I was very impressed with the ambiance the moment I stepped in. Everyone I had the chance to speak to was extremely polite and professional. Even though it was a fairly busy evening, drinks came out in a timely manner. There is enough room to hang out or find an area to sit down with your friends. Do not waste your time here. I tried to book my birthday dinner at this hotel and made the reservation four weeks in advance. As soon as my party exceeded 13 people, they told me they could no longer accommodate a 7:00 PM dinner time. Instead of working with me or offering a solution, they said the only options were 5:00 PM or 9:00 PM -- neither of which worked for my group. For a hotel of this supposed caliber, their lack of flexibility and unwillingness to accommodate a reasonable request was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this place if you're planning a special event. Update- I want to update my review after the hotel reached out to me directly. They listened to my concerns and went above and beyond to fix the situation. The team was able to accommodate the space and time I needed so that my birthday celebration could be exactly what I envisioned. I truly appreciate their effort to turn things around and make sure everything is set for a successful evening. I understand the design and amenities of the Global Ambassador were inspired by trips to Europe by the hotel's principals. To say they nailed it is an understatement. This is a true luxury boutique hotel with 141 rooms that opened in November 2023. The sophisticated ambiance is matched by exceptional staff who are so polite, friendly and customer-focused. As I was coming in for a one-night visit, I booked a room on May 6 with a king size bed without a Camelback view for $570 before taxes and fees. On May 8th, I changed my arrival to one day earlier and the rate had dropped to $470 before taxes and fees. When I arrived on May 22, the rate had dropped again to $310, before taxes and fees. I appreciated the front desk staff allowing me to get that lower rate. Having stayed at hundreds of hotels, I've never seen rates go down as much as you approach arrival. In fact, the rates usually get higher. And because we had an early evening event to attend, they upgraded our room to a Camelback view so we occupy it two hours before normal check-in. Again, props for the Global Ambassador. Renown Phoenix restaurateur Sam Fox has created a stellar dining experience at GA's five distinct dining venues. My wife and I had lunch and breakfast at Le Ame and the food, presentation and service was amazing. What surprised me was the prices. I would have expected them to cost much more at such an upscale venue. Our server, Sammie, at both services, was exceptional. She offered great recommendations. In the evening, Le Ame becomes an intimate steakhouse. We, along with three guests headed to Thea around 7:45pm. I'm so glad we requested outdoor seating, given the temperature was perfect and the views incredible. I'll comment more about Thea in a separate Yelp review. What blew me away was the size of this massive dining area, both inside and out. And it was packed the entire evening. When you enter your room, prepare to be wowed. The furnishings, wall coverings and artwork all look like something you'd see in Europe. The shower gets its own 5 Stars for its amazing water pressure. The bedding was so delightful, it reminded us of our bed at home. The in-room bar is amazing. It's an emporium of snacks, liquors and health aids, including CBD gummies, condoms and even a vibrator. Of course, all of these purchases are charged to your room. We didn't have time on the whirlwind visit to check out the spa or fitness center, but they are considered among the finest in the city. read more

Okrrr, gorge hotel lobby. That's about how far we made it, as we weren't hotel guest. We wrapped up a dinner at the adjacent PYRO and walked over to the Global Ambassador for a nightcap. Even though it was a Sunday evening and I was so exhausted, I'm so glad we did because I love a bougie experience, especially on my birthday, so this was a great way to end the night. There's a sea of beautifully curated seating areas, so our party of four had our pick. We paced our way through a few cocktails and a bottle of red. 3.31.24: First off, the exterior is nondescript/underwhelming - we've driven by it a few times and didn't even notice it. We popped in on Easter to see if this place was up to all the hype. Aesthetically, the decor is incredibly minimalist and monochromatic. There are tons of blank walls that are just screaming out for art work. Maybe there's a plan to put up local art? We toured the entrance/first floor: lobby bar w/ lots of comfortable seating, coffee shop/bar area, resort gift shop, Le Ame (Parisian steak house), outside grassy seating area and then took the elevator to the roof top. Thea, the Mediterranean rooftop restaurant, was packed with diners. The outside bar and seating area were closed because of the rain. We went outside anyway to get a glimpse of the stunning views and generous seating area. Super excited about the pop of color with the green tile! My friend and I went back downstairs and sat in a corner of the area where the coffee shop/bar is located. I asked a young woman server if we could order and she said they closed at 3 pm, but I could go over to the lobby bar and order something. Seriously? She could have taken our order, retrieved our drinks from the lobby bar (yards away) and brought them to our table. And received a generous tip. Instead, we schlepped over there, ordered for ourselves and returned to the little cozy nook we found to sit and talk. Isn't this supposed to be a high end resort that provides high end service? Disappointing. I ordered a Honey Limeade - a non-alcoholic drink - & it was $12 w/ tax. Ridonculous. The drink was good but not $12 good. If I was at another local resort, it would prob price out at $8. From there, we hung out and caught up. We didn't try any of the five restaurants which I know is the big draw here. So this review is not for food but the general feel/atmosphere/aesthetics. We'll definitely be back to eat! We were lucky to get 2 spots at the bar outside to minimize the noise and be able to talk. The bartender greeted us quickly and gave us menus for food and drink. The food menu is more appetizers and light bites than a full menu. It's a great place to people watch as you have an array of clientele. If you aren't able to get a seat at the bar they have a designated area to walk up to the bar to get a drink vs reaching over other people to get a bartenders attention. We ordered shrimp cocktail and the shrimp was huge, plus homemade potato chips and onion dip. After 1 drink we went upstairs to the rooftop bar. There were no seats to sit and just stood outside to enjoy the view. Can't wait to go back with girlfriends. read more

