We went out here on a passport tour around Memorial Day. I bet I've driven by this place a million times and didn't realize it was there. What a delightful place in a converted older home. When we arrived there was a fire in an outside fireplace and plenty of wines to sample. They started us off in a guest house or perhaps it used to be a detached garage and then had us move over to the main house and the primary tasting area. A nice selection of wines to sample and of course we purchased wine while we were there. It's a great way to get these various wineries noticed is to put them in a book on sale for a long weekend and have people weed through them and try places they have not been to before. I think the reason I've not noticed it prior is that I'm normally parked on the road in traffic waiting to get into Dundee and this is (where the winery is located) the traffic finally starts to move so you certainly don't want to exit. Hopefully, the bypass in a few years will shake this traffic jam situation up a bit. All in all, I'll stop again, I'll just make it a time (read Sunday) when the traffic isn't so terrible. read more

Wine was delicious---experience itself---meh. I was most excited about visiting this winery because I am obsessed with the wine they make. It is super cute and quaint with the perfect outdoor space. In fact we even had a picnic as they allow you to bring outside food. I am only giving it 3 stars because the two girls working were more interested in my nail color and the dresses they were wearing then telling us about any of the wines, a history of the wine itself. We barely got a hello and we were there for over an hour. The wine is great, but the experience was far from extraordinary. read more

Beautiful, small, and intimate winery! From start to finish, service was amazing. The wines were delicious and the scenery was everything! The tasting was very reasonably priced. $15 for 5 tastes. They pour your first, let you find a seat, and come pour more as you're ready. They wave the tasting fees if you buy either two white wines or one red. I bought one Pinot Noir and one Pinot Gris. These guys get a 4 from me for multiple reasons. The wine was the best tasting of the three wineries we visited, the setting was the most relaxing and the wines were affordable. We sat under huge canopies of trees in wicker chairs laughing and sharing jokes and sipping each other's wines. Pete even bought 3 bottles to bring home. This was our second stop on our 3 winery tour through Willamette and we picked it because of my mom had tried a bottle before and loved it. We had a large party (10 people) and they suggested the carriage house, which was a perfect place to stash my loud family. They had a more expensive tasting menu with less wines so we decided to just buy a bottle of each and have our setup. That was the way to go! We were informed that we could have purchased our own food before we came but it was too late. So keep that in mind because they do not serve food! I really enjoyed the Chardonnay at this location. It seems as though the willamette Valley has a less harsh tasting Chardonnay, way better in my opinion! All in all this vineyard had a charming atmosphere, great service, and delicious wine. I love the customer service you get at this winery! Even knowing we had a two-for-one coupon, they let us seat ourselves somewhere comfy (a few pillowed chairs around a coffee table outside in the sun) and brought the pours to us. The quaint backyard garden area is really beautiful and has a feel of home...one of Martha Stewart's. As for the wines, every pour was delicious. You will find this little gem right on the highway. Five stars for the service here and great quality wines. They are located in a small cottage along the main highway. I enjoyed my tasting here and the everyone who worked here. Each one of them help out and worked the room to make sure everyone were served their tastings promptly. They even offered me tips on which wineries to visit next. I'd recommend stopping here first as I did, then go to White Rose Estate and then Domaine Drouhin to enjoy the wine and wonderful view of the valley. If you buy wine, they will waive the tasting fee. If these three employees will be working there, you won't be disappointed. Another tip they give me is don't feel as you need to tip anyone here as it is never expected. read more

He mysteriously dropped sending me notices (blamed it on my asking to be withdrawn, which was false) advised he would fix it - he did not. Now several months later, still not fixed and then he gets nasty and rude about it! Hell, it was HIS error and HIS error he never fixed. Wine club to be avoided. read more

Small, cutesy winery with some great Pinot Noirs. They offered us a lot of great wines to taste, and the fellow working there, Ian, was very helpful and a great conversationalist. It wasn't the most spectacular scenery or anything, but it was definitely a great stop on our wine-tasting day. It was very friendly, down-to-earth, and I'm fairly sure that the "tasting rooms" used to be somebody's house. Not super commercialized or anything, but some damned fine wines are what you'll find here. Bonus trivia: Apparently they are named after the owners' daughters. read more

