What a beautiful property with an even better team. I stopped by for a tour and a mimosa on the patio, and the Camelback Mountain views alone are worth the visit. But honestly, it was the people who made the experience. Every single person I encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to show me around. It is rare to feel that kind of hospitality from the moment you walk in. I also loved seeing Unzented products at The Spa. Great to see quality unscented skincare represented in a property like this. I am already planning my next visit and cannot wait to book a stay. Thank you to the team for such a wonderful first impression.

If you're ever in the Scottsdale area and want to experience a five star resort with Attention To every detail, this has to be the place. I stayed two days on business. The customer experience and level of service I received was phenomenal from the moment they opened up the car door they welcomed me. It has an amazing design, great vibe and energy when I arrived Monday evening the lobby bar and area was full of lively conversation in music. The restaurants are top Notch.

The lobby is stunning in that understated, confident way that great hotels pull off. Clean architectural lines, warm lighting, and a palette of natural materials make the space feel both contemporary and inviting. There's a sense of movement--people coming and going, conversations drifting through the air--but it never feels chaotic. Instead, it feels curated, like the hotel knows exactly the kind of atmosphere it wants to create. Even as someone who wasn't checking in, I felt welcomed. It's the kind of lobby that makes you slow down for a moment just to take it in. The bar itself continues that same design language--sleek, modern, and beautifully lit. It has a polished energy that feels perfect for a pre‑dinner drink, a casual meet‑up, or even a solo moment to unwind. I loved how the space manages to feel upscale without crossing into pretentiousness. There's a warmth to it, a sense that you're meant to linger. Even without staying at the hotel, visiting the bar at The Global Ambassador felt like a mini getaway. The modern lobby sets the stage, the bar delivers on atmosphere and craftsmanship, and the service ties everything together with a sense of ease. It's the kind of place I'd happily return to--whether for a drink before dinner, a relaxed evening with friends, or just to enjoy the ambiance of a beautifully designed space.

Obsessed might be an understatement. This hotel is perfectly curated to have everything you could need for a long weekend without even leaving the property: French pastry and coffee shop in the lobby, Mediterranean roof top bar and restaurant with views, event center with a garden that was set up for a wedding, a fancy gym with workout classes, a swanky lobby bar with super cars pulling up, a vibey pool, and the best spa lounge for after your massage.... Every detail is thought through. I can't wait to return.

Wow, to say they live up to the hype is an inderstatement. I had the pleasure of staying the weekend here and I have so many positive things to say. From check in to the welcome cocktail, to the chocolates that are hand delivered each day...the attention to detail is unmatched. I had a facial and a massage at the spa, and Dawn gave me the best deep tissue massage I have ever recieved in my entire life. The drinks poolside at The Pink Dolphin were refreshing & well made. The staff was friendly & even accomadated swtiching out Mezcal for a different tequila in one of their drinks and it came out incredible. And the dinner at upstairs at Thea is truly incredible. Every single appertizer, entree, and dessert was delicious! I wish I lived local because I would be here much more often. Treat yourself to ANY of the things I mentioned & I promise you wont regret it.

Upscale trendy hotel in Phoenix! We ate at the lobby bar. Small bites and a few entrees to choose from. I tried their spritz, but it was too sweet for me, so we sent back our drinks and got a bottle of sparkling rose from Argentina. Soooo good! The seafood plateau and the truffle fries were on point. This place definitely is a place to be seen at.

Great food and an amazing experience. The meat and seafood were both excellent. The customer service was outstanding. I celebrated a birthday dinner there, and the view was spectacular. Nothing bad to say--just a great overall experience.

Mason from lobby bar aka employee of the year

Shoutout to Mason from Global! My friend's entire sole came off the bottom of her shoe, and Mason went above and beyond to super glue it back on for her. He was so kind, helpful, and absolutely amazing! We really appreciated him going out of his way to help.

What an amazing place. Food was excellent and a great place to bring a large group. Server was so helpful, nice and gave us recommendations on what to get. I will most definitely come back!

    My fabulous latte!

