Love this local GEM! Was in town visiting and wanted a local mom pop to grab breakfast before going to the beach. Came early and this is your no frills breakfast place with lovely servers! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is adorned with of course...frogs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Gets bustling during high season so get there early![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hefty portions! I got the crepe of the day which came with loads of fruit .

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Diner vibe, there's outside eating as well and a merch section with frog-themed goods.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're vegetarian don't get the breakfast potatoes, they're cooked in bacon grease.thr vegetable eggs Benedict was fine, nothing spectacular and the side options were sliced tomatoes, thr bacon home fries or grits, which had no flavor. It was affordable for the area but nothing I'd go back for seconds for.

Great breakfast spot! Don't be intimidated by how busy they are...they get you seated pretty quick and the food is worth it! There is also outside seating. In all fairness, it looked so good, I forgot to take a picture when it first came out. It had perfect bananas quartered on top of the crepe and a beautiful piece of fresh pineapple on fruit. There is also a slice banana bread I was not expecting, but nice touch. The crepe is huge! I was expecting maybe 2 thin crepes; not one massive one. Everything is so very fresh! My husband had the quiche Lorraine looked very small compared to my plate, but he said it was very filling and delicious. My only disappointment was the home fries were too soft for my taste, but flavor was good. Our server, Micayla was so calm and friendly, and very attentive given how super busy they were. Even Brian was very on top of coffee refills. It lives up to its name because everywhere you look, there are frogs decorating the place...cute I will absolutely be returning whenever I'm in St Pete!

Service was excellent. Outdoor patio was so loud you can't hear yourself think. Food was average if not gigantic portions. Definitely come here if starving after a night of drinking, don't expect much from the food and absolutely sit inside.

We just rolled into town last night, and after searching a little while I found this restaurant that was close by. The four of us drove over there and were seated almost immediately by a friendly staff. The service and attention we received was excellent and exceeded my expectations for such a popular place. Thank you Silia! From what I observed this restaurant is more popular for breakfast items, especially the cinnamon French toast. All the breakfast items on the menu sounded fantastic, and I would love to try them all when I come back. Pros: pulp in the orange juice, complementary fruit bowl because of kitchen delays. Cons: none

Our server was great. They were able to handle both my mother and mother in law being picky about their breakfast. Thank you and I'm sorry! I'm in the hospitality industry and I know what it's like. I did say "please don't spit in my food" after the odd requests that were asked. I dunno why anyone would want a fresh fruit crepe with the fruit not inside or on top. Anyways! Hahaha. I ordered the mushroom and cheese omelette... It had real cheese and fresh mushrooms. Thank you! It was exactly what I wanted. Plus the house potatoes were tasty and evil. My hubby ordered the roast beef omelette... cause why not?!? He said it was a little bland. Maybe it needed some of the liquid to add more flavor? Idk since I don't eat beef. The portion size was huge! My mom got the Florentine Benedict. The egg was could close to perfect and that's pretty impressive for a larger group and being super busy. Teen got the apple waffle. It was a Belgian waffle with some cooked apples on top. She scarfed it up. We did get some fresh fruit on the table and it tasted like onion. Not sure if in fridge with cut onions or cut on cutting board after onions? We sent it back... overall this was a tasty breakfast we needed! Thanks so much!

Stopped here on a visit to St. Pete because of the reviews. The food was okay. Eggs were not real eggs (egg beaters) which is not something I like. Bacon was good - portion size was decent We had the pecan waffle and bananas foster waffle which was good. We opted to sit outside because it was a nice day.

It was super crowded for a good reason. As a party of two we sat almost immediately and the food was incredible. We got the cinnamon bun french toast and the lox omelette. This was the best french toast I've ever had and the whipped cream was so delicious. The homemade strawberry preserves were also awesome. The staff was prompt and our food came out quick. It's so cute with the frogs everywhere.

Excellent breakfast spot! Clear regulars that come in early in the AM. Prices are very fair and portions are HUGE. Our server was very nice and attentive and food came out quick. The star was the cinnamon roll French toast but all their savory dishes were also delicious. The eggs, toast, coffee, and potatoes were classic diner food. Highly recommend if in the area.