This was the first stop on our tasting tour. We all fell in love with this place! The tasting room is located in a cute, old house with lots of charm! There are family pictures up on the wall, homey decorations, and lots of light. The employees were very friendly, and the tasting room got pretty crowded and lively while we were there. I think we could have stayed here much longer, but our driver came in to remind us that we had several other stops to make! I enjoyed all of the wines I tried, and took a bottle of Pinot Gris home with me (no tasting fee with a purchase). I would recommend this place to anyone! read more

A delightful combination of color, poise and product. We selected Four Graces as our first stop for a day of tastings in the Dundee area, earlier this week. We were not disappointed in the slightest. Their hostess, most charming, offered a 5 flight tasting for $10 inclusive of two pinot gris/blanc - followed by three PN's. Each bottling gave us the opportunity (and you) to get-to-know the Four Graces processes. All grapes are estate grown, as well. You be your own judge! Great winery, and even better wines. I love the small ambiance and warmth of the place. I'm not a wine coneisseur, but this place has one of the best pinot gris and blanc I've tasted. I like it light and fluffy. I tried finding it in Fred Meyer, since that's the only distributor, but never have much luck. The Four Graces is hands down, my favorite, on that strip of road in downtown Dundee. From the moment you step out of the parking lot, you are magically transported to another location, to an exotic cottage. The tasting room is well protected by many trees, and it is very comfortable and cozy, nothing like new tasting rooms tend to be. Four Graces is the opposite of that, it is very intimate and personal. I like the design and the lay out of the inside and outside space. And, the staff is very knowledgeable about wine. And, they have very good wine to offer, which helps itself too. Paul, is a great guy, as well as if you are lucky enough to be there when Nicole D. is working as well, she is a charmer as well. I also appreciate that they allowed us to taste with our dog outside with us, and overall they are very accomodating. Definitely try the entire tasting flights (all their wines are delicious!) But, I recommend leaving with a bottle or two of the 2013 Yamhill Carlton Reserve! read more

This is why you go wine tasting in Oregon. The tasting room is in a cute little cottage. Its conveniently close to the freeway, but not so close it effects the ambiance or noise level inside or outside of the house. They have a great little back patio area, perfect for summer time picnics. The staff is always amazing. They are happy to work in the tasting room and it shows. They know there stuff and are eager to share with you. They've got a map of the vineyards and a breakdown of the location of each grape clone too, details that can be hard to come by in other tasting rooms. Ultimately, all of this wouldn't matter if the wines were bad. That being said, the wines are absolutely delicious. Both the Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc are perfect examples of what these whites should be. It's their Pinot Noirs that really stand out. A day of wine tasting in the Willamette Valley has the potential to make people wary of drinking more Pinot Noir. I don't care where you have been before this stop, you would be sorry to not allow yourself the pleasure of trying these phenomenal pinots. read more

As for complaints about the proximity to the highway, it has never bothered me. Loved this place. The tasting fee is hefty, and they don't waive the fee even if you purchase. That's a drag. The tasting room itself is very small. It can't fit more than 5 people comfortably. It is in a charming, Pottery Barn-caliber cottage (thankfully doesn't feel as contrived as the store). Something about the lighting, wood paneling, and the outdoor patio sets just seems very REAL, SPONTANEOUS, and WELCOMING. If you've been to as many wineries as I have, this is something to really appreciate. (Yeah, most wineries, I agree, try to do this, but wind up feeling more like a department store, a chaotic garage, or, you fill in the blank) I agree with others, the whites really are the stand-outs here. The best pinot gris I've had in all W Valley. That's not easy, considering how great the others are. Of course, everyone's palate is different. But these are definitely worth trying. The pinot noirs are also excellent. The W Valley AVA designate tastes like glorious poop-in-a-Pinot Noir-glass. Yeah, those who know, KNOW and LOVE what I'm talkin about.... I've visited Four Graces several times and have had some mixed experiences. However, the good certainly outweighs the bad here. Especially the last couple of times. On our most recent visit we were entertaining some friends of friends from out of town, and they asked to check out this particular winery because they have enjoyed their wine before. We rolled in around 4 on a Sunday, and it was relatively quiet. We decided to sit outside and soak up the sun and enjoy the lovely grounds. To our surprise the wine attendant consistently came out to us to pour our next taste and even brought us glasses and carafes of water. This is a nice touch, and was mildly unexpected. The wine: it's good, there's no doubt about that. If you're trying to decide if it's worth the stop while in wine country, it most certainly is. read more

