The atmosphere was very down home comfortable and service was extremely friendly and efficient…read more As for the food, the Farmers Biscuit of fried chicken, bacon, and cheddar was good, but was not a big fan of the maple sauce. That being said, the fried chicken breast was tender and not overly salted. The biscuit was good but prefer the biscuits from places like Hardee's which are crispy outside and fluffy inside. The Power Bowl was okay, not great. I was disappointed as I expected something more than what it was. Coffee was quite good and self-serve bottomless cup. Maple Street biscuit is definitely worth a try, but not worth going out of your way if you already have a biscuit place you enjoy that is closer by.

Inside, This open concept breakfast/lunch spot has a spacious and rustic dining room. Belly on up to the counter and place your order then find a seat. I ordered Chix Waffles and my husband got the Sticky Maple. His sandwich was definitely sticky and "not memorable". My waffle was cooked to perfection but I didn't taste nor see any of the things the menu said would be in it (bacon & something else). The breading on the chicken was good but the chicken were like fingers, not tenders. They were dry. The real maple syrup is what makes this place run- it was delicious on my meal but it also drove up the price. At least no one asked a tip (not even the cash register by default!) so I shouldn't be surprised. I don't think we'll be back as it's far, the service was nonexistent (no "Welcome", "Hello", "What can I get for you", or "Do you have any questions "? Service wins me over every time, even if the food is a little less than knocking my socks off. Sadly, this place didn't deliver.

Inside is lovely and clean with earthy decor and some toys for children by the restrooms. They also have a portable changing table available on request. I sat outside on the patio and they put a fan on me since it was warm. Lovely seats on the lawn shaded by a large tree as well as some deck seating. They have a large menu loaded with goodies. I found about 5-6 things I actually wanted at once but settled not he Veggie bowl and added chicken sausage. My bowl had sweet potato hash, cheese, kale, red peppers, red onion and mushrooms sautéed, topped with two eggs and my added chicken. It was a huge portion and it was really delicious. Perfectly cooked and healthy and loaded - the hash was phenomenal. My waitress was the sweetest and I really just enjoyed a lovely quiet lunch with the patio entirely to myself on a lovely summer afternoon. Couldn't have been better.

The owner had everyone in mind when it came to the food. There's a drink menu for kids and even something for the dogs . I ordered the coconut curry salmon . It was good . It lacked flavor, but I appreciated it for not being overly salty. My favorite meal was the avocado nachos. I have thought of them since my first time eating them. It is one of the most popular dishes on the menu. Ask long as it's offered I will always order it . The parking was a bit tight behind the house . When I arrived , I was very lucky to get the last spot . However , I noticed other patrons were parking next to the Root Canal office . It was an open area that appeared to be a makeshift parking area. There was outdoor seating, by which I saw quite a few people seating there . It looked cozy and no one seemed uncomfortable. As it was my first time there. I elected to eat inside. It wasn't a bad experience, but the home is very small . I can imagine it being congested . But I was there early on a Sunday . Will I eat here again ? Yes !

I've owned a restaurant in downtown Roswell I called this place out years ago for switching meat purveyors on the hanger steak and serving a lower grade meat. You know what happened? It got fixed. I came here years ago and had a subpar experience with a bartender who was too post counting her tips to serve me and my date on a Friday. You know what happened? They changed management. This place is what defines top tier. This place is what it means to deliver consistency in the name of public service. I had eaten here 237 times in a single year. I'm telling you: the menu is not driven by margin. It's driven by experience. I've eaten it all. You'll find a packed bar most nights because the regulars love this place. You'll discover bartenders remembering your drinks, servers remembering how you want your steak cooked, and hostesses knowing you prefer the bar. This is a 5 star experience with 3.5 star prices. It's elite in that regard, a date night spot or solo hangout that will never let you down. If Salt ever leaves Woodstock, may the bedrock beneath it burn.

The chicken sausage was pretty good as well. The Lows: I ordered on their website at 11:25 and requested the order for 12 pm. It wasn't ready until about 12:15. The Mac and Cheese wasn't very good. I expected more from a place that is supposed to have that southern comfort food vibe. If you like creamy Mac and cheese with the cheese pull... This ain't it. The In-between: we ordered food to go. The place is located in a shopping center next to the tropical smoothie place. Parking wasn't hard at all. It wasn't that busy when we went on Sunday morning. As noted, I had to wait about 15 minutes passed the original pick up time. They invited me to sit at the bar but no one offered me a water or anything while I waited. When I did finally receive the food, there was no apology for the delay either. Little service recovery attempts like that can go a long way.

The host was very friendly and got us to our table without any delays. Our server Amanda was very attentive and welcoming. She explained all of the gluten free items(my mom has celiacs) and gave us ample time to look over the menu. I got the hanger steak, she got the salmon. Both were amazing. With a heavy mound of onions and mushrooms on top, the grits ended up feeling dry and pulled all the moisture out of the bite. The flavor itself was fine, just lacking moisture and balance. We also ordered the scallops and risotto. The risotto was the standout. Bright, fresh finish, great texture, and not overpowering. The scallops, unfortunately, were the opposite. They had a noticeably strong smell right away, which usually means they're not as fresh as they should be, especially at a $40 price point. We took them home, but every time we opened the fridge the smell hit us, so they ultimately went in the trash. Despite this particular experience, we've always enjoyed this place. Service is consistently great, drinks are solid, and we usually leave happy. Hoping this was just an off evening, because we genuinely like coming here. Adding an additional * for the great service and because we haven't had a bad experience otherwise.
