The Frog Pond was recommended to us by the staff at TradeWinds Resort right down the road. We attended a wedding there. This was a fabulous choice for breakfast. When we arrived, there was a crowd of people surrounding the outside. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait for our group of 10. It ended up being about 15 minutes. They sat us at a round table (with a tight squeeze) but all ten of us were able to fit. Our waiter was Tyler. He was absolutely wonderful. He let us know that everything on the menu came out in large portions. He offered his help several times and told us if we needed anything to let him know. They had a variety of benedicts on the menu so I ordered a veggie benedict. It's difficult for me to express just how delicious this entree was. I don't think I've had a benedict the way The Frog Pond makes it -- more restaurants should learn a lesson or two from them. The veggies were piled underneath the poached eggs and the hollandaise sauce was thick and creamy on top. Came with a side of home fries. Everyone who ordered a meal also had an orange slice on their plate. So fancy. When we finished eating, I noticed they had a little area with The Frog Pond merch. The employees were saying goodbye on our way out. Definitely a place that takes pride in making you feel like family. This was MUCH better than diner food and better than your typical fast food from Dunkin. I'll be letting all my family and friends here in Florida know about this place. The frog pond has the best breakfast around. If you were in Saint Pete Beach, do not miss out on getting breakfast here. we had the spinach cheese quiche. The banana fosters waffle. And a cinnamon roll French toast.. everything was amazing. The potato's are so heavenly, the fruit is really fresh and plenty of it on your plate to share! Our drinks were always full and the waitress was so friendly and nice, she had a good sens of humor! The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous! Our new favorite stop when we are in Saint Pete Beach. We will be back for sure! read more

A great lil breakfast spot! Searching through Yelp to find a place to grab a good breakfast during a recent trip to St. Pete Beach, we stumbled on the Frog Pond and the photos looked too delicious to pass up! While the cafe was definitely busy, we were lucky to get a table outside and be served quickly. I decided on the Frog Benedict, while my wife went with the special Strawberry Banana Blitz. Both were incredible and we couldn't stop singing their praise in between each mouthfull. I would recommend getting here early if you want a table inside, as I saw multiple families turned away due to the wait-time, but otherwise the Frog Pond is worth it. Thought I tried a new place out . Was seated immediately and waiter took our order . He was friendly and nice . I inquired about the orange juice and noticed they had two selection 1- orange juice 2- Fresh squeezed orange juice . I inquired about the fresh squeezed orange juice and not pasteurized or concentrate from a bottle or can . He assured me the difference and said it was fresh squeezed so I ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice . Placed my breakfast order and it came promptly. The food was good large portions but taste was pretty bland . The Belgian waffle was pretty soggy even with all the syrup and toppings on the side . Egg was pretty dried but tasted more like food to fill up with after a late night party . The service was prompt and servers were nice, polite and attentive . So far a good experience until I tasted my orange juice and definitely tasted like it came out of a bottle . I asked if this was fresh squeezed and the waiter kindly apologies and removed it off our bill . A few minutes later someone, I assumed was a supervisor or manger but not sure, came up to me and said " so FRIEND I hear you did not like the orange juice ." He went on to explain that there are no fresh squeezed orange juice anywhere around here as it would be to cost prohibitive to squeeze fresh oranges . Here ( The Frog Pond ) we use the least processed pasteurized orange juice . This is me just summarizing the guy's pretty long explanation / excuse . I thought about pointing out the menu and showing him where it shows the option for orange juice and fresh squeezed orange juice but thought about it and it would be pointless . Fun little restaurant along the main stretch of St Pete Beach. It is a brunch/lunch/breakfast place so it closes early. Coffee was piping hot and food was delicious. I ordered the club and it was just as what I would envision it to be - ham, turkey, bacon, and cheese. It was toasted well and the portions were large. The cole slaw was a bit too wet for me. Fastidious and fruity The service was top notch. My coffee never hit bottom. The waiter was super nice, polite and helpful. He messed up my mother in-laws order and brought the correct one apologetically but with huge smiles. And the fruit! If you want a side of fruit with your meal instead of the potatoes (but I don't know why bc those were soooo good), they literally bring you half a garden. It's obscene. Stumbled into this small chain. Holy cow. So much food. So many fresh vegetables. Very very satisfying breakfast.

5 stars because this is a breakfast stop that puts food at a priority. Nothing fancy here just breakfast done well. Pancakes are crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Plus they are giant. Bacon is thick and crunchy. Eggs cooked to order. It goes on and on. Menu has a bunch of items. They can make almost anything. Coffee is always filled. They have someone in charge of filling your coffee or water. Good local Long Time local place. If you're on the beach and want to Fill up early come to The Frog Pond. Never will disappoint. However it took forever to get our meal as they were busy but it took way to long for breakfast food. The service is old and dirty inside and they were vacuuming the floor frequently which doesn't exactly add to a nice relaxing breakfast. There was also kids running around making a lot of noise. Food: the food was also a big miss. The Benedict's I tried didn't do much for me and was probably the worst Benedict's I tried over the weekend. The sausage gravy and biscuits was also a big miss. This is not a fancy place by any means. It was rated pretty good by yelp so I thought why not try it. It doesn't have an impressive exterior. I used Waze to find it and even then it doesn't jump out at you. I tend to think it's more local folks rather than tourists. Let me tell you when I opened the door and went in I knew this was the place for me. Just about every table was occupied. My wife had a quiche and said it was remarkably delicious. It came with a side of fruit. Usually that consists of a slice of orange a couple grapes and maybe half a strawberry , but this came with with 2 full slices of different melons a large portion of grapes and a bit of pineapple and a slice of orange, as well as a large portion of home fries and toast. Now for me, I'm always looking for a bargain and I saw a special. For less than $11.50 I got coffee and orange juice, two eggs and a large slice of ham home fries and toast. I couldn't eat more than I received. The service was great and I will be going there anytime I am in the area. read more

A-MAZING FOOD...excellent service...this place really cares...and the people and food reflect it. Get there early on a weekend...it fills up quickly. The service is swift, gracious and efficient. You can choose in or outdoor seating. You dont feel rushed and the food is worth a wait...it comes out freshly prepared and delicious. Waiters, host and manager check in during your meal, to make sure their food and service meet your expectations. The biscuit was crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle, perfect. The home fries were amazing. The gravy had an odd taste to it, I was not a fan. The Georgia waffle, peaches and pecans! Good grief this was probably one of the best waffles I've had. Overall, the customer service here is unmatched. The menu leaves you questioning some items since there are plenty of things without a description. It's a little tight dining inside and can get loud. Was looking for a nice brunch spot near my condo and found this place, so glad I came! It was Sunday around 11am but still only waited about 5 mins for a table, was very busy in there but the wait staff seemed very attentive and were moving tables in good speed. I really need to acknowledge Brian idk if he's an owner or manager or what but he gives FIVE STAR service. My son was very irritated from being hungry and has sensitivity to loud crowds of ppl so he was very uncomfortable when we arrived. But Brian brought out a cup of grapes for him while we waited on a table- it's the small things like that that brings a huge smile to my face. It took a very long time to get our food but trust when I say it was worth it! I wanted to try the cinnamon swirl French toast with my steak n eggs but they cannot just give one, u must get full order so that'll be something I'll need to get in future. The portion sizes were huge!! My son and I barely put a dent in it. The only thing I found very odd was that we were the ONLY table who's drinks were served in styrofoam cups. Everyone else had small pitchers and glasses... But it worked out at end bc we took them to go. They have homemade jam and I think they home make their english muffins too! I would highly recommend that you go early. Their sign says 8am but there were people eating before then.
