After reading a beautifully written feature on The Good Table in Down East Magazine, we finally felt inspired to go. This spot had been on our list since moving to Maine, and it felt like the perfect time. We booked same-day reservations for brunch and ended up having one of the best brunches we've ever had in Maine. From the food to the service and the cozy ambiance, everything was perfect; so much so that I bought a gift card before we left because I knew we'd want to come back soon. The brunch menu isn't huge, but it had just the right amount of variety. I ordered the croissant French toast, and my husband went for the burger. Both were incredible. After my first bite, I turned to him and said, "I don't think I've had French toast until now"--it was that good. The cranberry compote on top was *chef's kiss*. My husband's burger was cooked to perfection l. The coffee was amazing, served in the cutest little cup that made me feel like I was at a cabin-themed restaurant tucked in the mountains. The staff kept refilling it without us ever needing to ask. Our Bloody Marys were just as impressive. Everything about the experience; from the warm, attentive service to the inviting, homey vibe of the restaurant; made it feel extra special, especially on a chilly day. I can't believe it took us this long to visit The Good Table. I already can't wait to go back.

I stopped in for a solo lunch. Such a sweet place with great food. Gotta love outdoor seating as well!

Food was okay. Ordered the vegetable pasta first and really did not enjoy. Then ordered fish and chips and for a classic dish couldn't go wrong. Others ordered the halibut and asked for it to be blackened which was delicious so wish I ordered that instead. The strip steak was also a good a choice.

My wife and I came here for our anniversary. We were greeted with well wishes from the staff and a glass of Prosecco. Service was amazing all around. We had the Kale Salad, Crab Cake, Halibut, Mac'n Cheese, and Mashed potatoes. The star of the show was the halibut but everything was amazingly simple and delicious. Wish we could have explored more of the menu.

The brussel/kale caeser is amazing! I also enjoyed the rib eye special. I love sitting at the bar and watching the bartender whip up cocktails. Our service was excellent, and I find the staff very welcoming.

Wowowow. We tried The Good Table for dinner last night and it was incredible! The burger was perfection, especially with the side of mac. We had a lovely server, and the whole team was very attentive and friendly. A pleasant surprise was the view through the back windows, which made it feel like you're tucked away in the woods. We can't wait to go back. PS: you need the rolls.

We were seated inside immediately as it was between lunch and dinner hours. Service throughout was terrific My wife ordered their fish and chips while I opted for the fried fisherman's platter. My wife enjoyed her dinner as the fried haddock was fresh with a nice light batter. The fries were okay, albeit a bit generic. My platter also came with the same nicely fried haddock. It also came with a small handful of fried whole bellied claws and a large amount of popcorn shrimp. The clams were disappointing, a bit on the rubbery and soggy side, sitting under the haddock getting steamed in the process. The breading had disappeared. The tiny shrimp added nothing to the dish. The cole slaw that came with both plates was weak, with little if any dressing and overly shredded veggies. All in all it was just okay, but admittedly a disappointment. I should have went with the lobster roll.

Our waitress was hands down amazing, because when my mom asked for water, she remembered that she didn't get ice and asked her she wanted ice in her water, which I thought was such a thing to remember. She was super friendly, and I made sure to tell her that at the end that I thought she was awesome. I got the chicken sandwich and the onion rings and they were both delicious. My mom got the taste of maine. The only thing that I think she would have changed is the clam chowder had a lot of potatoes in it.i think she wish it had more clams. But overall it was great

Both were exactly as we had hoped. The free valet parking was also a bonus. Regarding the actual food, for new it was a Greek Salad with grilled chicken and my dinner partner had the lobster roll. The salad was just a salad, the lettuce was not the freshest and the dressing was sparse, but the chicken was well grilled and juicy. My friend said the lobster roll was good as it did not have large chucks of celery, and the flavor of the lobster was good. She said she has had better and she had worse. Again, if though want pubs food with a drink and a great view, this is the spot. If you are seeking a great and flavorful meal, I would look elsewhere.

We enjoyed the fresh oysters and the 'clambake' of mixed seafood treats. When we were recently back in town, we were looking forward to a return visit but sadly, were quite disappointed. The good news is that the oysters were fresh and tasty ($37/doz). The rest was disappointing. The servings were now tapas-size. The well-known brown butter lobster roll was not quite like the image on the www site. Tasty, but not a meal. (Red's Eats is a real lobster roll.) We also ordered bluefin tuna crudo, which is sprinkled with scallions and diced ginger bits and slices of radish. The tuna was fresh, but the flavor of this fish is not strong enough to stand up to these toppings. Taken together, the fish is barely detectable. Pull off the radish and the fish comes through but the ginger dominates. Pick off most the ginger and it's pretty good. However, there should not have been a fish scale (~1 cm sq). Makes me wonder about the potential crossover in the kitchen. Sorry, Eventide, we'll go elsewhere next time.
