    Vermont brie and basil

We were heading out of town after a long weekend and wanted a good local sandwich. Our first stop was at the deli that was 2 doors down...big mistake. Instead, we headed down the street to Garden Market. This place is awesome. Almost everything they carry is locally sourced. Part market, part deli, we opted to sit down for some sandwiches. Everything was made fresh to order and was well worth the short wait. Picked up some local brie and marmalade to go on the way out Only miss is the side entryway that is somewhat confusing and not labeled particularly well.

Iced coffee sipped and kindly served to me in the back seating area

Super friendly vibe and made to order treats. The cafe/shop has wine and gourmet treats. Lunch was AOK.

The sweetest souls work here and the animal feeding area/petting zoo is incredible! When you arrive at Taylor Farms, you step into the cute little country store stationed at the beginning of the farm. The store is stocked with farm products like yummy cheeses and icecreams but also food and home products from local businesses like soaps, etc. My daughter picked out a scoop of her favorite VT icecream, maple walnut and wandered the store. I stumbled upon the "feed our animals" station near the store exit. You can buy the farm animals food and feed them yourself! The store associate welcomed us to go see the animals even if we didn't buy any food for them. You could tell she really loved them. We bought a variety pack for the animals which consisted of carrots, an apple, a bag of homemade cheeseits, and chicken feed (corn meal?). My daughter had a ball feeding the donkey, cows, chickens and cat! We had a ball watching her experience new things and support a local farm! We hope to come back someday soon!

My tongue can still remember the distinct nutty and buttery taste of this luscious cheese. Trying to order this great cheese again (seriously one of the best cheeses I have ever eaten in my life and I have tried a variety of different cheeses), I find an error page on the ordering page for timberdoodle. I then attempt to see if I can order directly from Woodcock Farm, but their website is unfortunately down. An AI search result reveals that Woodcock Farm has not shut down but the owners are looking for someone to take over the business. Fingers crossed that the Fischers find someone to take over their operation. It would be a terrible shame for the world to lose such an amazing cheese (among the other amazing cheeses they produce too). Sometimes only poetry can get to the essence of our feelings . . . We visited Woodcock Farm at the recommendation of the Taylor family (of Taylor Family Farm). Here, sheep's milk cheese is the name of the game. We tried a sheep's milk, mixed cow and sheep's milk, blue, and two soft cheeses in the no-fills tasting area. My husband loved them all while I only liked the sheep's milk (never a fan of blues or soft cheeses from anywhere). Little hard to find but great cheese and friendly people making the cheese they themselves love to eat.

The bread and veggies were fresh, the ham was tasty but I was disappointed with the size for the price. There was very little ham and it came with nothing.....for $9.99. The fudge was great, we all got some and the cheese selection was good and the souvenirs were very nice.
