Wow, to say they live up to the hype is an inderstatement. I had the pleasure of staying the weekend here and I have so many positive things to say. From check in to the welcome cocktail, to the chocolates that are hand delivered each day...the attention to detail is unmatched. I had a facial and a massage at the spa, and Dawn gave me the best deep tissue massage I have ever recieved in my entire life. The drinks poolside at The Pink Dolphin were refreshing & well made. The staff was friendly & even accomadated swtiching out Mezcal for a different tequila in one of their drinks and it came out incredible. And the dinner at upstairs at Thea is truly incredible. We came in last night on a whim, following a gala. We didn't have a reservation so could only be sat in the lobby, which was great. The cocktail menu was good - we liked the watermelon aperol spritz and espresso martini, but they also had wines and beers if that's more your speed. This place is immaculate. I want to live and die at The Global Ambassador, never leave the Bentley suite or the spa. The suite was perfectly appointed and so clean, turn down service was flawless. The food from both the restaurants was good, nothing crazy, but definitely good. The staff was so friendly, like-able and functional. They had live music at the bar. We stopped by on a Friday to a live and bustling, packed bar full of good looking people. We had dinner plans at Etta, but wanted somewhere cool to have pre drinks. After trying to no avail, to secure reservations at Carryon, The Lobby Bar at the Global Ambassador came highly recommended from a friend and I am very glad that we came here. My husband and I visited The Global Ambassador on a Friday night to dine at Le Âme. I'm not sure how parking works, but I did notice a parking garage as well as valet available. The lobby and the hotel were bustling. Everyone was dressed to impress. Most if not all of the seats in the lobby were occupied. We tried to get a drink at one of the bars while waiting for our table. We tried Le Âme's bar first and were unsuccessful so we moved over to The Lobby Bar which was busier. However, they had a line for ordering which was more efficient than Le Âme's bar. We hopped in line and although the line was short, it extended into the The Lobby Bar dining area, which made us feel a bit crowded and in other people's personal dining space. Luckily, we received a text notifying us that our table was ready shortly after. Following a wonderful and memorable dinner at Le Âme, we ventured to the sixth floor to visit théa. Although we didn't explore much of the restaurant, I couldn't help but notice the expansive indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant offers stunning views of Camelback Mountain, a lively DJ, and a couple of bars. The Global Ambassador exudes luxury, and I am eager to plan a staycation there in the future! read more

Do not waste your time here. I tried to book my birthday dinner at this hotel and made the reservation four weeks in advance. As soon as my party exceeded 13 people, they told me they could no longer accommodate a 7:00 PM dinner time. Instead of working with me or offering a solution, they said the only options were 5:00 PM or 9:00 PM -- neither of which worked for my group. For a hotel of this supposed caliber, their lack of flexibility and unwillingness to accommodate a reasonable request was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this place if you're planning a special event. Update- I want to update my review after the hotel reached out to me directly. They listened to my concerns and went above and beyond to fix the situation. The team was able to accommodate the space and time I needed so that my birthday celebration could be exactly what I envisioned. I truly appreciate their effort to turn things around and make sure everything is set for a successful evening. Okrrr, gorge hotel lobby. That's about how far we made it, as we weren't hotel guest. We wrapped up a dinner at the adjacent PYRO and walked over to the Global Ambassador for a nightcap. Even though it was a Sunday evening and I was so exhausted, I'm so glad we did because I love a bougie experience, especially on my birthday, so this was a great way to end the night. There's a sea of beautifully curated seating areas, so our party of four had our pick. We paced our way through a few cocktails and a bottle of red. It is RARE that I am impressed by a hotel (or anything, for that matter). The Global Ambassador knocks it out of the park. Like...wow. How is this property not a solid 5 stars? It definitely should be! The finishes are very high end and were clearly well thought out. Waterworks unlacquered brass plumbing fixtures? Check. A minibar stocked with things that this echelon of clientele would actually drink? Check. Luxury skincare products stocked in the room for purchase? Uh huh. Oh, and Byredo toiletries? Yeah, and there's more, but you should check it out for yourself. I love this hotel and felt it was worth every penny. While I was here for a quick, less than 24-hour stay before heading back to the East Coast, I can't wait to be back the next time I'm in Phoenix. read more

The cocktail at the lobby bar tasted like flat soda. I almost spit it back into the glass.

