Absolutely delicious sushi. Easily my favorite spot without question. Highly recommend ordering the Lil Zazi and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice!

The Frying Pan! Dixon, how I have missed you these past two years!! I am so happy to be back working back in town! I get to enjoy all my favorite Dixon eateries again! Now back to regular programming! Haha What can I say, this place won my heart the minute I took my first bite of their deep fried spicy tuna jalapeño poppers! The spice from the jalapeño, hot cream cheese and spicy tuna!! Oh my goodness, chef's kiss!! I have had endless dinner dates here, and the service has always been wonderful! The food is really good, all I can speak for is the sushi and appetizers. I haven't been to Dixon in awhile, but it seems like they have a lot more dishes! I usually order online, and pick up after work! Food is piping hot and fresh! Nestled in Dixon downtown, it's just a nice, relaxing atmosphere and if you been to Dixon, you already know! Lots of parking on the streets, no parking garages! But you will find a spot! Please visit this little gem when in Dixon!

Literally THEE best sushi restaurant in Solano County, hands down. I've been going to this family owned business since high school. The owner really knows his craft and you can just taste it. The service is always top notch and I love the interior. My go to order is the Omega 3 (one of the best items but no longer on the menu as no one ordered it), baked mussels, and Treble Forte! I've had everything on the menu but these are my absolute favs. If you love fresh, tasty, and mind blowing sushi.. you'd be foolish to not give them a try if you're in the area.

So generous and delicious! The rolls were huge, I've never seen anything like it. I was amazed by the generous portions, surprised again by the rich flavors, and truly impressed by the kind and attentive service. There was so much food that I ended up taking the leftovers home and they easily covered dinner, too. I just have to say, this place is the best! Highly recommend!

Excellent sushi. Cannot recommend highly enough. They have countless menu options, and everything I tasted was great. The edamame were good, and the Crazy Monkey roll that I had was delicious. Presentation was top notch too. Not super expensive, especially for quality sushi. We went on a Tuesday for lunch, and it was pretty quiet. Not sure if it gets busy at other times. Looking forward to returning soon.

Food is 5 star!!!! Service is impeccable!!! Friendly, knowledgeable, absolutely amenable service by Elisa!!! My friend asked if she could ask the server to recommend and give highlights on the dishes she was serving, and she didn't hesitate to inform us and describe everything being served!!! Excellent, excellent, EXCLUSIVELY EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! Ambiance was so cute! We sat in the middle section with all these cool, quirky writings on the wall, which really stood out as individual and creative! This place has a homey, welcoming vibe you just can't find anywhere else!!! Highly recommend!!!! Thank you Elisa for exceptional service!!!!

    Super thin slice of hamachi

The shrimp tempura was the highlight. Lightly battered shrimp fried to a crisp. I also appreciated the side salad. I ordered a bento box with tempura and hamachi nigiri. The presentation was totally unappealing. While the tempura was good, the gyoza seemed store bought and frozen. The hamachi was sliced super thin (any thinner and you could see through it), additionally it was warm. Yuck! We also ordered the rainbow roll, but it never came. Sorta glad that the server failed to put it in, given the state of the hamachi nigiri. My companion ordered the salmon teriyaki which was incredibly dry. Salmon with all its oil is a forgiving fish --- hard to mess up. But they managed to do that. Lastly, I purchased Sapporo, poured it in glass that I later realized had a chip. We won't be coming back.

Absolutely delicious!!! My husband took me on a date...this restaurant was highly recommended by his coworker and he was so right! To date this is my FAVORITE sushi restaurant...and we eat a lot of sushi! The server was new and did her best! Wasn't busy so it worked out! We cannot wait to go back and take our daughter that could eat sushi on the daily!

Food was okay. Place was a bit odd. Not sure how recently they took it over from the last place. I remember half of the space being a Mexican restaurant a while ago. The building itself smelled terrible... like a cow barn. That's unfortunate and there's probably nothing the restaurant can do about it. I ordered the Ichiban roll. It was okay. Sushi rice was mushy and overcooked, but the tobiko has enough pop to provide a bit of contrasting texture to save it. Hubby ordered the bulgolgi bowl; it was horribly bland. No sauce??? Weird. It needs something--a bibimbap sauce, katsu sauce, something. That was a huge miss. I appreciated the large menu for kids bentos. I especially loved that they did more than the typical meat and rice combo. There was an inclusion of edamame which finally provided a healthy veggie side for a kids meal with was awesome. Service and servers were nice. Food was a little too expensive for the quality for me though.

