Always on the lookout for dog friendly restaurants WITH good food. Extra star for letting us bring our best friend in AND sitting at the table! Came in with the wifey and our 2yr old bulldog on a quiet Saturday afternoon. Luckily he was tired out from an earlier adventure and a dog wash. Food was excellent! Fish tacos was fire! Will be back again!

Visiting Tacoma around lunchtime, craving burgers & wings. A local friend suggested The Forum and thanks, what a gem! From the outside you can't tell what a quaint cozy historic building this is. Great architectural features, very large restaurant pub. The burgers satisfied our cravings: bacon blue cheese burger, guacamole bacon burger both juicy & tasty. The wings made us happy as well!

Sweet chilli wings and onion rings

Stopped in at Forum and the food did not disappoint. The wings were perfectly cooked; crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor (we got the sweet chili). The onion rings were just as impressive: golden, crunchy, and addictive on their own. The batter/ onion ratio was superb, but even better with the variety of dipping sauces they brought out. Between the wings, onion rings, and all the sauces to try, this spot definitely delivered. Solid vibes, good portions, and food that hits the spot. Highly recommend if you're looking for classic bar eats done right. I will be back to try the buffalo wings and French dip. Heard it was fire!

Met a friend I hadn't seen in 40 years. Server was so friendly and made great recommendations. I live in Portland, but will be back. Tacoma has a gem

    Hair in food

Absolutely awful experience ordering food here. My wife had hair in her fries and stuck into her grilled cheese. This place should have the health inspector show up.

Came by for some after dinner drinks. My friend loves this place and told me all about how the old bar was won in a card game. Really old, wood, antique decor from the old Olympus hotel. Some of the ornate carvings are from monasteries from France. Drinks were great- I ordered the infused liquor flight- a few were not very good- hard to stomach actually. I had ordered a chaser but it never arrived. Overall service was pretty bad but it was obvious they were beyond short staffed. We shared the onion rings and they were perfection- beer battered yumminess..

Cajun shrimp tacos with caeser salad

Been here several times over the years but today was not the kitchens day.Fairly quiet Saturday afternoon and the food took way longer to get to our table.Certainly didn't see any other plates coming out before ours.Anyway! The meal was very good .Generous caeser side salad with chunks of Parmesan all over it.Four tacos for me is a bit much and I'd prefer sautéed shrimp over breaded, but, still tasty and great value.Servers were polite and observant.Plenty of TV's and a good choice of music in this air conditioned pub. Some outdoor seating.

The Forum staff pass out dirty glasses, the place is too well put together for the customer service being provided.

No acknowledgment at the bar after over 20 mins, ruined a bar crawl. Also, the food is mid. Just close.

Can people under 21 eat here?

No I don't think so, seems to be adult only.

Is this place dog friendly? I saw on bringfido.com that it was ok, cool to have pups not only outside but inside too?

Yes the are dog friendly. Bring them in!! I've actually seen 3 120lb dogs chillin at the end of a table. They all got treats!

The atmosphere is warm and lively, the location is perfect, and the entire staff made the experience feel elevated without being pretentious. We had a 5:15 dinner reservation and the restaurant was already packed, which honestly says a lot. The staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about both the wine list and menu, and every recommendation felt thoughtfully curated. The food was phenomenal. We have the chef special which was a chicken skin dish and the short rib pasta with the added burrata; flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. Definitely one of those places that feels just as good for a casual night out as it does for celebrating something special. Already looking forward to coming back.

This spot is off A street and is located within the big grey building that is the post office. You'll enter where there's stairs on both sides of a grey wall/stone structure. And once you're in, take a right and and the restaurant will be straight ahead. And of course parking, downtown is mostly street parking. And you have to pay during certain hours, so look at the signs to enure you don't get a ticket because the police are pretty well known to not give any grace. Made a reservation online to celebrate a birthday. (And just FYI with the small print, if you cancel less than a day before or a no show, you are subject to a $20 fee PER person). Alright, so this spot has no air conditioning even though its pretty small in there, so I'd recommend sitting outside. Or else, the inside can become a sauna especially in the summer. Had initially requested to sit inside, totally forgetting about the no A/C and my friend who has never been here requested to sit outside. But the server became short with us and was less than pleasant but had intially agreed to take us outside. So it was a confusing situation. And I was embarrassed to bring my friend here because they were talked at and not to and was suggested to sit at a dirty table at that. Food was mid and wasn't as good as it used to be. There wasn't much flavor in either dish.

If I hate to scan a QR code for a menu and there aren't even pictures, what's the point? I don't need a fancy menu, but a printed menu is nicer. We got the Skillet Smashed Fingerlings/potatoes appetizer to start, very delicious! My dinner companion got the Classic Smash Burger. She said the burger was great, and she knew there were going to be caramelized onions, but there was a lot packed in the middle of the patty. The novelty wore off quickly. She still said it was good overall. I ordered the Scarlet Rosemary (chicken and homemade pasta), and it was really good. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was fantastic, but the only problem was; there wasn't enough of it (sauce) and when the dish cooled as we ate, you couldn't taste the sauce much. About 7-10 minutes after getting our food, my friend took a bite of my pasta and said "I don't taste any flavor at all" and I realized I was mostly tasting the chicken at this point and I was sliding the pasta in the very small bit of sauce on the plate. I would suggest don't be stingy with the sauce because it was great. Otherwise the food was wonderful and we'll plan on going back.