I can not say enough about this hotel. I frequent the spa & stay over night as well. The attention to detail, the staff are all above & beyond. I was upstairs in my room, and I ventured downstairs because I was in the mood for a chocolate chip cookie, the coffee shop was already closed, but the manager went in the back to look for a sweet treat for me and came out with a lemon bar! It was really sweet and above and beyond the call of duty. After I finished my spa service, I had a 20 minute session in the infrared room the front desk at the spa knew exactly when I was finished and came up to direct me to my infrared session. Every time I've had a spa service here each person has been exceptional. Their procedures their essence and their energy are completely in sync with the surroundings.. I really do love it here I can't say enough. I will be back.

The Global Ambassador is just top notch!! I haven't stayed at the hotel yet, but I have enjoyed so many other experiences they have to offer!! Fabulous restaurants and meeting friends for coffee, lunch and drinks. Fun holiday pop-ups for drinks and throughout the hotel. Live music and a great gift shop!!

The hotel is inspired by the colorful and folk art influenced works of renowned mid-century modern architect and designer Alexander "Sandro" Girard. The hotel's bio says he was the main source of inspiration for the design of the Andaz Scottsdale. The property is beautiful to walk around, with all the landscaping, flowers and trees; some of them are marked with what kind of plant they are. There are century plants and aloe and various cacti. The fitness center is located at the spa. It has windows which open up onto the pool, which is a more private pool than the main pool. The staff is outstanding. Savannah, who ran the front desk on my most recent visit, is absolutely amazing and really helped with any questions or small issues with my stay. The restaurant is wonderful for the hotel breakfast. I recommend having cocktails there too. You can see a beautiful sunset from the bar. I love the open design of this hotel resort because it makes you feel like you're in the countryside and you can admire the beautiful views of Camelback as you walk around the grounds and hear birds chirping. It's so relaxing. Parking is easy and you can usually find a spot right outside your casita room as the parking circles the hotel. Toiletries in the room smell so good! Lavender with sea salt. It's really like staying in a spa! One of my favorite experiences at this hotel was taking a late afternoon outdoor class at the spa/gym on the large lawn where we did stretching/light resistance training with the the sunset behind Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. It was glorious. I definitely recommend trying one of the classes or "experiences" if you stay here. Some of them you have to pay extra for, but a few of them are included with your room rate. At first glance the hotel interiors and architecture seem extremely simple and minimal, but then you realize it's actually all a piece of mid-century modern inspired art. It's really fun to walk around and admire all the understated design details at this hotel.

The hotel is surprisingly affordable for Scottsdale, clean, well maintained, and has a ton of character. Unfortunately, there were also several things that left me wondering if time is beginning to pass this Scottsdale icon by. Our room was nice, but it stayed consistently around 76 degrees until the middle of the night. Why? Because there appeared to be a single vent pumping out just enough cold air to rival a household fan. I don't need my hotel room to double as a meat locker, but in Arizona, I would at least like the option. Also, being woken up by a leaf blower each morning as the wind whipped around the crevices of the door... yeah, not enjoyable. The pool was nice enough, but surprisingly small, crowded, and the water was hot. For a Scottsdale hotel with the reputation Valley Ho carries, the entire pool experience just felt a little dated and cheaper than I expected. We also paid $400+ for our cabana, only to discover the safe didn't work. At that price point, I expect every amenity included with the cabana to function properly. Now for the absolute bright spot of our pool experience: Alex! Alex was THE MAN. This dude strutted around that pool serving patrons with a smile and a full heart. My wife, our friends, and I were genuinely excited every time we saw him coming our way because his customer service was impeccable. He was personable, attentive, funny, and made us feel like he genuinely wanted us to have a great time. Give that man his flowers. Overall, I understand why Hotel Valley Ho is such a Scottsdale institution. There's history, character, and plenty to like about the property. But between the struggling A/C, questionable soundproofing, small and overcrowded pool, hot water, and malfunctioning cabana amenities, the experience didn't quite live up to the reputation. I don't regret staying here. My wife and I still enjoyed our weekend, and we made some great memories with our friends. I just think the Valley Ho experience sounds a little better on paper than it actually delivers in practice. Would I stay again? Possibly. Would I request Alex if I'm sitting poolside? In a heartbeat.

The entire staff were very friendly and helpful when asked. Never understood what was included in the $45/night resort fee and the parking was $35/night for valet and 30 for self park. So be forewarned add the $80 a night to your room rate. Plus the distance to your room can be quite a trek. Anyways would we stay here again?? Not sure. For the money we might try one of the other resorts around the area. So can't say either way right now.
