Service is awful. Food not much better. Forget happy hour as we are not happy. Order wrong. Long wait for water. Go someplace else

Food sucks and over priced. Staff is nice though. Cream of broccoli soup is the worst. Tastes like puke. Salads are wet.

Since it was my first visit, the bartender walked us through the menu and shared some great recommendations. They even let us sample the frozen drinks before we ordered. We got the matchamacallit, makahiki mua, frozen ube, and frozen dole whip. Every drink was creative and delicious. This is the perfect spot for a laid-back night out. It's casual and relaxed, but with a lively atmosphere (there's a DJ) and excellent tiki cocktails.

The frozen drinks are dangerously good since you cannot taste the alcohol at all. The decorations are great and I absolutely love the art. It even features my favorite Hawaiian artist, Nick Kuchar! The space has a great layout. There are two large high top booths in the back that are perfect for groups of 8 to 10 people. The bathroom I used was gender neutral, and there is a convenient parking lot right in front. They do not serve food here, so some folks bring their own. We will definitely bring a meal with us next time! To top it all off, the service was very friendly. They were so patient explaining the whole menu to our large group.

False Advertising and Total Failure of a "Speakeasy"…read more This place should not call itself a speakeasy. According to their website, they are strict about dress code, reservations, and no large parties. None of that was enforced. People arrived wearing sports clothes, tennis shoes, and flip-flops, and a group of more than 10 people was allowed in. That group was loud, drunk, and screaming, completely destroying any speakeasy ambiance. We had a reservation booked one week in advance for 2 tables of six, yet by 8:30 pm, we were told no food was available, despite the bar being almost empty. The water was already on the table when we arrived and tasted strongly of chlorine, with no ice. The waitress was clearly new, untrained, and unprepared. She did not know the menu, didn't know how to take an order properly, and provided no guidance whatsoever. There was one bartender Ricardo, who took over an hour to prepare cocktails and showed no sense of urgency or care. The dramatic cocktail descriptions sounded impressive, but the drinks did not match the descriptions at all. Because of the delays, we were never even able to properly toast or celebrate our friend. The charcuterie board took forever and arrived with an absurd amount of cheese and only six pieces of bread. To make things worse, part of the food we ordered never arrived at all. The live jazz band advertised and promised never showed up. When asked, the staff responded with: "I don't know, they were supposed to be here. I don't have their phone number." That level of disorganization is unacceptable. At the end of the night, we were shocked to receive a check close to $600 for two tables, despite each person only having one cocktail and shared food. The bartender, Ricardo, approached us and said: "Well, sorry, we really tried tonight! It wasn't the best, but we tried." Honestly, that comment made the experience even more frustrating. I can't imagine how bad it would have been if they hadn't "tried."That statement perfectly summarizes the problem -- trying is not enough when everything fails. I would not recommend this place for a speakeasy experience. This is not a speakeasy. It's a poorly run bar hiding behind a concept it does not deliver. Do not recommend.

From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were at home with family. Uncle Darrow greets everyone like you belong there, he remembers you, makes you feel seen, and creates such a warm, welcoming atmosphere that you instantly relax. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Every bite was full of flavor and clearly made with love. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant if you want great food and an experience that feels like community. The soft shell crab was crispy, flavorful, and packed into fresh bread that held everything together without getting soggy. Messy in the best way and exactly what you hope for when you order one. The red beans and rice were comforting and well seasoned, a perfect side to go. The place has a laid back, welcoming feel, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The owner was super friendly and very hospitable. Definitely living up to the southern hospitality. Food came out hot and fresh. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm craving New Orleans style comfort food.

If the feeling of "I don't want to be here" could be personified, it would look like Angel. Angel was turned around, I said hello and he turned around but didn't make eye contact but he had a mean scowl on his face. Angel said it'd be five minutes for us to be seated. I said cool. Angel walked away. A few other people pull up after we arrived and out of nowhere, another server by the name of Abram comes by and looks at the waiting list. Abram walks over to one of the couples that arrived after us and asks what name they had listed on the waiting list and then walks them over to sit them. A few moments later, Angel returns and tells Abram that we'd arrived first but Abram shrugged and then they started whispering amongst themselves. We continued to wait for about ten minutes while Abram just stands around being completely useless. Abram never said a single word to us. Not an apology for the delay. Not a single acknowledgement. Abram kept looking up at the ceiling, perhaps praying to a deity that we disappear and leave. We opted to make Abram's prayer come true by leaving. Based on the tacky signage posted, it's easy to see why this has such a low rating. Avoid.
