They also were very chill about me taking an extra moment to feed our baby. It was truly the best (and most scenic) place to regroup and take an hour to get a snack and care for the baby. We ended up ordering oysters and a poke bowl. The oysters were super tasty and fresh. The poke bowl was loaded with fish and veggies, but the rice was obviously a day old and was a bit hard and clumpy. The sauce on the poke bowl was also a bit salty. I ordered an Aperol spritz, which was perfect and complimented the sunny beach vibes well.

The good news is that the oysters were fresh and tasty ($37/doz). The rest was disappointing. The servings were now tapas-size. The well-known brown butter lobster roll was not quite like the image on the www site. Tasty, but not a meal. (Red's Eats is a real lobster roll.) We also ordered bluefin tuna crudo, which is sprinkled with scallions and diced ginger bits and slices of radish. The tuna was fresh, but the flavor of this fish is not strong enough to stand up to these toppings. Taken together, the fish is barely detectable. Pull off the radish and the fish comes through but the ginger dominates. Pick off most the ginger and it's pretty good. However, there should not have been a fish scale (~1 cm sq). Makes me wonder about the potential crossover in the kitchen. Sorry, Eventide, we'll go elsewhere next time.

This is my first review that I have ever done on a restaurant---I feel compelled to write it due to a crappy experience at brunch this morning. Party of six--herded in like cattle, seated and promptly forgotten about by our waitress "Becca". Everything we ordered arrived in 5-10 min intervals, and all of it cold. One of our party practically begged for a cinnamon bun, and he was assured that he would get one as soon as they came out of the oven. Shortly after, the pan of buns was placed in the dining room---Becca walked by the fresh pan no less than 100 times, as the other waitstaff picked up and delivered these buns to each of their own tables until they were gone. When we finally were able to get Becca's attention she LIED and said that no more buns were being made today. No apology, no offer for another pastry---nothing. I spoke up and told her that the pan she walked by 100 times and ignored was now empty. Again, no apology....just turned and walked into the kitchen. Ten minutes later, the hostess arrived with two cinnamon buns drenched in icing----so basically, old leftovers from the fridge, popped into the microwave, then drowned in icing to hide how stale they were. We were charged full price 8.50 for two buns. Still waiting for an "I'm sorry" which I never received. I tipped 10% which was more generous than she deserved. Will never eat here again! read more