Just moved to Dixon and this is THE sushi spot we have been going to. Four out of Five stars because of the smell the restaurant has is kind of like hibachi and lingers on your clothes. Also, there are no refills for sodas because they only serve soda cans. Pepper Fin is amazing and flavorful - just don't get it if you don't like fishy tastes. Samurai roll was also yummy, especially with the garlic mayo. Bento box has chicken Katsu and shrimp tempura. Both were tender and crispy! The salad and miso comes with it and they were both hella good too! Husband had the crazy cat lady and he enjoyed it as well. Great customer service!!

I have eaten here twice now and it's hands down the BEST sushi in town/solano county in my opinion. Everything is fresh and deliciously put together. If you have not yet eaten here you should definitely add it to the list!

I drive literally 30 miles to get this sushi. There are approximately 9-10 places where I can get sushi near me and they don't even compare. It may be a mom and pop place but I enjoy that even more. It is downtown Dixon so the place has some history. The staff is great, the sushi is fresh and tastes awesome, and great prices for the quantity. I have brought many people there that agree. We love Tom, Cielo, Grace and the rest of the staff!

The Frying Pan never disappoints. This time we got a lot of appetizers and they were absolutely killer! The Jalapeño Poppers were just the right amount of spicy with sauces that brought out the flavor. The potstickers were nice and crisp, and softened up with soy sauce. The rolls are always delicious, packed with a lot of flavor and never that bad fishy smell or taste. Amazing work as always! Inside is very well laid out and a little darker creating a nice comfortable atmosphere. The staff are always amazing and make sure to check on you to make sure everything is perfect. 11/10 if I could!

It's honestly the first place that comes to mind when I think about sushi, no question. And just to put it in perspective, I literally drive here all the way from Sacramento. And they look just as perfect in real life as they do in pictures. Another 10/10. The only small thing I'd maybe suggest is working a little bit on the interior. The lot wasn't that big and we had to park a little ways away but got some shade for the car which was great. It was almost 3PM so I was surprised that this place was open. It's a nice size place with sushi bar to the left and a small dinning area and a bigger one to the rights. We were welcomed and seated in the middle dinning area. There were only one other couple in this section. When I go to a new sushi place I always get the Chirashi Sushi so I can see how the fresh sushi is and I like that selection. It was a lot, almost 44 bucks which is expensive for that dish. Plus I wasn't really that hungry. I didn't know when I would be back in the area so I just went for it. The wife decided on a Bento box with two items. the Tonkatsu and the Agedashi tofu. This place has one of those delivery robots from Japan and it was neat to see it bring the food to people. Here you don't grab it yourself like other places. The server grabs it and puts it on your table in front of you. It has a melody playing the entire time to let you know it's coming out. When my Chirashi came out , it looked amazing. It sure was extra and thus the price. It was 16 pieces of sushi and 2 pieces Tamago or egg. The Amaebi or raw shrimp came with a fried shrimp head on top and then the shrimp on the bottom. Really excellent presentation. They really thought about it. They even had the real Wasabi, which is the only one I eat. The little touches were appreciated. It was a lot of sushi Now my wife's Bento box was thoughtful too. It was a lot of food. It came with a fried pepper stuffed with crab. Something that I have never seem. It was spicy and the wife couldn't eat it. I was too stuffed with my food to taste it. In the corner of the box had pickled Vegis which don't often come in the box. Plus they had like a yam or sweet potato dip with I think Taro chips. Unique but the chips were stale. Still very thoughtful plating of a Bento box. If I am in town again I will definitely hit this place up again. I liked it a lot. The service was great too.

Honestly, there wasn't a single thing I didn't want to try. I usually judge a sushi spot by its dragon roll, and this one absolutely delivered. The tempura was warm and crispy, topped with fresh avocado and rich unagi. Best of all, the rolls were the perfect size, so you don't have to unhinge your jaw just to get one piece in your mouth. The Titanic Roll was just as impressive. It came loaded with tamago and finished with a generous layer of cream cheese that brought everything together. These rolls were a little more challenging to pick up, so if your chopstick skills are questionable, ask for a fork. We wrapped things up with the mango mochi ice cream. They offered to top it with whipped cream and chocolate syrup, and naturally I said yes. The mango flavor really shines without being overpowering, and the mochi had that perfect soft, chewy texture instead of the thick, gummy consistency that some places serve. From the quality of the food to the generous portions, this place knocked it out of the park. If you're in Vacaville and craving sushi or ramen, Yo Sushi & Ramen is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be back.
