing! The dough, the filling. Perfect for a chilly day. They move quickly if you know what you want. Highly recommend these unique bites if visiting Seattle! read more

My friend recommended Piroshky Piroshky while I was visiting Seattle, so I decided to give it a try. We went on a Saturday, and it was super busy, but I will say the line moved surprisingly fast, which I appreciated. A heads-up if it's your first time: the shop itself is very small, so most of the wait is outside, and they only let about 2-3 people inside at a time. Even with the crowd, the process was efficient, and the staff we interacted with were very nice. We wanted both savory and sweet, so we tried the popular beef & cheese bun, chicken teriyaki, and hazelnut roll. The beef & cheese bun was definitely the best thing we tried. It was warm, flavorful, and reminded me of the filling inside an Asian meat bun, which I enjoyed. The chicken teriyaki was disappointing. It didn't look anything like the photo they advertise, and the flavor was just okay, nothing memorable. The hazelnut roll was decent and not overly sweet, which I liked, but it wasn't something I'd go out of my way for. Overall, I personally think this place is a bit overhyped. The fast-moving line and friendly staff were a plus, and the beef & cheese bun was good, but based on what we tried, I'm not sure it fully lived up to the hype. Still, if you've never had it before, it may be worth trying once since they have plenty of other menu options. read more

The line is kind of annoying. There's always a line, but you want honestly understand why the bread is super fresh. My personal favorite is the salmon one but a lot of people like the potato one as well. There's nowhere to sit, but you can always take them to go they travel very well. read more
This was part of our food crawl at Pike Place and a great spot! We didn't have to wait that long which was great. We got 2 pastries: the salmon one and the cream filled one. The salmon one was quite tasty and the cream one was good too but I think we expected it to be more of a custard so it just didn't have as much filling as I thought it would. I've always wanted to try Piroshky Piroshky, and I am so glad I did! We got the Cheddar Garlic Garlic Roll and the Potato & Mushroom Piroshky. Our absolute favorite of the two was hands down the Cheddar Garlic Roll. The texture was crispy on the outside, then soft and cheesy on the inside with pops of green onion. It was the perfect combination of fresh bread, garlic, and cheese! The Potato & Mushroom was just okay AFTER trying the Roll but wasn't bad at all. It's in its own category, the Piroshky dough was flaky and doughy inside, and more on the savory side. I would love to go back and try more of their other menu options! read more

Staff were very friendly and quick with service! 4.5/5 - Smoked Salmon Pâté Piroshky - Quite filling and with a warm crunch pastry and smoked salmon stuffing. You'll definitely be satisfied if you love smoked salmon. Great choice for a breakfast! Thought it was slightly dry but an otherwise great piroshky option. read more
We stopped by Piroshky Piroshky and it absolutely lived up to the hype. I ordered their February special, the Strawberry Marzipan Heart, and it was so good, perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. My husband had the Uli's Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage and the Beef & Onion. I had a bite of both and they were savory, flavorful, and not too salty at all. The line was long, but it moved fairly quickly and was totally worth the wait. Definitely a must-try when visiting Seattle. read more
Went on a weekday and there was no line! However the weekend was PACKED so keep that in mind. The pastry I got was the beef & cheese and I also got the potato and mushroom but I forgot to take a pic of it lol however IT WAS DELICIOUS! This bakery is very famous in the Pike Market. The located to the north of Steward Ave. There is always a line in front of the store during peak hours. I got the almond vanilla Piroshky. This is almond with vanilla cream filling. The pastry is dusted with sugar powder. Sound delicious and taste delicious. Today we were at the off time no line. The purchase was very easy. read more

My family came to visit Pikes with my girlfriend's family and this was a recommended bakery to check out. This was one of our favorite places because we enjoyed picking various pastries and sharing them together. My favorite was the Ruben piroshky because the corned beef and sauerkraut paired nicely. We were visiting town for a mini vacation and this place was highly recommended. We arrived early in the morning to grab few baked goods. We ordered the beef and cheese and jalapeño sausage and a few other items. Everything was good so we had to come back the next day to order again. Piroshky piroshky was on our list to check out on our food crawl through Pike Place. On a sunny Saturday afternoon there was a line but it honestly moved very quickly and we had food from our last stop to eat in line! I also loved that the staff came through the line to let us take pics of the menu so we could order quickly when we reached the front. My friend and I decided to get the Salmon Pate and the Moscow Roll. We got our pastries in to go bags very quickly and found seating in the waterfront park nearby. The salmon pate came in a cute fish shape and was so yummy!! The Moscow roll was also delish with powdered sugar on top (I wish there was more Bavarian cream in mine, it seemed to have disappeared). Overall, yummy and can see why it's a local favorite! read more

Stopped by Piroshky Piroshky to try the most recommended smoked salmon pâté piroshky and it was absolutely lovely. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly baked. The fish-shaped bread made it even more unique and memorable. A great spot for a quick, delicious bite while exploring the Pike Public Market. read more
Been on my list to visit when I came to Seattle! I'm so glad I was able to stop by and try. We ended up getting the Beef and Cheese Piroshky, and the Ham, Cheese, and Spinach Piroshky. I wasn't a huge fan of beef and cheese, but it was still really good if you're a meat lover! It was super rich and savory. My favorite was the Ham, Cheese, and Spinach Piroshky. I even came back the following day just to get another. It was cheesy, creamy, and had the perfect balance of flavors all together especially with the flaky crust. Piroshky Piroshky is a Seattle staple! My favorites are the beef and onion and uli's jalapeno cheddar sausage. There is always a long line later in the day, but the line moves fast. I'd recommend going in the mornings when there is a very short line. The shop is really small and can only hold a few people. You walk in, order and you leave from the other side. read more
Saw the hype, wanted to try. Thought I would love it, but it was okay. Ordered the salmon pate and Reuben. Salmon pate was pretty good, I love pate but nothing fancy about the Reuben. I heard the beef and cheese is supposed to be the best one. I wish I ordered, was in Seattle for the weekend. The line can get long, but I don't think the wait was too bad. It's fast pace so you definitely want to make sure you know what you are ordering and not linger around in there. It's basically a walk in, pay, walk out concept. read more

Flight Attendant here. We grabbed a bunch and took with us on the plane. They do not appear to be quickly perishable.
Does the piroshki dough contain egg?
Their ingredients list mentions that the piroshkies contain egg, but not explicitly in the dough. It's listed as part of the egg wash and usually as part of the filling. Looks like each piroshky gets an egg wash.

Do you sell frozen or chilled pastries in store to pick up?
No, we do not. Frozen items are only available through pre-order or as an In Store Pickup from South Park.
Are they not doing shipping across the U.S. anymore? Goldbelly states it's "sold out" for the past few months.

I can say from recent experience due to COVID 19 - they did have gluten free options as I recall.
