I've never eaten anything that I didn't like. My faves are: milhojas, breakfast croissant sandwich, and any and every cake with dulce de leche filling. I only tiny, minuscule complaint I have about this place is the lack of signage for the pastries and cakes. It would be nice to know what I'm looking at without having the ask. Absolutely zero gatekeeping here. Please everyone keep patronizing this establishment. I need this place to continue to exist in my hood.

So get anything fresh, like made to order cakes or things you see come out right when you're there. Otherwise you run the risk of getting old stuff, which sucks that they don't manage that at all. On a Sunday afternoon lines moved quickly and we were able to find seats. This is a cute cafe that offers plenty of savory items and lunches, plus drinks like matcha, cakes, pastries and cookies. There is also a bathroom! The women behind the counter were all nice and patient with my questions, they also kept the line moving and were quick. I had high hopes for the Alfajores as this is an Argentinian bakery but unfortunately the ones given to me were stale. The cookie was very hard. Also the Dulce de leche was too sweet and burnt tasting to me. I also got a chocolate covered one and the cookie in that was also hard and dry. The strawberry croissant was amazing. Never had anything like that before. Not too sweet and very flaky. It has a ribbon of red on the outside which gives it a unique look. I would love to come back and try savory items. I'll continue to stick with the cakes and croissants for desert and make sure it's fresh!

I like that there are tables outside too. Luckily my girlfriend and I were able to snag seats at the counter by the window. I won't spend too much time going over each menu item because they might not even have it at the time you visit. From my understanding they rotate their menu pretty often. Follow them on IG to get updates. However I think their Ube Latte Croissant is a staple (and for good reason!). The croissant itself is super buttery and flaky with a good amount of ube flavor. It's earthy and sweet. I didn't know that there was a coffee cream filling until I but in and was pleasantly surprised. Their offerings have a good mix of savory and sweet pastries. I tried a bunch and loved them all. I can highly recommend Panaderya Salvaje.

I'd been wanting to try this bakery for a while since it's not always open, and I was excited by its colorful pastries. I ordered several items on my first visit because I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, most of the pastries were overbaked, to the point of being hard and crunchy rather than crisp--and overwhelmingly sweet. On top of that, many of the pastries lacked much flavor beyond the sugar. The ube monkey bread was especially disappointing: the crust was clearly overbaked, the filling was far too sweet, and I couldn't even finish it. Several of the other pastries had the same issue, they were overbaked, losing the light, crisp texture they should have had, leaving little more than sweetness. Too bad. I really wanted to like this place. If you wanna get their pastries for their appearance alone, go for it.

Everything I tried was seriously not too sweet and I truly mean it. Perfect for anyone who loves low-sugar desserts with tea flavors. Highly recommend grabbing some desserts next time you're on a boba run! *Black Sesame Basque Burnt Cheesecake 黑芝麻巴斯克蛋糕 $12.50 *** From the half-molten creamy center, you could already tell this basque burnt cheesecake nailed the texture. It was bursting with nutty black sesame flavor, and best of all, not overly sweet. Arguably the best black sesame basque burnt cheesecake I've had in a while. *Uji Matcha Tart 宇治抹茶撻 $8/2pc ** The Uui matcha made all the difference! Earthy and bitter in the best way, while the thin white chocolate balanced it out perfectly. Easily an 11/10. I'd go back just for this. *Black Sesame Tart 黑芝麻撻 $8/2pc While the black sesame flavor here wasn't as intense as the cheesecake, I still loved the subtle sweetness. It was just like traditional canto black sesame dessert but with a french touch. I had to say, the shortbread crust of the tart was absolutely delicious. At this price point, I only wished their tarts were bigger! *Pistachio Oolong Pudding 開心果烏龍奶茶凍 $7.99 I was so amazed by the floral note from the oolong milk pudding. The contrast of nutty pistachio cream and oolong roma was beautiful. *Sea Salt Cheese Oreo Mochi 海鹽芝士雪媚娘 $6.99 Their mochi was soft, squishy, and filled to the brim with oreo crunch and sea salt cream cheese.

I tried both the pudding and the tarts, and they were delicious. They have that perfect 'not too sweet' flavor profile that I absolutely love. Just a heads up that the portions are definitely on the smaller side--the tarts are essentially mini-sized--but the quality makes up for it. The pistachio flavor was an absolute standout for me. I would happily stop by to get these again the next time I'm in the area!
