As a proud Jewish woman, I asked if they carried any Israeli designers -- a simple, polite question. The sales associate could have easily just said, "No, we don't carry any." Instead, she chose to make a point by telling me that they are boycotting Israeli brands. When I replied, "Well, I don't need to shop here then," she smirked and said, "Probably not." That wasn't professionalism -- it was hostility. She knew exactly why I was asking, and rather than respond respectfully, she went out of her way to inject her political bias and make me feel unwelcome. I fully understand that people have different viewpoints about this difficult time and the conflict in the Middle East -- but there is absolutely no excuse for taking it out on customers or for treating anyone this way. What I experienced today was unacceptable, offensive, and frankly disgusting. Let's call it what it is -- antisemitism. Singling out Israeli designers and speaking to a Jewish customer with such contempt is discrimination, plain and simple. There is no place for that kind of behavior in any business, especially one meant to celebrate love and joy. I left feeling hurt, angry, and deeply disheartened. Idina Bridal should be ashamed of how their staff behaves. If you believe in kindness, respect, and standing up against antisemitism, do not support this store. Seattle has many wonderful bridal boutiques that know how to treat people with decency -- Idina Bridal is not one of them.

The associate (Selena) was very helpful and was mainly in charge of my appointment, but the other woman working with her (I think it was owner, Nadine) was very pushy and kept interjecting into our appointment. Should be noted that this review is solely based on how Nadine treated me, not Selena. A few things Nadine did really made my experience a very negative one: 1. Although my appointment was in March and I did NOT want a custom gown, Nadine immediately told me my wedding in December timeline was "tight" and "probably not possible" before I even tried my first dress on. It should be noted that when you make an appointment, you fill out when your wedding is. If my timeline did not suit the business' timeline, then I would have appreciated a call witht he concern prior to the appointment. I believe this was really an attempt at creating a false sense of urgency. 2. Nadine kept popping in and out of my dressing room even though she was helping another bride during the same time, suggesting dresses I had absolutely no interest in trying on. She kept pushing a style that I corrected her multiple times saying I did not like. She continuously pushed the style of dress (poofy ball gown - she was insisiting every for fitting dress I tried on should have an ugly tool overlay over it) and veil (a cheap pearl veil that looked like it was from the dollar store). Poor Selena would put me in a style I liked only to have me stand on the floor and have her come over immediately with these items after I repeatively said no. 3. There was one dress that Selena was having issues zipping and I think Nadine hear us chatting about it, burst into the dressing room (while I was half dressed) and said "that dress will NEVER fit her. You'll need at least two sizes bigger and we definitely dont have that". Extremely rude and beyond inappropriate. The last few points are not completely related to Nadine, but I recieved multiple calls the day of saying that they would not have the proper staffing and wanted to move my appointment, even tho I made my appointment 3 weeks in advance. I was open to being flexible at the time and they did eventually end up accomodating my original appointment, but since I have now shopped around I realize this is a completely unprofessional request. The store in UVillage is also dated and not very well kept, although they do have beautiful dresses. It was also a little unnerving showing up to my appointment early only to have to wait because there was a group of teenagers prom appointment running over. While Selena was very nice and we definitely vibed, Nadia made me so uncomfortable that I cancelled my follow up appointment and was afriad to go back. I ultimately decided I do not want to give this store any of my business based on how I was treated. I was not going to leave any reviews because I did really appreciate Selena, but I got an email this morning asking me to write a review (addressed to "Hi %NAME%," - how personal!) so here we are! TLDR: I'm sure they have some beatiful dresses, but unless you have the exact same taste as the owner and are a body size she deems respectable, just go somewhere else. $35 is not worth you mental health and friday afternoon.

SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT! KITA IS THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS! I…read moremet Kita at a wedding event with a bunch of other vendors and Kita stood out to me. I was pregnant at the time so I patiently waited a few months to schedule my appointment for a bridal gown. I went to two other bridal boutiques and Kita Bridal topped them both. The other two places have really good reviews and are well established so I figured they were the best of the best and I must go. Kita however was still on my mind so I decided to make an appointment and boy am I sure glad I did. Kita just has it, there's something so special about her and her boutique. She made me and my girls feel so comfortable and welcomed. I walked in to country music playing because she asked my girls my favorite type of music. She had hot tea and water, a kiosk where you can pull up dresses, your style, your venue, anything. We literally walked outside after our appointment and all said we love her! She doesn't hover over you or make you feel pressured into buying something. She says I'm here as much as you need me so you say the word and she'll be right there to assist you. One really cool thing is she takes the time to sanitize the dresses between each appointment. Kita hands down topped the other two places I went. Like I said she just has the magic touch! I will recommend her over and over. Side note, she's also an event planner! I booked my wedding planner but if I hadn't already, Kita would definitely have been my choice. You can tell she knows her stuff which I think helps even more when helping you find your dream gown. So how much do I love this place? I'm buying two dresses. One for my ceremony and one for my reception. Did I mention you can completely customize any dress in her boutique?! Don't want a long train? No problem. Don't like the straps? No worries. Yes, it gets better and better, that's why I'm buying two dresses because I'm able to turn one into a cute reception style dress. Look no further and schedule an appointment. Kita will take good care of you and your group.

