I spoke about Shrinking portions in previous reviews but they legit just took the portion. Nobody was in the place when we walked in and now i see why. On top of that, we ordered 3-4 empanadas which were not cooked and were raw dough on the interior of the empanada. We won't be back, it's clear the owners either don't care about yelp reviews or have checked out. We spent 75 dollars and I'm still hungry. What the hell is that?! read more

The Freakin Incan was a fine dining experience. I'd say that the service and general vibe of the restaurant were both average, although we did like the llamas on the walls. The speed was super quick from sitting down to leaving so if that's what you're after then this could be a great option for you, for us however, we just felt rushed. From sitting down to signing the check it was 40 minutes and that's with an appetizer included. Unfortunately the food just wasn't what we were looking for. While I did provide a unique taste, neither of us really enjoyed our food and left wanting something different. We both had different versions of the saltado and shared the plantains. The saltado was ok and the plantains seemed a little undercooked. All in all, I think if you're after Peruvian flavors and have a dish in mind then the Freakin Incan could be a great stop for you, but it just seemed to miss the mark for us. read more

Wow, it's great to find outstanding Peruvian food paired with excellent service. We shared the ceviche, and it was absolutely amazing. We also ordered the arroz con pollo, tallarín saltado, and seco de res, and saltado de camarones -- every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. We've been wanting try this place for a while and finally made the trip. We both how Lomo saltado and then decided to order the wings too. We love the Freakin Incan. The staff are lovely, attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant is clean and cute. Everything we have tried here has been delicious. I confess to think about the Yuka Frita's from here far too often. The three dipping sauces with come with them are super good. Casa De Cameron is a cold appetizer that's so good I eat it as a meal. Cameron Saltado, or any Saltado on the menu would be delicious. The 'stir fry sauce' is unbelievably good. Apparently you can buy a bottle of it to go too. Please come and try this restaurant for yourself. There are many many meat options which we didn't try but I am certain they would be just as good as the seafood dishes we order. read more

The camaron ceviche we started with was delicious!! For entrées, we got the Lomo saltado (wok stir fried filet mignon with onion, tomato and fries with a side of rice)- that was yummy! We basically had a good experience at The Freakin Incan in Roswell. Our server Edson was friendly and attentive. He checked on us frequently. The interior is decorated with many images of llamas. This creates a festive and friendly environment. My guest enjoyed the Pollo Saltado dish. The vegetables tasted fresh and the chicken was very flavorful. We initially started with the Papa a la Huancaina from the Street Food portion of the menu. It contained sliced russett potatoes, spicy creamy Ajì pepper sauce, with an egg and olive garnish. The sauce was mildly spicy but my guest found it to be too spicy. We might consider the Papa Rellena next time. While the food was good, and clearly everyone in the restaurant was enjoying the cuisine, I did not care for some of the flavor offerings. For example, many of the entrees included cilantro green rice. I have never liked cilantro, so I substituted with the white rice. If you love cilantro, then this definitely would be a place to try. If you are looking for authentic Peruvian food, then this is a great place to visit. I personally prefer the flavors of their sister restaurant, the Flippin Chicken, where the Peruvian style wings are some of the best I've ever had. Salud read more