This was our first stop on our wine tour extravaganza. Mrs. K. and Julie P. were both big fans from previous experiences with Four Graces. In particular, they were huge fans of TFG pinot blanc. It is on the sweet side and a case may or may not have been bought last year. We were able to taste the five wines they had going that morning. They were all good. I thought over-priced. Definitely all wines I would drink, just not if I was paying for it/them. The place was a bit of a clusterfuck. Through no fault of TFG, but nevertheless there were two large groups just wrapping up when we got there, it was late-morning on a Saturday in September, so all the pieces were in place for a crowded tasting room. The staff was curt, which was fine, but gave us decent pours. Unfortunately, their pinot blanc was all sold out, so Julie P. was very disappointed. I'd go here again, maybe. I'd certainly shoot for a less busy time, if at all possible. read more

It's been over a year since I have been here, but I still felt it necessary to write a review (plus, I may or may not be going here in a couple of weeks again). This was the first stop at my bachelorette party. My friend arranged wine tasting, and while the previously rented limo didn't pan out, we rolled up in a big yellow school bus. Yep. That's how *I* roll. Oh yeah...did I add we were in sexy pirate gear? Regardless, the folks at Four Graces greeted us like we were Audrey Hepburn and her entourage. They treated us like royalty, and this was by far my favorite stop during the celebration of the end of single-womanhood. The gentleman in charge that day helped us pair each specific wine with cheese we had brought from Tillamook. He described each wine succinctly and accurately, and fit right in to the craziness that is a bachelorette party. Quite a balance, if I do say so myself. The tasting room is small, but homey and they have a great patio for enjoying their nice wine selection. When other patrons began arriving, he continued to attend to them, while still giving us the appropriate attention. Everything was so laid back and welcoming, it was definitely hard to leave...but alas, the party bus had to move on. The wines were delicious, refreshing, and light. I am not generally a fan of white wines unless they are very sweet, but I truly enjoyed all of their selections. The ladies and I felt the Pinot Gris was our favorite. Definitely worth making a stop if you are in the area (with or without a party bus). read more

Went here in March with a friend for my birthday, after going to Rex hill. Talk about polar opposite experience. Rex was busy with an event for their wine club, so they barely had time to even tell us what we were tasting.. As we drove up to Four Graces, I relaxed. The barn, the patio, the tasting room, it fit my want of beauty and appreciation for the surroundings. As we went in, they were also dealing with club shipments, however we were greeted warmly right away and given the "lay of the land" so to speak. We selected a combo pinot tasting variety, and went outside to sit on a greatly spaced/organized patio. Well, to my shear delight beyond just the excellent personal service, I found my favorite Pinot Gris. Fantastic. I bought a bottle with my 10% off from tasting, after being able to fully enjoy the new spring sun to our heart's content on the patio. This is not a big view-laced Juggernaut winery with pomp and circumstance. Its like fresh linen, homemade summer salad with fresh vegetables, and a true smile given with kindness and class. read more

