It's a fun atmosphere and something different in Frisco. We have previously dined at their sister restaurant up the tollway and knew the menu was nearly identical. The other spot does it better for food and drink quality. We had cocktails, 1 appetizer, and 2 entrees. No sides and they were out of desserts. Our check was $240, $300 with tip. For that, my drink shouldn't have been mostly filled with the whipped cream they called foam. (I couldn't drink it and the waitress removed it from the table, but I was still charged.) read more

If you enjoy an Instagramable location for dinner, look no further! The restaurant has many picture taking spots from the Ariel swing at the door with a floral backdrop drop to the Aerialist performing above you while dining to the beautiful glass wine rack walls. A friend and I dined in on a Saturday evening. We made reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. Started with an appetizer and drinks. The drink menu is very extensive with lot of mixed drinks, wines, and any other liquor that you might be interested in. The calamari was good. For dinner I had the mahi-mahi risotto which was ok. The fish was a bit overcooked and the risotto didn't have much flavor. As the night went on there was a DJ playing. The music gets a bit louder and at times made it difficult to talk. We also noticed that when drinks were ordered, there was an automatic "late night gratuity" added to the bill. Overall: the service was great, the food was ok, and the drinks overpriced. This place is great! Came for their new brunch on Saturday at 1:30 and it wasn't too busy (it ends at 3pm) and while the the DJ was bumpin jams, it was fine for our 5 month old. The food and service was amazing! Our waitress Bella was very attentive and helpful. We got something sweet (Berry French toast) and something savory (Shortrib Skillet). My husband and I went The Glen on Friday night. The food was simply amazing, the atmosphere was enchanting but the service was MAGNIFICENT!! Our waitress was a pleasantly delightful young lady named Vivica! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and suggested an awesome drink for me that has now become my Favorite called "Jealousy" (gin and cucumber base, so delicious!!). She also suggested the BEST appetizers (wagu bites and lobster jar).... I can't even begin to describe the deliciousness!! Followed by-- short ribs!! The Glen has been on my hit list for a while! I was able to visit there for a girl's night the other night. If you're looking to quickly get a seat I'd highly recommend visiting this place during the work week. We went on a Thursday and were able to get a cozy booth spot. I stll think they prefer reservations so check them out on OpenTable or book directly online. Valet is perfect and they text you with your info so you have your valet number in your phone instead of a ticket. Lots of delicious options on the menu, so whether you enjoy appetizers and drinks or a full blown meal you'll find something up your alley. I was impressed with the ambience and the beautiful bottles of vino on the walls. The bar itself is massive and the bartenders are rocking their creatively made cocktails. I was in a vino mood so we split a bottle for the table then ordered apps. My friend is a die hard corn dog fan so she ordered the Millionaire Corn Dog. It had gold flakes as well as CAVIAR. On the corny dog! Interesting for sure. Not my vibe but surely interesting. Someone at another table got cotton candy which looked cool to share for dessert. We also ended up ordering lobster mac and cheese. Yummy for sharing or even as a stand alone meal. It had HUGE chunks of lobster inside and lots of cheese. We could not even finish that one even though we shared it! It was so much food. They have tons of events on weekends and in the evenings so again, making a reservation is your best bet. 10/10 experience! This was one of the dinners I went to while in Dallas and I was extremely satisfied with the food, service and the overall atmosphere. There were aerial dancers the night we went and she came right next to us and it was extremely entertaining!! Also after a certain time it somewhat turned into like a club and people were dancing so that was super nice. Food was amazing and service was even better! You don't come here for the food. It won't wow you except for the unwarranted high pricing. I suppose you come here for the entertainment which doesn't start until 8pm I think. So unless the entertainment is absolutely, awe inspiring amazing, I don't know how they can justify the prices. Kudos to our waitress who was exceptional at her job. Yes start with the ambiance it definitely has several photo opportunities in this place which was great. I would suggest making an online reservation. They do some times give out A complementary glass of wine upon entry but it's not really mentioned. Was quickly seated as well as the servers were very attentive when it came down to refilling cups and taking unwanted plates. They do have a Dj in which pairs well with the performer. The DJ played some great music and mixed really well. I did have the cow girl as a drink sun lime juice with pineapple juice and let's just say the bar tender did not disappoint it was a one and done for me lol. They did have a drink called YOLO it was very bitter with cheap wine maybe the kind they use for mimosas wasn't sweet at all. So ordered another drink which was way better! Outside of that the food was pretty good what I would say the food options don't really come with a side outside of potatoes and fruit so you will have to order anything else À la cart(individually). read more