I went to the movies and when I left I was very hungry. I did a quick research and this place had 4.5 stars so it was a quick sale. I came in and I was greeted and I told the bartender that I was ready to order. She took my order, got my water and then I had to wait. I ran out of water and I had to wait some more. The bartender seemed to be all over. The bar, the tables, running the food and clearing and cleaning tables. The service was all over the place but the food was amazing! The flavor and the texture was on point. If only the service was a good as the food! Maybe it is that way because the owner started with a food truck. What happened? We were regulars for years, even before they moved to the current location. I asked one of the servers who always seems to be our waiter. He said they had lost some of their cooks, which makes sense because food was not good. We ordered our usual around $120.00. We sent the food back twice and finally I said that I was not paying for the food as it was awful. They did not even argue the point that the food was horrible, they only charged us for drinks. After a a flick at the Movie Tavern next door we were delighted to try Peruvian. The ceviche was great and the lomo saltado also brought back memories of Peruvian in Miami. The restaurant is decorated with pictures of a lama in with different funny poses. The service was quick. They also sell t-shirts which some of the employees wear with the slogan: "Speak English, Dress Italian, Kiss French, Eat Peruvian." There is seating around the bar and a few tables. I ordered the Seco de Res and although it's a little on the pricey side in my opinion, I thought it was worth it for the amount of food they gave. It came with three large chunks of meat, cooked perfectly. They tore apart easily. I will say though I was a little disappointed in the overall flavor of the dish. The entire dish was undersalted, which I'm fine with, I'd rather too little salt than too much. It's not a big deal, I just added a bit more salt. However, the whole dish just tasted kind of bland. The beans tasted like nothing and were lukewarm, which kind of threw me off a bit. At least the beef was piping hot but again, in terms of flavor, it just tasted like it lacked spices. I asked for aji sauce and the waitress came back with two different kinds. They were delicious and added a lot more flavor to the dish, however, not sure how authentic they were (I've been to Peru before). My wife and I visited Peru a couple of years ago. We've been to this establishment multiple times, and it is the most authentic Peruvian cuisine we've had since. We started with one cheese and one chicken empanada (the sauce they come with is stellar) and ordered the arroz con pollo dish off of the kids menu. This came out quickly, and for you toddler parents out there ... you know how much that is appreciated. I usually get the Pollo Saltado, however I opted for the Camaron Saltado this go-around. You honestly cannot go bad with either selection. I ordered the Anticuchos (beef heart) for myself, and it truly was as good as I had in Peru. The meat is so juicy and tender that it makes you want to put in a second order for more. Dessert consisted of flan and rice pudding for the three of us to split. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Whether you are a fan of Peruvian food, or just want to be adventurous, there is something for everybody on the menu. Came here today for the first time for a late lunch, since we were in the area. Parking is easily accessible in the large free parking lot that is shared by all of the businesses in the shopping center. From the outside, The Freakin Incan doesn't look like much. Once you're inside, you'll find a nice spacious, clean and well maintained restaurant with comfy booths, nice decor, great service, and a nice looking bar. We were immediately greeted by one of the face masked employees, and she quickly showed us to a booth, where she took our drink orders and gestured toward a QR code displayed at the table and told us that we could access the menu using the code. We were the only customers in the restaurant the entire time we were there, and the staff was very attentive. After reviewing the menu, I ordered the arroz con pollo (braised chicken leg and thigh with cilantro green rice, and garnished with salsa criollo. R ordered the aguadito, a Peruvian cilantro-based chicken soup served with rice and potatoes. R's soup came with a wedge of lime, which he squeezed into the bowl to give his aguadito that a citrusy flavor. My meal was pretty tasty. The chicken pieces were on the dry side, and was well seasoned and had a great flavor. The cilantro green rice was great, and was actually the highlight of my meal. Once again, our server was great, and she checked on us a few times during our meal. We were too stuffed after we were done eating, so we skipped the desserts. Oh, and I got a veteran's discount after showing our server my ID card. The next time I come here, I'd like to try the lomo saltado, which is one of my two favorite Peruvian dishes. read more

I'll just start with.....Best Lomo saltado I've ever had. My husband was born in Peru and we have been to severallll Peruvian restaurants back home in Florida and always had home cooked meals close by from his family. We are new to the area in GA and finally found this restaurant and had to try it out even though it's about 30 minutes away. Totally worth it & we will absolutely be back! (We then learned that kids eat free on Tuesdays heyoooo!) Service was perfect - we arrived on a Saturday afternoon and a sweet young lady named Micaela happily greeted us at the hostess stand. She also turned out to be our server and was very friendly and helpful during our entire visit. She recommended some items on the menu and kept the chicha morada flowing. Customer service is so important to me and I was very impressed. (Bilingual servers available if needed) FOOD - everything was delicious! The chicha morada was homemade - SO GOOD - I've never had it homemade as every restaurant I've been to always serves me a store bought bottle. We actually asked for some to-go and our server delightfully brought us to-go cups! Papa a la huancaina - yum! Very good and had a little kick to it. I just wish they had more boiled eggs served with it. Generous serving (we didn't finish it as our appetizer). Lomo saltado - definitely the best I've ever had (and I'm sure we pretty much try this dish at every single Peruvian restaurant, lol). It has the perfect flavoring and the steak is on point. Paired with white rice - wow. It hits the spot! Pretty nice size portion, too. The Chicharron was amazinggg. I did not care for the yellow sauce it came with but squeeze some lime on it - whew! Chef's kiss. Aguadito - I'm a big soup person so I had to try this cilantro chicken soup. It was good, but I don't think I would order again. My kids tried the salchipapa and the wings with fries. I know it's nothing fancy but hey, they're kids and they were satisfied so I'm okay with that! I love easy peezy meals for them so I'm glad they even offered a kids menu. Next time I'll make sure they try the arroz verde (so I can try a bite!). Alfajores - delicious! Do yourself a favor and grab the 6 for $5. You won't regret it. I can't wait to try their flan next (they offer a coffee flan!). I was also surprised and thankful they had some available because it's almost always sold out at other places or they don't sell them. Overall I was very impressed by the service and delicious food. I didn't try any of their alcoholic beverages but they do offer the famous Pisco sour and a variety of beer (they had an entire bar area). Clean restrooms with diaper changing tables in BOTH the women's and men's restrooms. MUCH appreciated for having one in the men's restroom. Thank you! The restaurant itself is so freaking cute - modernly decorated, clean, spacious, plenty of tables and tons of cute pictures of llamas everywhere. Custom art on some of the walls. If you look back in my reviews you can probably find the review. We miss the roasted vegetables, chicken, and Papa a la Huancaina. I think we mostly miss the simplicity of this place. So we were excited to try The Freakin Incan. My mother in law got two empanadas - one with chicken the other with just cheese. She has almost zero tolerance for spice, so if that is you, stick with the cheese. The chicken was DELICIOUS tho. Her dish was Chicken Lomo Saltado. She enjoyed it. I got the Aguadito. Yum. My husband got the steak Lomo Saltado. He enjoyed it. The kids got the childrens menu ... cut hot dogs over French fries...the kids meal was a lot of food. A lot of hot dog and a lot of French fries - my kids eat like birds so they really could have split it. We didn't do any drinks... but next time we will try them and I'll update here. read more