With limited time, on our part, for this trip and a desire to learn as well as taste, we had time for only a few wineries. We did as much talking with the winery hosts as we did tasting. But that was fine with all of our stops, as it was a rainy weekday and visitors were few. So the hosts were happy to have us visit leisurely and most were willing to pour some wines that were not on the standard list for the day. So it was at Four Graces Winery. With the prior good work and reviews of fellow Yelpers, we could see that this winery met the good places list and was with in a convenient radius of our lodging at The Allison Inn. Paul and Francois were hosting the day we hit them. Both were cordial and quite knowledgeable of their wines and tips on the countryside, soils, and geology. We also found out that Four Graces was now part of a larger wine group, Foley Family Wines, headquartered in Healdsburg California. Their fourteen vineyards, wineries and estates are located in the western US and New Zealand. So, if you joined their wine club, you apparently get to benefit from buying discounts and specials from all their wineries. Their wines met our likes and we bought an even half dozen bottles, evenly divided between their luscious whites and standout Pinot Noirs. The whites (Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc) were from the 2013 vintage and do not appear to have increased in price from 2012 (see Michele R.'s review). We liked their reds (2012 vintage) well enough to buy the Willamette Pinot Noir ($32), the Dundee Vineyard PN ($45) and the Yamhill Vineyard PN ($45). All should age well, if we don't get to them right away. A beautiful site and good wines with hospitable hosts. What more could we have asked for? We spent our limited time well by visiting this winery. read more

This was my second favorite wine stop in Dundee. We had a tasting hosted by Andrew which was both relaxed and lovely. He payed attention to myself and my friend but wasn't overbearing. He answered our questions about the wines we were trying. The Courtney was by far my favorite but truly, truly you wouldn't hear me complain if I had a glass of any of their offerings in my hand. My only regret...buying only one bottle of the Courtney release. read more

Updates as of 09/21/11****** $10 Tasting, which I wouldn't have minded paying if they would have poured a decent amount but just enough to swish around in my mouth was not cutting it for me... Pinot Gris was fab! Pinot Noirs was were just ok. The Australian gentleman that worked there was abrasive at best. His whole attitude turned me off that place. To the point that even how great the Pinot Gris was and I was going to buy a bottle, we changed our mind because of him. UPDATE: The owner contacted me and apologized profusely. Which honestly in this day and age I thought the personal touch was just awesome. While the day was what it was, he totally made up for it and then some. I really appreciated just being contacted but he went above and beyond. I will definitely be back since he plans on using our experience in a training tool for the staff, which again a nice touch. read more

I never wrote a review before, though always check yelp for info. But this review is what I owe The Four Graces. The location is definitely very convenient, and the wines delicious. It was the third winery we visited that day, and had had quite a bit wines already. So when arrived, we turned down the flight, but asked them to pour us a little of their best wine. My husband immediately fell in love with their Black Family, and my little girl with their beautiful grounding. We spent around one hour and a half there, and chatted with Ben about the wines and the area for quite a while. Ben is such an interesting and warm person, and he made our staying there flying and happy. The lady in the tasting room was also very nice. Though I only end up with two bottles, they still packed my wined carefully. The Four Graces is our best memory and experience during our 14-day vacation in Oregon, and cannot say enough good about it. If anyone is going to visit the area, I would recommend a stop there, trying the wines, taking some photos, talking with Ben, and enjoying the time. read more

I find this a slightly difficult review to write, as I am not a drinker...at all, but have been to The Four Graces 3 times now with other parties, the most recent being today. Their wines always get consistently excellent reviews, especially their Reserve offerings. Their tasting events (that I have been to) are always well-attended (regardless of the weather) and well-appointed and their staff is always helpful, gracious and, above all else, knowledgeable. Honestly, were I a drinker, I would have given them 5 stars, but it doesn't seem quite right to give the 5th without that crucial element. A penalty? Perhaps, but take this at face value and check them out yourself... You won't be disappointed... I can tell you, the wine SMELLS fantastic...lol read more

The Four Graces was by far, the highlight of our wine trip to the Willamette Valley! The property is stunning, their wines are out of this world and handcrafted with such finesse and elegance and Paul our host for the morning, was fantastic. The winery was prepping for an event and their tasting room and back patio were pack with people, but Paul, who was working solo never missed a step and was attentive every step of the way! He made us feel like we were the only people there. I'm so glad we stopped and look forward to a return visit next year. read more

This is my favorite winery. It's so beautiful and right off the main road, so it's super easy to find. The wine is amazing (the Pinot blanc is my absolute favorite, but you can't go wrong with any of their wines) and all of the people that work there are friendly and informative. They also let us bring our pup, and they even gave us a bowl of water for him :) We've been here so many times, we became members last time! read more