My second time here and even better than the first. The entire breakfast was absolutely perfect, like 10 stars perfect. Had the eggs Benedict with home fries potatoes. The picture is worth a thousand words. Had some bacon too, thick peppery goodness cooked perfectly. Honestly, probably the best breakfast of my life and worth every cent.

Amazing service and amazing food. We were seated within ten min despite how busy they were. We were never left needing anything. The food was delicious. Hidden Gem! From the minimal wait time even though they looked super busy it only took 15 minutes. They are a well oiled machine, the service and food were amazing. The cleanliness was on point and the staff was super friendly. MUST TRY! read more

After eating here I am suprised that it doesnt have a 5 star rating. The food was better than I had expected after reading all the great reviews. Grits come with a huge dolap of butter. The emlettes are as big as your face. If the sausage isnt fresh made then it it at least locally sourced. My daughter got the lox omlette and it had a huge portion of salmon, not just a small shaving. All the eggs were cooked exactly to order. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Best breakfast ans in top three meals I had during my 11 day vacation. read more

Great lunch place in St Pete Beach. Large portions, tho. Ordered the Monte Christo omelet and ended up taking half home for supper. Only open until 2 pm so don't go there for supper! Super service. My coffee cup never got close to being empty and very friendly atmosphere. read more

My Mom and I took a Spring Break trip to St. Pete Beach a few weeks ago and I found The Frog Pond on Yelp when we were looking for a brunch spot on my birthday. Our visit to The Frog Pond DID NOT disappoint! Our server, as well as the other staff, was wonderful. I talked with the manager for a while about all of their frog decor, as I have a young niece who is frog-crazy, and I ended up buying one of their t-shirts for her. The manager was very friendly and I enjoyed talking to him. The food was SO amazingly delicious! I couldn't have imagined a better birthday brunch for myself! I had the spinach and cheese quiche, which came with a huge portion of home fried potatoes and fruit. My Mom and I shared the bananas foster waffle and O. M. G. I have never had such a delicious waffle in my life! To end our time there, the manager and staff came out and surprised me with one of their homemade, warm blueberry muffins with a candle, and sang happy birthday to me! I had no room left to enjoy the yummy muffin at the time, but what a very kind surprise! I'm sure we will travel back to St. Pete Beach again in the future, as we travel to FL often, and I will be sure to return to The Frog Pond again! Thank you all so much for helping to make my birthday and vacation special and memorable! read more

I love this place!! Hard to find a good restaurant in st Pete. I have yet to find a restaurant worth going back to in st pete, the frog pond however changed that for me. Eggs in a pan. So awesome. Service is great too. Staff is super friendly. read more

We came for breakfast with high expectations. As promised by other reviews, the portions were large and the food was pretty good. But we didn't have a great experience. We waited well over an hour for our food, and when it did come- it came out at different times. All of the other tables near us had the same problem. (Maybe it was just a bad day?) The place was PACKED and the tables were uncomfortably close together.. so if you have Covid concerns, do not go here. read more

You better come hungry! There are a lot of choices on the menu, and the portions are pretty large. Wait times are a bit long on the weekends if you have a party of 5 or more (but then again that is anywhere). You can call ahead and they will add you to the list! There are many places to eat in this area, but this will be a great pick whether you are on vacation or a regular! read more

This place is LEGIT! Was busy but we only waited about 10 minutes. The frog decor is everywhere- LOVE IT! There is a "coffee gal" who refills your coffee seriously every five minutes. Portions are gigantic- two people could easily split one entree!! Get the "house fries" side- they're sliced potatoes sautéed in a pan- SO AMAZING! They make their own strawberry jam that is also quite delicious! Prices are about average for restaurant breakfast these days. The one suggestion I gave for improvement- please please please get another hot sauce in addition to Tabasco!!! read more