For example, Spicy Rigatoni with vodka sauce should not be $29. Corn dogs for $21. Menu says CAVIAR & they give you ROE! Ridiculous & misleading. I ordered a Jimmy collins, it was light & refreshing. But these menu items are overly priced. The ambiance is what gets people in but the food is subpar & definitely not work the price. I am very upset with this restaurant. We ate at the monarch stagg a few weeks ago due to the glen being booked and no availability. After we finished at the monarch we walked into the Glen to make our reservation for 2 weeks later (which was this last Friday), I specifically asked to reserve one of the booth areas along the back to the right of the bar. The host acknowledged and said yes that was possible and said she had my reservation down for one of the booths. It was made for 4 people. Well fast forward to Wednesday, we ended up having 2 friends surprise us, I knew those booths fit up to 6 people as I saw 6 people sitting in them when I had walked in and made my reservation, but I wanted to do the right thing and call the restaurant to give them a heads up that we'd have 2 additional people. I called over 10 times on Wednesday, left a voicemail, and my friend also tried calling - all during business hours and no one would pick up the phone, I also sent a message through the reservation system. Thursday came along, I received a text to confirm my reservation, I did not respond, around 5 pm the restaurant called me to confirm my reservation, so not even returning my voicemail but just trying to confirm. I advised the host that we would have 2 additional people but it shouldn't be an issue because I specifically reserved one of the booths and I know those fit up to 6, she then told me that we were moved from having a booth and we would be at a table that seats 4. I told her that I was not ok with that and explained to her I specifically asked for one of the booths and was told that would not be a problem for us to reserve it. I ended up speaking to a manager by the name of Erica and she told me they could no longer seat us at a booth because of other reservations made and they moved us so they could seat another party of 6. She said they could seat us on the patio only if we had 6 people. I told her I was not happy with that and that they needed to make changes to honor my original reservation for a booth. We get to the restaurant on Friday and they sat us on the patio. Which was totally unacceptable as a 6 top half booth/table sat empty the entire 2.5 hours we were at the restaurant!!!!!! Our bill was nearly $200, our friends bill over $350, and another single friend was about $75. We will no longer come to this restaurant with the way they handled our reservation and unwilling to accommodate changes when they clearly were not as busy as they told me they were supposed to be. I used the chat feature on their website to let them know we're coming in to celebrate my wife's birthday - they made sure to seat us in the center round booth - it was perfect! Josh (Joshua) was our server and did an outstanding job - wasn't sure what was on the fire roasted seafood tower - he ran back to the kitchen, wrote everything down and explained it to us to a T. The restaurant has a great feel to it, you sink into the booth and just relax and do some great people watching! I started with a Sapphire Negroni - the dried fruit garnish was a nice touch. My wife really enjoyed the Living the High Life, gin & bubbles along with Earl Grey tea and the dried fruit garnish. Lobster pasta was filled with delicious lobster! The spicy tuna tartare was amazing. How else do you complete a fantastic birthday meal? How about a red velvet layered cake complete with a giant sparkler and the whole restaurant singing happy birthday!! Everything about this place is a 10/10. Highly recommended. Absolutely loved our experience! We had an amazing booth with a great view, an incredible server -Josh- and the food and drinks were delicious. I started with the "Living the High Life" gin drink and it was so tasty! The earl grey tea bag was unexpected but really added to the flavor. I got the lobster pasta and was so impressed with the homemade linguine and amount of lobster. Highly recommend. The red velvet cake was so good! This place is overrated. You will pay inflated prices for sub par food and even worse service. I had to refill my own water at least 4 times because the waiter hardly ever came back to table. When he did make an appearance he left dishes on table and never filled anyone's water. If you're going to charge upscale prices and present your restaurant as an "upscale" restaurant then you might consider providing decent service. I ordered the filet, which was cooked horribly. In fact, everyone in our party was disappointed with their meal. My friend ordered the beef short rib, which was so poorly cooked that it was uneditable. They took his off the bill. I would recommend any restaurant over The Glen. Steak and Ale would have been better. read more