I thought it was fantastic and one of the best lunches I've had in a while. The food is absolutely phenomenal. I got the Peruvian stirfry chicken and it was just so so so good. The vegetables themselves had been cooked nice and soft but had a slight little crunch left to them. There were french fries mixed into the dish. There was good quality chicken that was tender and juicy and to pull it all together was the stir fry sauce. It was an absolutely phenomenal stirfry sauce. It was pretty unique. I never had it before. It was savory and a little thick but it had a touch of acid and sweetness in there too. It perfectly coated everything and I thought it was fantastic. We had great drinks as well and there's a lot here that is very authentic Peruvian and I heard that the owner actually makes several trips to Peru each year to stay in touch with the culture. It really shows through what they are able to offer. If I could offer any complaint at all, it would probably be that the prices are a bit higher than most when a lot of the lunch entrees are $20. It's somewhat of a hesitation but I certainly think for how good and unique it is I would come back. Last note I would like to make is on the server because he was one of the best I've ever seen. I don't know if they have problems with staffing or if this guy just has it covered but he was hostess, cashier, bartender, food runner, and server to the entire restaurant. That's right. Only one person was running the entire front of house while we were here. The restaurant got almost full. They had 11 tables and two people at the bar and this guy didn't miss a beat. Hubby and I ordered online for takeout. It was about 30 minutes away from our home, so we waited until we were closer to press submit. The estimated cooking time was 15 minutes, we arrived in about 12 and the food was already finished and waiting for us. The inside of the restaurant is really warm and cozy, which is surprising considering it is in a shopping mall. We were able to pay at the register in the front and be on our way in minutes. I will say there are chairs right in front of the register which made us pretty uncomfortable because the distance given there were people sitting there, but otherwise it was fine. We ordered the following: (2) Empanadas - Lomo $9.90 Lomo Saltado $16.95 Tallarin Saltado - Lomo $17.95 Ceviche de Pescado $16.95 The empanadas were a road snack, obviously. While they were really tasty, we probably won't order them again. The filling to "shell" ratio was really off and they ate a bit greasy. We were so intrigued to try them, but will likely opt for something else next time. The Lomo Saltado and Tallarin Saltado with Lomo were perfect. Soooo tasty. We kept trading back and forth and couldn't decide which we like more. The ingredients were fresh and so so good. They were both really nice portions, unfortunately we could not stop eating so there were no left overs. The flavor of the ceviche is delightful. We paid the $1 up charge to make it spicy and it taste and heat were both spot on. I love spicy ceviche and this one did not disappoint in terms to flavor. We did end up throwing the ceviche away after a few bites because it was SO fishy and really really tough. I kept thinking of old fish as I ate it and couldn't keep going. I am not sure what fish they use or if we indeed were given ceviche that was a few day old. It was really unfortunate because the flavor was so good. The only other disappointment was that they don't offer grilled octopus. I am a sucker for octopus and Peruvian style is one of my favorites. I probably would have ordered 2 servings. UPDATE: Still love this place! So happy they have reopened after shelter in place. We ordered takeout (easy peasy from their website) & it was ready in twenty minutes and packaged really well. My husband commented he felt like he was actually dining-in but at home because the food was just as tasty as it is in the restaurant. They have beer, wine, pisco, & mixers available with your to go order also. Reopening for dine in June 1, 2020 reservations only. Wow! I've lived across from this restaurant for almost a year now, and I'm so disappointed I didn't stop in sooner. If you come for just one dish, you have to get the lomo saltado. This dish is life changing! The mixture of beef, fries, onions, peppers, and the Asian style sauce along with rice is magical. Yes, it's a lot of carbs. But man, so worth it.