I appreciate that Bride To Be Bridal was willing to accommodate me with a last-minute appointment,…read moreand I was grateful they were able to see me on such short notice. Unfortunately, my experience after that was disappointing. As a first-time bride, I relied heavily on the expertise and guidance of the consultant. I didn't feel like I received much help finding the right dress for my body type, measurements, or concerns. In fact, my friend was the one who ultimately found the dress I purchased. Throughout the appointment, I felt somewhat dismissed and unwelcome. The interaction was not particularly warm or helpful, and I left feeling like I was being viewed as someone who wasn't serious about making a purchase, despite being prepared to spend thousands of dollars on my wedding dress. I also felt pressured during the process. I was not allowed to take photos in the dress to review later or get a better sense of how it looked unless I purchased it first. As someone making a $2,500 purchase, that felt unreasonable and made me feel like the focus was more on making a sale than helping me make the right decision. The biggest issue came afterward when I took the dress to alterations. I was informed that the cup size was significantly too small for my chest and that there was very little that could be done to properly correct it. Had I been advised of this before purchasing, I likely would have continued shopping for a dress that better suited my proportions. I'm not a wedding dress expert, which is exactly why I went to a bridal boutique. I was hoping for guidance and honest feedback, especially on such an important purchase. Instead, I feel like I spent $2,500 on a dress that doesn't properly fit my body, and I'm left feeling disappointed that such a major fit issue was never discussed before the sale was finalized.

My experience here was pretty lacking…read more I had gone wedding dress shopping a couple times before this appointment, but didn't find anything that I liked enough to pick. I spent more time driving to this appointment than I did in the actual store. When I arrived there was no discussion of budget even though the initial booking form asked for it. This was my third time shopping for a dress and the consultant looked surprised and commented that that was a lot. It's fine to have that opinion but the way she expressed it came across as judgmental. If I'm going to be spending this much money on a dress for my wedding, I think I'm entitled to take the time to find one that I truly love. I showed stock images of dresses I liked and she asked me if I had any photos of dresses on me. I thought this was strange as I obviously hadn't found one that I liked enough which is why I was showing inspiration photos of what I wanted to see. Of the four dresses they showed me, the one I liked best ended up being over my budget when I asked. After the fourth dress, the consultant left to sit at the front desk without offering any guidance on next steps. I had to prompt her and ask about ordering, timelines, and potential alterations. By that point, I felt so unwelcome and neglected that I decided to leave, despite seeing other dresses on the racks I was interested in. Even if I had found a dress, I didn't want to deal with the unfriendly consultant throughout the process or give them my business. This place might be better suited for someone with a clear idea of exactly what they want, rather than someone looking to explore. I was in and out in 20 minutes, despite the appointment being scheduled for 75 minutes. It was a waste of my time and gas.

I've waited to write a review because she's not worth any more of my time, but for the sake of future brides and maids, I'm writing this. I ordered my dress from her back in February. After having not received confirmation about the order being processed (my card was not yet charged), I contacted her to see if there was any problem. She said they ordered the wrong address I needed to order it again. She also said she would let me know when that was done. She did not. She finally told me the dress would be ready in the May. May starts rolling around in the dress is not here. And she's avoiding all communication as much as possible, for some reason she only likes to communicate by text. My only way to get in contact with her has been to physically go into the shop just to find her with her feet on the front desk playing phone games. I finally just told her to tell me the truth about whether she actually ordered the dress or not so that I could have time to order another dress by the time the wedding came. She urged me that she had ordered the dress in that the distributor was still sending it. July rolls around and the dress is still not here. The week before the wedding my bride had to order a new dress which did not match with the other dresses. If for some reason she did not want to order the dress, I understand, but to not communicate that and to continue to lie for several months is absolutely not acceptable. I have no idea how she is still in business. Her organization is nonexistent and communication is the most terrible I've ever seen in any business owner. I wish I had checked her yelp reviews before ordering from her. For the sake of your piece of mind and sanity, DO NOT order your dress from her.

It fit okay for alterations, but I realized the alterations were done pretty poorly. It was not expertly done. Boning poked out and bent in the wrong places. As soon as I sit down one time, my dress was messed up. And getting in touch with Renee was a huge challenge. She seemed to respond more when my mom texted her but often would not respond to me. Even though I was the one paying for everything. Or she would forget we had an appointment all together. Overall I spent waaaay more than expecting for all of the alterations. And with the "all sales final" on dresses, you're pretty stuck after you say yes to a dress. I wish I would have kept looking for a dress more within my original vision. However, she offered discounts if you bought the dress during the same visit you tried it on. Which makes you rush when maybe you should be more patient. My advice, if you do find a dress you like, buy it and get the hell out. Take it to another person to alter. Obviously if you make it in to this shop you'll realize it's not the typical bridal experience, but definitely don't expect a high level of professionalism. I'm just sad thinking about it how I hated my wedding dress on my wedding day. It's the day you should feel like to be never been more beautiful. This was not how I felt. Far from it.
