Server took order for drinks. 10 minutes later, server takes order for food. 20 minutes later, food comes out before drinks. Half way through the meal, drinks come. A few good vegetarian options. Burger was pretty standard - fries tasted like it was sitting for a while, which was a shame. Fries should be made to order since there's not enough demand to precook fries. Sean the bartender carrie's this place he deserves 5 stars for always taking care of the people here. Other servers/bartenders that have taken care of me are not the best. I ordered just a single side of fries today and it took over 35 to 40 minutes. Sean took care of the problem immediately. I've eaten here and have got drinks multiple times and if he isn't taking care of you prepare for not the best service. Pleasantly surprised by how good the food was at The Goat Gahanna! I'd been to Morning Ritual coffee shop whom they share space with several times and have loved my drinks, but never really enjoyed their food options. First time eating at The Goat restaurant and enjoyed an absolutely delicious brunch with my sister. I got the breakfast casserole that came out piping hot and loaded with cheesy potatoes, eggs, bacon and scallions. My sister tried the buffalo chicken wrap which she also loved. We went for coffee only, it was decent, it has a little bit of burnt flavor which is not ideal but since this is a franchise i don't expect high quality. However i would take it over regular chains every time. It is a as pricey place tho. Service was great is fast, there was no long wait. Their coffee side is not super developed yet from what i saw. However they do have two beautiful pools, we didn't get to use them but there was decent number of people there. Not sure I would go out of my way to go back, unless we plan on utilizing the pools. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. We got the Hot chicken pizza and the Italian pizza roll, which were both great taste wise. Because of the pool and the beach volleyball court, this almost feels like a resort. It's located in a residential area, so it has a very interesting vibe. I got wine but couldn't get a glass because it was happy hour but I got a bottle and it wasn't expensive-only $4 more than a glass would have been. There's a walk up window where people at the pool or playing volleyball can get their food. It really feels like a resort. The manager, "JP" was attentive and friendly. I moved into the LC Gahanna in August and recently decided my opinion on the Goat. I am a big fan of their happy hour specials. I recommend going on Tuesdays and Fridays. Tuesdays are $5 loaded tots and Fridays are tacos which are AMAZING. I like the farmhouse tots and the jerk chicken tacos. The happy hour special also has my two favorite cocktails the Blueberry mule and Elderberry. My favorite meal is the Baja Chicken. It has blackened chicken, bacon, cheddar, avocado, greens, tomato, scallions, chipotle ranch all in a sun-dried tomato wrap. I highly recommend it. I haven't really tried many of the sides as the tots are my favorite but the French fries are a close second favorite for me. My favorite thing about the Goat is that if you live in the complex, it's free delivery for residents that's what really makes my day. The only downfall of the goat is that it doesn't open until 4 pm on weekdays and that puts a damper on working from home. read more

First off, I am not one to write reviews, if the service and food are bad I usually don't go back... but this is an exception. I was having brunch with my friends earlier today and it was pretty slow, only one other table was sat. The food was great as always but the server, Reilly, was very inattentive and gave pretty bad service. This seems to be the norm when friends suggest it and we get a table. But this will be the last time I will be going. As we were waiting for the Reilly to make an appearance again, I just asked for the bill so we could get going. As she went back to the server area she was loudly saying that girl in the middle is such a b*tch.. All I was trying to do was get the check after terrible service and being there for much longer than we had anticipated. Reilly continued to talk very rudely before coming out with our checks. There was a female manager (I am assuming because of her blazer) and another server that walked out of the server area smiling and caring on. As a person who has been in the service industry this is the most absurd thing I have heard. And for the other employee and a manager to not say anything and act like it was a joke is really disappointing. Something really needs to be done with Reilly and her position in a hospitality setting. But this could be that people above them allow it to happen. It is a real shame that The Goat has this sort of staff.. the food and atmosphere is awesome. The servers really need to learn hospitality and be trained better. read more