At first glance, it appears to offer a high-end experience. However, the illusion fades quickly. The lobby, though stylish from a distance, has noticeably unclean tables and stained and worn chairs and rugs that undermine the sense of luxury. Several staff members also appeared somewhat unkempt, both in grooming and in uniform, which makes the hotel's polished image feel more aspirational than actual. Attention to the smallest of details is what takes something average and makes it extraordinary. After visiting the property a handful of times, I find the lack of care consistent. The overall atmosphere leans heavily toward people performing sophistication rather than creating a genuinely refined environment. read more

I came here for my birthday and am a little taken back my the service. When my mom & I entered to check in for our service we were greeted with a receipt to sign for the service... I have gone to various spa's in the country and out of country and never had to pay and tip PRIOR. What if I wanted to give my therapist a higher tip bc she went above and beyond? Also they did not explain where to put anything that we used. Another guest even asked ME where she should put her dirty robe. I told her im not sure as the direction here was slim & she also shared that concern and shock. Not with the $. Also my massage therapist kept changing her mind mid treatment, she would get me all set up to do the right leg then all the sudden saw my moms therapist doing something else and fixed my sheet and moved to a different body section...? Five restaurants and bars with the rooftop patio opening next week. Had drinks and lunch at the Pink Dolphin, which is the pool bar. Drinks and food were good. The wait and bar staff were super attentive. Definitely worth checking out. Drinks were $16 to $20 for the most part. Great layout. Pricey to stay, depending on the night of the week. The food was great. We ended up getting room service from there on our last day! We had reservations after dinner at the lobby bar, but we decided to enjoy Thea, the rooftop bar, for a bit longer. The staff at the lobby bar were kind enough to push our reservations an hour out to accommodate us. When we arrived at the lobby bar, Marcella informed us that our reserved table was occupied but she found us another table. After being seated, we asked to move to a better view, and they were more than accommodating! I cannot praise their impeccable service enough. I went to the Global Ambassador for the ambiance and coffee and got a delightful experience. The barista and waiters were so kind and went the extra mile to ensure I had a good experience. The vanilla spiced latte was a DREAM, and I ended up getting another before I left. We also tried the avocado toast with egg and it was so delicious and filling. We sat and read for about an hour and throughly enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance is something Arizona doesn't have and I loved being able to escape from the bland desert and into a place that reminded me of D.C. I had heard a few people utter as they came in that "this was not Phoenix anymore," in a positive way. Parking was easy in the parking garage and the rates were $5 an hour, but you can validate it at the hotel. Even valet parking was only $8 if you want to splurge! Even if you can't afford a night here, come for the food, coffee, and delightful experience! read more

This place would get five stars if it wasn't for the jerk of employees in valet. I see my car, so what do I do? Walk to it! Next thing I know the valet driver turns into me and hits me. Then he proceeds to tell me. Oh, that's your fault. You're standing in the middle of the road. Actually, no sir. I'm walking straight to my car... this is a valet area in front of a hotel, not a main road so you need to be more aware of your surroundings and make sure that you don't hit pedestrians. Next, when I finally arrive to my car and speak with the gentleman because I was going to give him cash rather than pay virtually.. I informed him of what just happened, and he also proceeded to tell me " oh yeah I saw that, that was your fault." This is absolutely unacceptable . First of all, I should've received an apology for getting hit, that is common sense for anybody who's not even in customer service. Secondly, they should've taken accountability. Guess what buddy in a valet environment, there is going to be pedestrians, so you should probably not hit them. Thankfully given the situation, obviously the employee was not driving fast. However, I should've received a genuine apology, and both of the employees should not have told me " It's your fault" Given the fact that the gentleman did not charge me for the valet shows that he knew that his team member was in the wrong . I'm so disappointed in how they handled this situation. How hard is it to say sorry when you hit someone with a car. I will never valet here again EVER. Honestly almost makes me not want to come back at all. read more

If it's a swanky little hang out you're looking for, this is the place! I didn't stay at the hotel, but I did stop in for some light bites and drinks in the Lobby Bar; I was so happy I did. First of all, we pulled in and the valet team greeted us right away. They graciously took our keys and info, which allowed us to walk away from the car without a care. The Lobby Bar was perfectly lit and the music held the space and set the mood. The furniture is velvety to the touch, which perfectly complement the marble tabletops. The cocktail menu has something for everyone, and the server helped me easily choose a drink. I got the Spritz, which was delicious! The food menu has some classy munchies, perfect for the space. We tried the chips and dip, shrimp cocktail, salad maisôn, and Sam's Famous Buttered Noodles. We enjoyed all of it, but my favorite was the salad; the lettuce was fresh, it had avocado, radishes, fresh herbs de provance, and the dressing was perfectly balanced with just a hint of sweetness. The buttered noodles were also exceptional. We finished the night with a creme brûlée and a latte. We will definitely be back! read more
