Finally. This place checks ALL the boxes. Feels like you're in an upscale spot in LA, Vegas or Washington, DC. And while not pretentious it's hip and relaxed while being a place you want to dress up to go to. Every one of your senses will be delighted. The view, the smells, the food, the service, the hotel costes vibe lounge music playing in the backdrop to perfectly pair in creating a contemporary ambiance complimenting the whole environment. Great job. In a few weeks I've been 3 times. I've tried the caviar cones that are a burst and mirage of flavors that left me wanting to order a dozen. Delicious. The guacamole experience at first glance I had written off, but friends decided to order and I'm so glad they did. Delicious!!! The Chicharron and Tostones were out of this world in flavor definitely worth it. The Fig drink is amazing. The sunset vodka drink with ginger OMG! The Mandavi red is amazing, the port is delicious for an after dinner cap off as is the espresso martini. I love all their glassware and tableware. They use the right glasses for the right things. Service is attentive, they're around, but they're not pushing you to be out the door -which I love. Definitely more of an Italy dining experience where they want you to sit back and relax and take your time. I love that. Especially because the place is so beautiful. You don't wanna leave and the chairs are so comfortable that you don't want to get up. Back to the food, got the special which was pork with a cherry glaze and goat cheese, drizzle. To die for perfectly accompanied with the artichoke. The ahi tuna dinner entree was cooked perfectly and a beautiful presentation. The steak was perfectly cooked. Wasn't a big fan of the Potatoes au gratin but it presented beautifully- I'm just more of a classic when it comes to that dish and they had a unique take on it. The crème brûlée was good. I feel like it's a staple that you can't really make any more exceptional than a good crème brûlée is. The surprise was the brownie, which I would not have ordered but friends wanted to so I tried it. it was amazing. I love the presentation of how they serve it and the taste was absolutely unique perfection! They made something taste exceptionally different, even though it seems like it would be your usual brownie à la mode. It's got a unique flavor that I have a hard time describing besides I recommend you try it because it's absolutely delicious. I've decided that I will have to try everything on the menu at least once. Because some of the things that I immediately wrote off with the things that I love the most. So now I'm curious to try all of their menu items. They do have a way of making dishes very unique and all their own based on how they serve it or the way they have prepare it. The lighting and ambience is like no other restaurant in Tucson. This place is an event. Breathtaking in every regard. Sat outside all 3 times. Twice at tables and once at the sofa overlooking the 18th hole. Arrived between 630-730 all 3 times and was totally comfortable. I love Tucson's weather and sunsets and wore my sunglasses for 30 minutes one of the evenings while watching the sun set. I was unbothered by the Tucson heat- but this is one of the things I love most about living here. The misters with fans above the tables do a nice job of keeping it cool without you getting damp. If you're concerned for the heat, that's a good outdoor spot to sit. I'll have to try sitting indoors at some point but honestly, I prefer outside and away from A/C. Exceptional experience all the way around!

Alexis made our experience amazing. We will definitely be returning. My wife really enjoyed her birthday. The food was beyond amazing.

Right outside the main entrance overlooking the water. Beautiful grounds to enjoy after an exceptional meal.

Our family loves The Flying V and we spent time there three nights in a row during our stay at Loews. Can't wait to come back.

We came here on a Friday night without a reservation and were seated at the bar. There were plenty of empty tables outside the whole time we were there, we were told all tables were reserved, however. It didn't matter so much since there is a bar menu. We ordered the fondue and al pastor tacos, espresso martini and an old fashioned. The fondue was fantastic, we got extra bread. The tacos were very flavorful.

This recently renovated restaurant is at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. Beautiful views and very pleasant area especially if you enjoy your meal in their outdoor patio. Service was great. This is a fine dining restaurant so you will not be in and out of it quickly. Mango margarita is delicious and complemented my meal. I ordered salmon and also had an opportunity to try their short rib. Both dishes were spectacular. The salmon very juicy, I ordered it medium. Short rib was super tender, not a huge fan of their mashed potatoes. For dessert we shared apple crisp. Its quite big and perfect for sharing

My new favorite spot! The outdoor patio renovation is outstanding-a true desert oasis! You HAVE to stop in for a drink or a bite and soak in the experience. Devour some cornbread, and feast on a filet (locally sourced). Special spot for a date night or to entertain out of town guests for a sunset dining experience.

This place is beautiful! I took my husband on his birthday and requested outdoor seating by the water and got exactly what I requested. Thank you! The food was presented beautiful and tasted great! Our server, I'm sorry, I forgot her name but she was amazing!!!!! I definitely recommend this place! You will not be disappointed!