This place was close to our hotel and has a great location near many other hotels. The host greeted us in a very friendly manner as if we were regulars, making us feel right at home. Our server, Bryan, was excellent. Such a nice young man, so polite and attentive to our table at all times. Luckily for us it was a Friday morning during our visit so there was no wait time. We did, however see people waiting outside on other weekdays, so we decided to give it a try since it was so full at other times. They have parking in the back and side of the building which is convenient. Coffee was hot, which for me is a must. Loved it. Husband had the meat lovers omelet which he said was delicious and good size portion, served with home fries and toast. My daughter had the Neptune Benedicts which were also very good, served with home fries. I had the classic benedicts and they were also very good. Service was great, ambiance was great, food was great! Overall a wonderful breakfast experience and we will definitely be coming back. Dress code is casual, didn't see anyone in swimsuit attire so not sure if it's allowed. They do have a few tables outdoors if you prefer to sit outside. The only recommendation I can make to the restaurant is to add a breakfast plate that includes pancakes. Highly recommend this place. read more

We were looking for a breakfast place in Treasure Island and came across the Frog Pond. It was a cute and quaint little place. We got seated immediately upon arriving. Found it on Yelp, figured I'd give it a try as I was on a layover and visiting family. They seated us pretty quickly considering how full the place was. Service was great, waitress was extremely helpful along with management, who came over regarding a question I had regarding something I can't eat. Coffee was regularly filled by a runner. My food came out warm, I was a bit disappointed, told the first person I saw, I believe a manager. He apologized, left the food there and with 10 minutes brought me a brand new steaming dish which he said he monitored. That was definitely above and beyond. Most restaurants normally take your plate and rewarm. They wanted to ensure I knew it was made fresh again. For that, I give them 5 stars, though I generally so everything has room for improvement. My husband and I love our breakfast food but this place was second to none! We were the last people to be seated before a long line started to form outside a little after 9:00... but you won't be disappointed if you wait!! After we landed in St Petersburg and dropped off our bags we decided to eat at this establishment. I did research and wanted a place with good food and from the photos we ate here. The wait wasn't long at all on a Thursday late morning. The host was very friendly and accommodating, I wish I knew his name but he was very welcoming. Our waitress was also nice. I had my eye on the cinnamon french toast and it was yummy as it sounds. I got a side of bacon which was 4 pieces and it was cooked perfect. My husband got a omelette and side of potatoes and he really enjoyed it. This definitely will be on my list in future visits to St Petersburg. read more

I just moved to St pete, and a friend invited me to breakfast and picked this location specifically because it's close to her house and she knew we would want to take out of town friends here! From the outside it's kind of a nondescript strip mall restaurants; inside is a cute little place with lots of character and tons of frogs. We were greeted quickly and take them to the table server got us coffee, and it seems like everyone in the place check in to see if we needed a refill. My friend said that everything she's ever had there was amazing but keep in mind your big portions, that she and her husband usually share an omelette. I went for the crêpe of the day; ham ,asparagus and Swiss cheese - it was huge! Came with a mound of fried potatoes and enough fresh fruit that it could've been a meal on its own. I ended up taking all of the fruit home and having it for lunch. Cute place, wonderful food, huge portions, great service; what more could you ask for. Absolutely on our list for great breakfast places! read more

The home fries had no taste and the bacon was served cold and hard as a board. My poached eggs were cooked with so much vinegar they tasted more like pickled eggs than poached. The waiter was unfriendly and not attentive, as we had to ask twice for the milk for the coffee and utensils. Sorry folks but our experience was disappointing, food was sub-par and overall I believe this place to be over priced and over rated.