We ordered ~ $800 worth of food & drinks that took forever to receive & was a complete waste. Why? 1. I ordered crab...$55. What I received ONE small-medium sized snow crab leg!!!! No...not a large Alaskan King Crab leg (they can easily weigh 3/4 - 1/2lb). This minuscule leg was pathetic! I alerted my server. He was visibly annoyed with my complaint. The manager ultimately took $20 off of the bill & said it was the owner's call. It was actually worth $5!! The owner should be ashamed of himself! 2. I ordered the $200 hot seafood tower for the table...oysters, crab, shrimp, lobster. Guess what we received? 75% or more oysters (cheapest item in the group)....of course!!! There was a sprinkle of the other items, and again ONE crab leg!!! Had the server take it back, he was clueless what the issue was, and annoyed. "The menu says oysters are included!" DUH! But I didn't expect for the tower to be disproportionately skewed. The rest of the food was mediocre....seafood pasta, Filet mignon, beef spare rib, etc. I am a foodie & I frequent a lot of fine establishments. I will pay for good food! THIS. ISN'T. IT!!! We LOVE trying new places at the Star in Frisco. This is definitely a favorite! The vibe is phenomenal and the fire and air performances are jaw-dropping. Reviews were not very accurate. The food was fairly decent but pricey! Service was marginal. Asked DJ to turn it down but it only lasted a couple of tunes. The reviews haven't been great so maybe our expectations were low but we had a really nice time! Our server Jordan was friendly and really knowledgeable about all of the menu. We had 4 different cocktails and they were all delicious. Jordan discovered what we liked and didn't steer us wrong. Appetizers of crispy artichokes and the wag Yu carpaccio were so good. What a huge disappointment. If I am paying $50+ for an entree I expect way more than what we got last night. Some friends and I really were looking forward to this place. We made reservations a month in advance for my friends birthday dinner. When we get there they seat us outside without asking. (The entire reason for going here is to sit inside??) anyway we looked past it. We order drinks and apps and our meal. The drinks came and were very good. Our apps took exceptionally long, a different server brought them to us. That server forgot plates, and silverware. When they brought it to us it was just put on the table. The apps were OK. 1.5 hours later no entrees, no water refills, no drinks. Nothing. We got up and left to go eat somewhere else. The manager did not act surprised at all this happened. If you are going to be a nice restaurant with high prices, train your staff to treat it as one. This isn't a sports bar. read more

I went to The Glen Resturant to celebrate my sisters birthday I had the Oh no( which is a tequila base drink) 10/10 it was super good! I also ordered the seafood pasta 9/10 it was amazing. My sister ordered the Rigatoni pasta and added shrimp 9/10 she said it was really good. The Lilly Pasta was a bit bland as far as the sauce the lobster was good but the pasta itself 3/10..Our other friends ordered the Tuna and they said it could use a bit more seasoning so 6/10... When we voiced that one was so sweet I could not drink it, the bartender said that typically all drinks with citrus have sugar to balance it. Let me tell you, neither drink was balanced at all! However the chef gave us incomplete dishes without telling us that they ran out of some of the ingredients. We sent back the tomahawk, it just wasn't giving what a steak is supposed to give. The salad was delicious but lacked the garbanzo beans which is the first ingredient listed on the salad. We had to ask why it was left out only to be told that they ran out of it around 5pm. They chart 5 star steakhouse type prices but give 3 star restaurant vibes. Dishes are typically $40 plus so keep that in mind. I was wondering why everyone was sitting at the bar. I get it. Only go for drinks. Also no happy hour at this restaurant which I was shocked by. It's a cute Instagram place, so you'll get super cute pictures if that is your priority when it comes to restaurants. Organized a group dinner of 30 with prix fixe menu. Was way understaffed. No charcuterie board as promised. They didn't deliver what we agreed to and charged us for things they promised included. Food took 90 minutes to come out and 75% of people's food was prepared wrong. My food was good though, albeit barely warm. The staff was rude and unapologetic. I wasn't going to leave a review because it was newly opened but then My wife had a dinner of 8 girls last night and had an even worse experience as food took forever or not at all, incorrect and staff was extremely rude and unapologetic. Came here during the opening week with my husband. Ambiance is beautiful with the floral ceiling and vibrant decor. We were promptly and warmly greeted by server Chris who was excellent! He def made our experience pleasant and seamless considering its a brand new location. As for food the filet was good maybe a tad overcooked but flavor was def there. Seafood Croquettes were delicious. Lobster pasta was good but missing a bit of flavor (garlic plz). As far as music i hate to say it but it was really bad. Playing this almost "euro dance " style house music that just was missing the mark. I def think this place will iron out any kinks and be a great new addition to the star. We will be back. read more
