I've been here only a handful of times over the years and each time they have been consistent and I would say a decade of consistence is a pretty good sign. The pizza is pretty good and they've got a ton of options for sizes and toppings -- including gluten free options! You might want to give take away a try though as the place itself is pretty small and the parking is truly awful as it's extra small angle parking, I can only imagine how many fender benders they've had over the years. read more

First time in with new owners. Waitresses couldn't get away from customers fast enough to the point of really rude. New owners don't know pizza. Crust was so tough needed a serrated knife. Didn't honor our Glenside gift card. Live in neighborhood but won't come back any more. read more

Ordered two pizzas and chicken tenders. One pizza and the chicken came out at the same time, but had to wait 20 minutes for the second pizza and then it was cold. Waited another 20 minutes when we were done eating for our bill. It will be another year before we try this place again. read more

Nothing good to say, I have been and out of Muskegon for years for work, I have always been told to give the pub a go. So tonight I did and from the moment we came in it was going to be a bad night. Been going to glenside pub for years, and many times have enjoyed sitting at the bar having a drink or 3, gambling keno and the pull tabs.Well, tonight was a total disappointment. The new manager had 2 personnel friends there,and myself. Told her I was there for a few drinks and a pizza. Had hard time getting g her attention to play keno, wanting another cocktail, or turning in my winnings. Then advised, well we're closed, can't play or drink or order any more. This place has very good pizza. I like that the crust is thin. The toppings are generous and the quality is fresh. I don't feel like we were skimped on anything. The pizza sauce was saucy! We had a large take out order last night. All items came home perfectly! 2 very large pizzas, plenty for our crew of 6 with some left for lunch today. Deep fried mushrooms were a BIG hit, antipasto salad fresh and delicious, plenty to share and my personal fav, the potato skins were cheesy, thick w potato and bacon and perfect w sour cream. The cocktails here are top rated in my book! A large selection of beers and full bar makes it easy to get your preferred drink. We had wet burritos, French dip, Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. Our appetizers of fried mushrooms and cheese bread were a great kick off we're the perfect beginning. The pizzas going past our table look delicious as well. read more

Stopped in to grab a bite to eat after a few hours out on the town, heard and read good things about Glenside pub. So upon ordering the 17" special pizza which the 3 of us all agreed on, we where totally surprised that we almost couldn't finish it, it was so good, so packed with toppings. Our waitress, who was a doll, kept us in a good mood and reminded us that there are some really great people in the food service business who work hard to make our dinning experience a pleasure. I have to admit, I don't recall ever eating anything other than pizza and fondue (yes I said FONDUE...which I'll get to later) at Glenside Pub. The reason being, the pizza is SOOOOO GOOD that I can't bring myself to order anything else. I know good pizza, too; I consider myself to be quite the pizza expert, both eating it and making it (I can't agree, but my husband and grandkids claim that I make better pizza than any restaurant/pizzeria. LOL!). They offer, I believe, up to an 18" size pie and only one thickness of crust (handtossed, fairly thin, but not as thin as, say, Pizza Hut's 'cracker-thin' crust). There are SEVERAL different toppings available, one of them being thinly-shaved salami; and your chosen toppings are usually put on rather generously. My only MINOR issue, which is purely a matter of personal taste, is that there tends to be a bit too much sauce (not that the sauce us bad, mind you, I just don't like when it 'gushes' out when you take a bite). During the week, from approximately 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., they have a small pizza buffet. There is one pasta dish, a small salad bar, and two GIANT pizzas which have sections with varying toppings (like 6 different pizzas in 1). If memory serves, it's about $6.99 for all you can eat, not including a beverage. Be warned, it's almost ALWAYS busy...but, I assure you, it's well worth the wait. My husband is not as much of a fan of pizza, in general, as I am. He usually orders a burger and fries. He's very much a 'burger man' and says the burgers are passable...not his favorite but certainly not bad enough to shy away from. The burgers come with a pickle spear and krinkle-cut fries (my favorite type). Just a few days ago he got the chicken tenders and fries, which came with cole slaw. He felt the ssme about those as he does the burgers...passable. Now, on to the fondue - One does not find fondue on many menus these days, especially not in Muskegon. But Glenside Pub (along with it's sister restaurant, the now defunked Someplace Else) has served it for as long as I can remember. There is cheese fondue on the appetizer menu and chocolate/peanut butter for dessert; my apologies, I cannot recall the accompaniments. Don't expect a lot of fondue, only about enough for 2 people, but you'll be doing yourself a favor to give them a try. I don't often drink alcohol but I can tell you that they have a pretty good variety of bar offerings; beer, wine, well drinks and a few blended/mixed drinks. As for prices, sorry, I can't help you there. The atmosphere is very casual..."come as you are". The servers wear jeans and t-shirts but don't be bothered by that, as it does not mean they have a casual/lazy attitude when it comes to serving; even when it's hopping busy, they always do their best to remain friendly and efficient. One last thing, the parking set up is wonky! Their lot doesn't have enough parking for the number of tables, and some of the spaces are suitable for only compact cars. Don't keep driving on if the lot is full, though; park in the street or, after thier business hours, park in the veterinarian's lot next door. read more

The pizza is delicious, but atleast the last two times my dad has ordered us pizza on the phone and then picked it up both if not one of the two pizzas was incorrect. I hate having to pick off the wrong toppings and not have what we had asked for. I'm a little hesitant now on going here again. If I do I'm going to always check the pizzas before leaving there. The inside of this place is nothing to write home about--dark and divey--but their pizza is one of my favorites! The crust is on the thinner side and it's the perfect texture and flavor! I love their pizza! We always get the pizza to go, but showed up before it was ready to get a drink while it was in the oven. The plain margaritas were really good and were served in a cool, stemmed glass. The bar tender wasn't sure how to make them but she winged it and it turned out great! read more

I can't say enough great things about Glenside Pub. Hands down one of the best pizza joints of all time (and I lived in Chicago which has some of the best pizza in the country). I love their thinner-style crust and fresh ingredients. They always make their pizzas to perfection; I don't think I have ever had a bad pizza from Glenside in the many many years I have been ordering from there. The inside has recently been renovated but it's still not the flashiest of places, but the food MORE THAN makes up for that. The first time we went to this place was last fall, but we weren't at all impressed - I had a burger that left a few things to be desired, including a cold, and I mean cold, bun. A nice, hot ¼ pounder from YKW would have been better. That was enought to keep me from coming back right there. It fairly sucked. My wife tried the Bison Burger; I had a taste of it, and it was pretty gamey. The more she consumed of it, the less she really liked it. I could tell. She didn't finish it. Follow up: Two months later, with twelve bucks left on our gift card, we tried it again, this time going for that pizza. God, what a difference! This was one of the best pizzas we've ever had, and we've tried many the past 20 years. Number one was consumed in Kalamazoo. I wish like hell I could remember the name of the place, but it was the top-notch best ever tried. I'll rate The Pub's pizza a close second, tied with Lombardo's, just up the road to the west. This pizza was totally crammed with...everything...and oh, it was so damb good. We're gonna have one tonight to enjoy the Stupid, er, Super Bowl with. My fam loved the Grand Finale pizza. Thin crust with a nice crisp. Traditional tomato sauce, toppings piled high. I had the bison burger, cooked perfectly, juicy and well seasoned. Buffalo wings were good, but lacked heat. Our server was attentive and very friendly. Great casual spot to relax and grab a bite. We'll definitely return next time we're in town. read more