She wanted a restaurant with outdoor seating, a view of the water, an excellent wine list, fine dining selections, AND open on a Monday night. I cried for Help from Yelp. 82 Degrees nailed all 5 criteria. At 6:15pm We were able to make an on-line reservation for three people for 6:30pm. Be careful to only park in spots designated for the restaurant or you will be towed. You can't miss the parking signs because they are plastered on every parking spot. We arrived and were immediately shown to a choice rooftop table just in time to enjoy a fine view of the sunset on the Gulf. After the sun set the bartender asked the diners at the dozen or so tables if they wanted the huge glass windows closed, and since it was starting to get chilly everyone agreed. My niece is very knowledgeable about wine, so she took charge of the wine list. After discussing the (Admittedly small, but well selected) list with the sommelier Laura chose the Iron + Sand Cabernet Sauvignon, a well-regarded, bold red wine from Paso Robles, California (4.8 Stars rating, I looked it up). She must have liked it, because she drank two glasses. Later on, she ordered a Pinot Grigio to go with her entree but I've forgotten the name. She also chose specialty drinks for Rich and I that were tasty and had a nice kick to them, but I don't remember their names either. I would have taken a picture of the drinks menu but my niece wouldn't let go of the list! (Which also meant we couldn't see the prices either, but like the saying goes: If you have to ask, you can't afford it!) It took us a while to study the menu. Just like the wine list, the menu has limited selections but offers excellent choices. It was hard to make a decision! We started off sharing Crab Cakes ($18) and Lobster Bruschetta ($21) appetizers, and we also shared an order of the Lobster Bisque ($15). All three of us agreed that the appetizers were yummy, but the Lobster Bisque was worth the trip all by itself! For my entree I ordered the Wild Caught Snapper with mango pineapple salsa and broccolini ($36) and Truffle Fries ($9). Rich went with the Grouper BLT ($26) and Laura chose the Parmesan Cream Pasta ($26) (Which was why she needed a white wine to go with her entree). Portions did not appear to be large, yet none of us were able to finish our entrees, leaving plenty for Rich and Laura to take home in biodegradable containers for a midnight snack. I'm sorry I wasn't quick enough to get pictures of the entrees. Rich and Laura are not used to snapping pics before digging in, but I can tell you they were all well presented. Even though we were all full, we couldn't resist sharing a slice of: SALTED CARAMEL BUTTERFINGER CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE!!! ($12). Just the name tells you everything you need to know. While Rich and I were dueling with our forks, Laura swooped in and ate most of the dessert, which is totally unfair but is a legitimate female perk so there was nothing we could do. Next time we'll order more than one slice! Our perky waitress was extremely busy serving everyone but managed to keep the entire restaurant happy with her service. I don't think I saw her standing still for more than a couple seconds. Didn't get her name, either, but I'm sure the excellent tip told her we were pleased.

Just don't forget to validate your parking, cuz they sure didn't ask preemptively. They were celebrating a 3-day grand reopening when we went on Saturday. There was *one* artisan in their market space. The music was pumping loud enough to not be able to converse. Although it drew a crowd of younger folks, there was not much to behold from the "grand" reopening. Not even s cost of paint. The beach bar may not have been part of the sprucing up idk, I didn't see anything worth celebrating. I meant to look at the size of the cocktail cup that we got (small), but $13-14 for a cocktail is highway robbery for the end result. And $18 for 6 wings ($3 a wing) was a little disappointing. I expected better of a Hilton adjoined restaurant. No one part was terrible. It was just the way they matched up - loud, expensive, small portions. If you're loud maybe you're cheap and tasty. If you're expensive, maybe you're fast and delicious. This was all the worst parts of a bar that doesn't care about its patrons' economics. A bar that wants to serve tourists with mediocrity and move on to the next crop of people who will never be there again. If you're a tourist it'll probably be fine, if overpriced. If you're a local, don't bother. To be fair, we should ask if there was anything good. hm ... no. We won't be returning. 3 stars is probably generous.

We've been wanting to try The Frog Pond for a few years. We stopped by for breakfast on our way to the Sarasota airport. I tried the 3 Cheese Quiche special of the day. It was very fluffy but lacking flavor, the cheese overpowered the quiche. The potatoes were burned, most were not edible. The stack of pancakes, we're overwhelming and not so tasty either. Eggs, were eggs. The kids French toast was average. The Cinnamon French Toast was GOOD, according to my 19yr old. The restaurant was clean, if you love frogs... this is your place. We had great breakfast. Food was excellent! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will be definitely back when in the area.

Review: I haven't been in for a while, but this visit…read morereminded me why it's still one of my absolute favorite spots. The Hobo soup is just as great as I remembered, and the blackened pork chop was cooked to perfection. You also can't go wrong with the sides--the pickled beets are fantastic, and they truly serve one of the best potato salads around. And don't even get me started on the biscuits; they are incredible. Even if they still don't quite cut the toast right, the food is so good it doesn't even matter. Highly recommended! . Service is incredible !!!still miss Brie and a fun place for ambience even if it is a Steelers place
