As far as pricing the people they buy from suggest what they charge and they can only give deal on what they get deal on. Also the City of Somerville charges them the maximum Tax the state allows in order to sell Liquor in Somerville. Memphis charges 5 percent Somerville charges 8 percent NO I'm not the owner which is what you are thinking. But I was the first owner. So I do know what I am talking about. sorry to burst your bubble. It is hard to satisfy ever one but I know both local Stores will do what they can to keep the Tax money in Fayette Co. I found ice for $1.99 for a 7 lb bag which was much more reasonable than Kroger. There were 2 employees in the store and both were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I was the only customer in the store so one even went into the cooler, grabbed the case I needed and carried it to the cash register for me. The cashier was extremely nice, and we carried on a great conversation for a few minutes. I did not find the price of the beer to be that much over the cost that I would have paid at Kroger and I got to support a local business. I am not in the habit of buying liquor, but I would not hesitate to go to this business again if needed.
