I've been to The Global Ambassador twice. Once for dinner at their rooftop restaurant, Thea, and once for drinks at their lobby bar. I have not spent a night at the hotel. On one occasion, I parked in a residential neighborhood a few minutes away by foot for free. The other time, I parked in the adjacent parking garage and the bar validated my ticket. You can also valet, though I'm not about that life. The hotel itself is spectacular. This is definitely an upscale hotel with elegance. Beautiful decor and design. Clean. It's an elevated experience. It's a see and be seen type of spot. Which is not typically my vibe but I'll dabble here and there. Service has also been quite good across the board during both of my experiences. The lobby bar, while not unusual for a hotel, is a nice one. It takes up a good part of the lobby and there are open areas, seating by the bar, and comfortable couches and sofas all-around. Here's my issue with The Global Ambassador...man, it's pricey. A gin and tonic, mind you not a complicated cocktail, though they do use good liquor, was going for $19. That's the same amount you pay for a complex, sophisticated cocktail at a speakeasy. I understand that they're probably trying to attract a certain clientele, but there is a level of gouging going on that is noticeable. Nice place, not so nice prices. read more

From check in to the welcome cocktail, to the chocolates that are hand delivered each day...the attention to detail is unmatched. I had a facial and a massage at the spa, and Dawn gave me the best deep tissue massage I have ever recieved in my entire life. The drinks poolside at The Pink Dolphin were refreshing & well made. The staff was friendly & even accomadated swtiching out Mezcal for a different tequila in one of their drinks and it came out incredible. And the dinner at upstairs at Thea is truly incredible. Every single appertizer, entree, and dessert was delicious! I wish I lived local because I would be here much more often. We came in last night on a whim, following a gala. We didn't have a reservation so could only be sat in the lobby, which was great. The cocktail menu was good - we liked the watermelon aperol spritz and espresso martini, but they also had wines and beers if that's more your speed. Service was fast despite how busy they were and the dress code varied from jeans to very fancy. A little steep on prices, still very worth the trip. Gorgeous building! read more

We also shared the steak skewers, the spanakopita, and the prosciutto flatbread... Everything was so delicious, the steak was amazing, very smooth and easy to cut. My husband and I visited The Global Ambassador on a Friday night to dine at Le Âme. I'm not sure how parking works, but I did notice a parking garage as well as valet available. The lobby and the hotel were bustling. Everyone was dressed to impress. Most if not all of the seats in the lobby were occupied. We tried to get a drink at one of the bars while waiting for our table. We tried Le Âme's bar first and were unsuccessful so we moved over to The Lobby Bar which was busier. However, they had a line for ordering which was more efficient than Le Âme's bar. We hopped in line and although the line was short, it extended into the The Lobby Bar dining area, which made us feel a bit crowded and in other people's personal dining space. Luckily, we received a text notifying us that our table was ready shortly after. Following a wonderful and memorable dinner at Le Âme, we ventured to the sixth floor to visit théa. Although we didn't explore much of the restaurant, I couldn't help but notice the expansive indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant offers stunning views of Camelback Mountain, a lively DJ, and a couple of bars. The Global Ambassador exudes luxury, and I am eager to plan a staycation there in the future! read more

Do not waste your time here. I tried to book my birthday dinner at this hotel and made the reservation four weeks in advance. As soon as my party exceeded 13 people, they told me they could no longer accommodate a 7:00 PM dinner time. Instead of working with me or offering a solution, they said the only options were 5:00 PM or 9:00 PM -- neither of which worked for my group. For a hotel of this supposed caliber, their lack of flexibility and unwillingness to accommodate a reasonable request was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this place if you're planning a special event. Update- I want to update my review after the hotel reached out to me directly. They listened to my concerns and went above and beyond to fix the situation. The team was able to accommodate the space and time I needed so that my birthday celebration could be exactly what I envisioned. I truly appreciate their effort to turn things around and make sure everything is set for a successful evening. Okrrr, gorge hotel lobby. That's about how far we made it, as we weren't hotel guest. We wrapped up a dinner at the adjacent PYRO and walked over to the Global Ambassador for a nightcap. Even though it was a Sunday evening and I was so exhausted, I'm so glad we did because I love a bougie experience, especially on my birthday, so this was a great way to end the night. There's a sea of beautifully curated seating areas, so our party of four had our pick. We paced our way through a few cocktails and a bottle of red.