I understand the design and amenities of the Global Ambassador were inspired by trips to Europe by the hotel's principals. To say they nailed it is an understatement. This is a true luxury boutique hotel with 141 rooms that opened in November 2023. The sophisticated ambiance is matched by exceptional staff who are so polite, friendly and customer-focused. As I was coming in for a one-night visit, I booked a room on May 6 with a king size bed without a Camelback view for $570 before taxes and fees. On May 8th, I changed my arrival to one day earlier and the rate had dropped to $470 before taxes and fees. When I arrived on May 22, the rate had dropped again to $310, before taxes and fees. I appreciated the front desk staff allowing me to get that lower rate. Having stayed at hundreds of hotels, I've never seen rates go down as much as you approach arrival. In fact, the rates usually get higher. And because we had an early evening event to attend, they upgraded our room to a Camelback view so we occupy it two hours before normal check-in. Again, props for the Global Ambassador. Renown Phoenix restaurateur Sam Fox has created a stellar dining experience at GA's five distinct dining venues. My wife and I had lunch and breakfast at Le Ame and the food, presentation and service was amazing. What surprised me was the prices. I would have expected them to cost much more at such an upscale venue. Our server, Sammie, at both services, was exceptional. She offered great recommendations. In the evening, Le Ame becomes an intimate steakhouse. We, along with three guests headed to Thea around 7:45pm. I'm so glad we requested outdoor seating, given the temperature was perfect and the views incredible. I'll comment more about Thea in a separate Yelp review. What blew me away was the size of this massive dining area, both inside and out. And it was packed the entire evening. When you enter your room, prepare to be wowed. The furnishings, wall coverings and artwork all look like something you'd see in Europe. The shower gets its own 5 Stars for its amazing water pressure. The bedding was so delightful, it reminded us of our bed at home. The in-room bar is amazing. It's an emporium of snacks, liquors and health aids, including CBD gummies, condoms and even a vibrator. Of course, all of these purchases are charged to your room. We didn't have time on the whirlwind visit to check out the spa or fitness center, but they are considered among the finest in the city. read more

3.31.24: First off, the exterior is nondescript/underwhelming - we've driven by it a few times and didn't even notice it. We popped in on Easter to see if this place was up to all the hype. Aesthetically, the decor is incredibly minimalist and monochromatic. There are tons of blank walls that are just screaming out for art work. Maybe there's a plan to put up local art? We toured the entrance/first floor: lobby bar w/ lots of comfortable seating, coffee shop/bar area, resort gift shop, Le Ame (Parisian steak house), outside grassy seating area and then took the elevator to the roof top. Thea, the Mediterranean rooftop restaurant, was packed with diners. The outside bar and seating area were closed because of the rain. We went outside anyway to get a glimpse of the stunning views and generous seating area. Super excited about the pop of color with the green tile! My friend and I went back downstairs and sat in a corner of the area where the coffee shop/bar is located. I asked a young woman server if we could order and she said they closed at 3 pm, but I could go over to the lobby bar and order something. Seriously? She could have taken our order, retrieved our drinks from the lobby bar (yards away) and brought them to our table. And received a generous tip. Instead, we schlepped over there, ordered for ourselves and returned to the little cozy nook we found to sit and talk. Isn't this supposed to be a high end resort that provides high end service? Disappointing. I ordered a Honey Limeade - a non-alcoholic drink - & it was $12 w/ tax. Ridonculous. The drink was good but not $12 good. If I was at another local resort, it would prob price out at $8. From there, we hung out and caught up. We didn't try any of the five restaurants which I know is the big draw here. So this review is not for food but the general feel/atmosphere/aesthetics. We'll definitely be back to eat!