We were staying at the resort and decided to try out this restaurant. We enjoyed ourselves, but didn't LOVE it. Ordered the corn soup that was delicious! Entrees were the special: short rib stuffed chile relleno and mushroom tamales. The chile relleno was good, short rib was seasoned well. The tamales were fried so it made them really heavy and the sauce felt heavy too. Got creme brulee for dessert, which was decent. Service was great, especially since we had our baby with us.

I've heard and seen someone's vegan menu there but I just called and asked if they have a vegan menu and they said "Vegetarian". Can anyone confirm a vegan menu?

I'm pretty confident they can make you a vegan meal. Most people don't know the difference between vegan and vegetarian but like I said I'm pretty sure the chef knows the difference. Two year ago I had lunch their with Deepak Chopra . Not bragging,…

What are the vegan options or accommodations here?

We were in Gavi's last weekend and our server, Peter, started out friendly enough, but when we joked a bit with him, I guess he felt it gave him license to hit on my 19 year-old daughter. Gross. Peter looks to be about 45 years old and doesn't wear a ring so it's obvious he is on the prowl as he told my daughter that he was surprised she didn't have a boyfriend because she is hot and that he would love to date her. My daughter was beyond embarrased and a bit creeped out by this comment. I was downright pissed off and my daughter immediately grabbed my arm and looked me in the eyes to tell me to let it go. Against my wishes, I did. I wanted to make a scene like none other but had to consider my family. I refrained. I considered informing management, but again, my daughter implored me not to. I obliged. My only recourse is to publicly recognize Gavi for having a creep on staff and to warn patrons of the restaurant to keep your underaged girls close to you as I can't imagine what this creep would do if he encountered a young girl unsupervised by her parents.

The first thing I need to own is that it's a shame I hadn't visited here before. We arrived at 5:30p and both the bar and patio areas were packed - standing room only, and no wonder. They have one of the better happy hours (daily! 3:00 - 6:30p) - able to accommodate both the slacker and the over-timer Lol. Basic drinks are all discounted such as house wines, well drinks, and beers. Their bottled wines and craft cocktails are all exempt though. Many of their appetizers are also discounted and some quite substantially. We grabbed a glass of the house cabernet ($6, normally $8) and the grilled shrimp wrapped in jalapeno bacon ($13, normally $20). NOTE: happy hour pricing is Only available if you order/consume at the bar or on the patio and that's clear in advance, and understandable. The dining areas were only half full at this early point (but filled up by 6:30) and the host kindly encouraged us to enjoy our starters at the bar as she would hold our table. We were then sat near the "back" of this long venue and frankly, aside from the lone windowed table at the very front, this would be my preferred seating - cozy, intimate, with only five other tables around us. For dinner drinks she got an Italian Nebbiolo Bricco Magno Red Blend ($13/glass, reliably terrific/mellow) and I got the Chupacabra ($15) Mezcal/prickly pear cocktail, strong and excellent as well. We got an additional appetizer: the roasted bone marrow ($19). I had never had marrow before but she raved about how good this can be if done properly (bonus, it is super healthy). Folks, a picture/worth a 1000... suffice to say this was simply outstanding! We both had long work weeks and were craving meat - just a damn good steak. Our waiter, without blinking recommended the 8oz bison filet mignon ($65) as his absolute menu fav, and then the day's special: 14oz ribeye ($50). We ordered each. All dinners come with two sides and we each got the day's special: roasted half artichoke and she got the loaded baked potato while I got the mashed potatoes. Food arrived about 15 minutes later at good temperature (warm/rested with a strong char) with each being accurately grilled (medium and medium-rare). Taste was outstanding. Neither one of us had bison filet before and marveled how it (subtly) added a "wild" edge to an always outstanding, lean-but-tender, cut of beef. The loaded baked was terrific, however, the mashed was the only disappointment... a plainer mash one could not make themselves - pure white and borderline dry, no milk, butter, egg, gravy(?), nothing to make it creamy or add any flavor dimension - a surprise frankly. The only other "critique" is that the dessert menu could add some kind of dark/chocolate concoction. All in all, though, we loved our experience and have decided to add this to our periodic special dinners rotation! Staff was outstanding - just the proper balance of attentive and quiet - and waters never went below half empty. Parking is free and plentiful, especially behind the restaurant (and yes, if you continue on around the back there is another long entrance/exit driveway that comes out the other side of Jimmy John's and Noodleholics.