This is the first time and last time we eat at The Goat in Gahanna. The waiter was slow to non-existent. First of all the seats in the bench are so high our feet could not touch the floor. We were not comfortable at all to eat. The waiter was apologizing for everything. The had a drink on the menu and didn't have the ingredients to make it! The food was fantastic, but due to being uncomfortable and the waiter be scarce, we will take a pass on The Goat. The pizza rolls are enough for a meal. They tasted great! The burgers were great! Wanted to take my mom somewhere for Mother's Day but because of her tendency to not want to eat certain foods it became a little bit of a hassle so we actually found the goat by accident looking for things in the area of a restaurant we went to that she didn't like very much. The inside is super Duper cute and very comfortable the service was quick and amazing Phallynn did a very good job taking care of us and making sure that my mom had options! We ate the food so quickly that I didn't get a chance to take a photo but everything was delicious we end up getting the brisket Gyro with fries and mac & cheese and two orders of wings which all came out promptly and hot to the touch. We came to the Gahanna location on a cool May evening. It is in the middle of some townhomes/condos, right next to the pool, and it gives it a resort type of feel. We came right at the end of happy hour, so my mom enjoyed a bottle of wine for just $11, and I got the Italian flatbread. The flatbread was VERY good. I'm not sure what type of bread it was. It wasn't what I've had in the past on flatbread, but almost a thin pita/cracker consistently, and I loved that. All of the ingredients paired together very 5 had so much flavor. My only complaint is that it was really small and I was still hungry, so I had to order something else because I was still hungry. I ended up getting a side of Mac and cheese (very good) and a s'mores brownie (a little rich for me, but it was still good). I took off one star only because the service was very slow. The waitress mentioned that there was only one cook in it kitchen so, what can you do. The manager, JP, was walking around the restaurant the whole time, making sure that everyone and everything was good. Because I live, and have lived, in Preserve Crossing for almost 5 years, I am a little biased about the Goat. It is truly my go-to with friends or my fiancé when we want food or drink close to home. It's so convenient to have the Goat as part of our (already amazing) community. I am at the Goat probably at least once a week, and in the summer, every day because I am a teacher. The drinks are great, Sarah and Chris (although I think he's at New Albany now) are amazing and friendly bartenders. We have come to the Goat for occasions like after our engagement party and our birthdays and always been pleased. I have been here twice and Abbie/Abby was fantastic and the Manager didn't leave you to ask for anything. That is what good service is. I have worked in many restaurants through out the US and being kind and thinking of the customer experience is some how not being taught. With the price of food going up and being affected by inflation, people are paying more attention to the service they are getting. A drink and meal are easy $30. So that is a basic $6 tip. Very terrible service. Not sure if they forgot about me and my friends but we sat for a good hour and a half waiting on food. The waiter didn't come and check to see if we needed refills or let us know that the food would becoming out or anything, also when it was fine to check out never came back to even collect the money we had to actually go up to the bar to cash out. I hate to say it was a race issue but I noticed another gentleman who was African American was getting the same treatment as people who came in before us with bigger parties for their food way before we did. The Goat is the neighborhood watering hole for the residents of the Preserve Crossing Lifestyle Community which is located in the Club House. This place is soooo cooool that I almost feel like moving into the neighborhood, but my wife won't let me! We brought my in-laws here for an OSU football game recently. It's very hip, trendy and cozy all at the same time. They've got plenty of flat screens to enjoy your favorite sporting event. The furniture is very unique and quite comfortable. They've simulated a home-away-from-home atmosphere where you feel like someone built a bar in the middle of your living room (and invited over a bunch of strangers to celebrate too). Right outside the patio doorways is the lavish and expansive swimming pool area surrounded by chairs, tables, cornhole boards and propane grills. This truly is a summertime sanctuary. But, if it's too cold for the pool, you can still enjoy the warmth of this pub and its wonderful food and drink menu year round. The best part about The Goat is that nobody really knows about it (yet), because it's tucked away in the middle of this sprawling condo community in the hinterlands of the Gahanna/Columbus tundra.
