I wish their wines by the glass list were more extensive but I understand they have a limited amount of "handles". Service was low key and friendly. For my first time at a wine bar, Tinajas set the bar (literally)! We stopped in on a Sunday around 4:30pm and had such a lovely experience! We ordered a bites tray with aged goat cheese (firmer with a nice rind and absolutely divine), crispy gluten-free crackers, generous slices of Genoa salami, and a delectable raspberry basil jam -- such a perfect flavor combo. I paired mine with a glass of Deep Sky "Big Bang" Malbec (smooth and bold), while my friend enjoyed a bright Le P'tit Paysan Chardonnay. I really like the mix and match style of the bites and they have a robust wine and beer list to suit anyones fancy. The bartender Morgan was amazing -- super friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The art deco style of the space is gorgeous, the chill music set the perfect mood, and the bar seating was incredibly comfortable. Even the bathrooms were stunning -- complete with a bidet for that extra touch of luxury! Prices seemed reasonable for the atmosphere and location -it was certainly a nice treat! Parking was easy for a Sunday evening, but I imagine the shopping center might be busier during the week. Either way, I'll definitely be back for more wine and good vibes! read more

I must apologize. I'm late on posting for my Yelp elite event. What a fantastic place. It feels almost like an oasis in the desert when you walk in. The servers are knowledgeable, the wine is tasty and reasonably priced. The appetizers are great. I was even told the owner dug out the other side of the barfor $80,000 so that they could look us in the eye when they're talking to us. what an attention to detail. They took the time to explain the food and the wine to us and made us feel very welcome. We will absolutely be going back. read more

The booths were incredibly comfortable, and I loved the Negroni Spritz, which is made with wine instead of gin. We went on the grand opening evening of Tinajas, and I look forward to going back! The space is very chic, combining art deco touches with more organic elements like plants and a waterfall behind the bar. It'd be a great place for a holiday happy hour! They've got wines and beers on tap, as well as a bottle shop, and some snacks -- think charcuterie elements -- on the menu. The night we were there, a food truck was parked outside too! It would be a great pre- or post-dinner place to chat and unwind. The staff was friendly, but definitely slammed when we visited (the grand opening was PACKED). Wow the interior of this place is gorgeous. There are so many beautiful touches and the ambiance is a 10 out of 10. Even the bathroom is one of the fanciest I've ever seen, equipped with a bidet. We redeemed the Tucson Foodie voucher for a free tasting. The girl working who I think was the owner was so nice and helpful. The gal behind the counter were saying how he's spent a lot of money to lower the floor behind the bar so that they were high-level with the customers. Felt California style elegance and Tucson casual which made it a nice evening out. The Torres Truffle Chips, Crème Fraiche & Roasted Garlic appetizer was absolutely delicious. When we ordered a regular portion we couldn't find it in the menu and assumed the truffle order listed on the menu was the same. It was not. It was a bag of truffle chips opened in front of us on a nice plate. Suggestion: maybe open the bag in the back and serve it in a nice bowl instead? Quality drinks, a selection of small bites, and a classy interior to tie it all off (seriously, the photos don't do it justice - the interior is absolutely gorgeous with it's greens and gold accents). While Tinajas has class, it maintains a casual vibe that doesn't feel snobbish or uninviting. Every time we've gone we've had fun chats with the bartenders who are both friendly and knowledgeable (in other words, the service is good). While Tinajas serves wine and beer, they do make a few cocktails using wine. There are also non-alcoholic drinks. The food includes things you'd usually find on a charcuterie board - cheese, crackers, etc. I've actually left here full despite them not serving entire meals. We saw this place randomly in the area opposite a supermarket we were at, and dropped in the following day (the day after Christmas - they were having a pajama party)! We had a great time! It's fairly new so not a ton of people were there but we were immediately greeted by a super welcoming staff of two ladies who were very knowledgeable about wine from multiple regions around the world. They made great suggestions about what on their list we might like based on our personal preferences, and they weren't above offering a small taste to ensure we'd enjoy a glass. We really had a great time here not just having a glass, but also chatting about wine regions in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, California, and the Finger Lakes in NY. One of the hostesses has been around the world and her wine knowledge shines through as a result! We only visit Tucson once a year but this was a real highlight and we're sure to return! read more

We had dinner before cause we thought they didn't have food but they do have appetizer type food. We sat at the couches that has a table with an ice bucket hidden in the center. The bartender/server came over quickly with water and menus. The menu has well-thought-out tasting notes and lists a celebrity or fictional character that fits the wine at the end--- so fun! I got a red blend that was delicious I would have ordered a bottle if it was that kind of night haha.
