They were very helpful finding exactly what I wanted. Prices were in line with what I expected, but quality was much better. I'll be back!

I'm a total novice gardener and very appreciative of the knowledge and recommendations they share. The overall service is great, especially when buying soil or compost--you purchase that at checkout and they'll bring it right out to your car in their parking lot. Their variety of plants is wonderful; I could spend hours wandering through the different sections. As a newbie gardener, I had a little bit of sticker shock on some items, but I feel confident paying what might be a little more than at big box stores for the quality of plants/supplies and service.

They had a top tier selection of annuals, perennials, bushes, trees, gardening supplies, and anything you could possibly need for landscaping. We were looking at a tree we really liked, and an employee immediately came over and gave us some great tips about that particular plant. He gave some other useful recommendations as well. We ended up getting a variety of annuals for some of our flower pots and two big bags of soil. When we checked out at the counter, they asked what car we drove and explained that an employee will meet us in the parking lot to load up the heavy bags of soil for us. I will definitely be back!

They cut me an incredible deal on the rocks. I ended up paying about 1/3 of what I was expecting to pay. The workers were super nice. They were inside having a great time telling jokes, and just loving their time at work. I do not know much about gardening, but the plant selection seemed to be pretty extensive. Incredibly grateful to the folks over at Colors of Spring for hooking me up and being such a good time. Great folks, great customer service.

I always drive by Colors of Spring and notice the beautiful plants outside (when they're open). We went together to pick them out, and loved the different varieties that they offered. We parked on Fyler for street parking, and walked in the back. Lots of different areas to look and choose from. I'm the furthest from a plant pro, so I wouldn't be able to tell you exactly what I saw. However; they looked well taken care of and of good quality. There were also a large variety on the outside of the front of the shop on Watson. We found a couple we liked to check out and the staff member working explained to my mom how to properly take care of her choices- water amount, sunlight amount. It was a quick and easy experience, I would definitely go back to find more in the future!

Always helpful and the owner is really nice. I went in today to buy pansies. They have a nice selection. Granted the weather hasn't been great for spring gardening but that's ST. LOUIS. The prettiest noise was going around the outside of the nursery. It was the prettiest glass wind chimes. I had to go inside and pay. I told the girl that this was a good day to sell chimes because it was so windy and they sounded so beautiful. No response, just stared at me. I mentioned that I would like to get them for a birthday present. No response, just stared at me. There was absolutely no one there. I would be grateful to get a sale, have someone to talk to. Get some freaking personality!! I would do a better job than that. I tried to ask her a question about pansy dollars and you would have thought I asked what sized bra she was wearing!!! Pffft!! I may NEVER go there again and I spend a good amount of money there I can go to Wiethop (while they're open), Rolling Ridge, lots of choices out there...please have people who can converse with customers. It doesn't take they much effort and it is REALLY important for your business. Sincerely, disgusted customer

We stopped raking 2 years ago, and that made a huge difference: we have oodles of fireflies and butterflies, way more than our neighbors who do the whole well-manicured lawn thing. Anyway, we talked to a person at the prairie booth at the Earth Day festival about native plants, and the website pointed us to Sugar Creek! We were very pleasantly surprised at the amount of options here. We were able to find all sorts of native plants to introduce into our yard. We really found it easy to navigate since they were sectioned into native and sun needs. It made it very easy once we figured it out. We were only able to afford about 6 plants the first time we came here and 4 the next time. They are a bit pricey, just fair warning. However, the selection is great and it's supporting a business that isn't a huge corporation, so it's worth a visit!

They are "busy" just living their best lives (getting their best rest). I had a hard time deciding what I needed so I impulsively shopped for pottery. They have nice shallow pots that are hard to find, which work perfectly for succulents and cacti with shallow roots. I didn't even go out back, upstairs or downstairs. The place keeps going and going! If you get easily overwhelmed when presented with endless choices, you might make a list of what you are looking for before you go in. I knew what plants I need to repot and kept them in mind when I had to make hard decisions. I'd stop in anytime, because looking around this place is just fun.
