Loved this outdoor space! There was a private event inside so we went outside, and the area underneath the awning was so peaceful with 2 tvs and lots of tables. There were so many bugs so make sure you have your bug spray! Our drinks were delicious and our waitress was so kind to help us customize our drinks! There were many game like bags, bocce ball, and checkers for the adults and kids. Really enjoyed this spot!

I had heard so many great things about this place, so maybe I caught them on an off night, but unfortunately my experience fell pretty short of expectations. The location is a bit unusual, tucked into a residential area, and parking was difficult. That said, the patio was lovely and the overall ambiance was definitely one of the highlights. The restaurant was packed for a weeknight, so it may have been an understaffing issue, but service was noticeably slow throughout the evening. One thing that stood out right away was that the menu felt pretty limited, with not a lot of variety to choose from, which made the disappointing food even more frustrating. The shaken fries were absolutely fantastic and easily the best part of the meal. Unfortunately, the summer berry salad was one of the most disappointing dishes I've had in a long time. The menu described it as featuring "locally sourced summer berries and fruits," but in reality it was mostly dripping wet lettuce with just a handful of blackberries thrown on top. It felt poorly thought out, and all the blackberry seeds made it difficult to enjoy. Overall, the atmosphere was great and there's clearly potential here, but the food and service just didn't live up to the hype for me this time.

Finally had an opportunity to try @goodyearhouse in NoDa and it is a vibe on the patio. The shed bar out back is cool. I love that it is pet friendly. Everyone liked their food especially the fries in the bag. Liv our waitress was amazing and had great suggestions. I would definitely comeback.

This was my final solo dinner date of 2025 and it did not disappoint! I came on Tues around 8pm and enjoyed a couple tasty drinks and tried the chicken wings and the carbonara pasta. It was not too busy at the time although the bartender had mentioned to some others that they had been swamped earlier so I chose a good time to go. The spicy Paloma was very tasty and the sparkling rose was refreshing and crisp. The wings were sooo tender and flavorful, and they were super meaty, a hearty portion for a half dozen. The carbonara was a lot smaller than expected but fine with me because I finished it all there. There's plenty of regular table seating plus an outdoor covered back patio, but too chilly for me. This is a great spot nestled in the heart of NoDa, therefore expect to spend 10+ min looking for parking unfortunately! I would definitely come back! @azfitfoodfun

We had heard good things about this restaurant and were disappointed. We ordered the arancini and the marinated shrimp. At first they only brought out the arancini. We had to ask the waitress where the shrimp was as she seemed to have forgotten that we ordered the shrimp. The arancini were good and the shrimp were just OK. I got the goopy burger which was horrible. The bun completely fell apart and it was so overcooked. We had to ask our waitress 3 times for ketchup. My husband got the muscles and it was again just OK. The drinks were good and so was the peach cobbler.

First time here and it lived up to expectations. It must be newer because I'm always in the area and hadn't heard much about it. Food was INSANE. So delicious. I will say it's a bit pricey, but I'd consider it worth it. We got every item on the menu and not a single one was disappointing. The place is also super cute and large, but it did get a little loud. They have a massive outdoor area and a bar separate from dining, so lots of seating options. There were a few gnats that found their way inside and near us that got annoying but it was a beautiful day with the doors open, so that's natural. The waitress was super nice and knowledgeable - and it was her first week on the job! Impressive training for staff. Can't wait to go back!

This is one of my favorite go to spots. Whether outside or in - the menu and drinks are as perfect blend of eclectic flavors and style and traditional comfort and ingredients. Love this spot!!!!!! Also- one of the few places I've noticed with THC cocktails

My manager and coworkers took me to The Goodyear House for my birthday, and it was such a great experience! I currently live in the NoDa area, and this restaurant is right in the heart of it. If you're from Charlotte, you already know how cute and lively NoDa is, and The Goodyear House fits perfectly into that vibe. The restaurant itself is adorable. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor area is especially nice. There's an outdoor bar, plenty of tables, and even heaters to keep you warm if it's chilly. It's such a cozy and inviting space, definitely somewhere I'd go back to again. From what my coworkers told me, their menu is a bit limited and changes occasionally, but everything we ordered was good. We tried several appetizers including the fry bag (we got the garlic parmesan seasoning, which was delicious), some rice balls, and the shrimp appetizer. Everything came out quickly and fresh. For my main dish, I ordered the Goopy Burger. I'd give it a solid 7 out of 10. It was good and definitely worth trying. Everyone else got different dishes, and everyone seemed happy with their food. Our waitress was fantastic, super friendly, cute, and really made the experience enjoyable. The service overall was excellent. They even offered me a free dessert for my birthday, but I opted out, and instead, she brought me a complimentary glass of champagne, which I thought was such a nice touch. The only downside is the parking. There's no dedicated lot, just street parking. Some people park across the street at the YMCA, but I heard they charge through ParkMobile by license plate. If you're coming with a group, carpooling definitely makes things easier. Overall, The Goodyear House is a charming, cozy spot with great food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. Perfect for birthdays, casual dates, or just hanging out with friends. I'll definitely be back!

Cute spot in Noda. If the weather wasn't so hot, it would be really cute to dine outdoors. Our party of 9 had a nice table inside though the flies were really coming at us. Midway they gave us some of those automated fly swatters that helped a lot. To start, we ordered their crispy rice balls and marinated shrimp. The crispy rice balls were pretty good, a nice kick from the romesco. The marinated shrimp was also such a variety of flavors with butter, chili oil, and bay seasoned saltines. Really good. I had the No Rain cocktail but I didn't taste the alcohol at all though it was very refreshing in the humid weather. After that, I had glasses of their brut which was perfect. For my entree I went for the shrimp and grits as it's always a must for me when in the South. However, I didn't care for this version. Wasn't a fan of the tarragon or tomato sauce. I'm sure others like the change of it from your basic shrimp and grits, but it wasn't what I was looking for at all. Dessert I had to try the buttermilk panna cotta but it was too watery for me. Service was pretty good from beginning to end.

Took my man here for a night during queens feast and we loved the interior and had the most fantastic food! I LOVED the rice balls, seared cauliflower, and brownie dessert. Service was great even on a busy night, it was so cute inside as well!

We really enjoyed this restaurant tucked away in NODA. It's a perfect place for date night. There's vibes, good food, and service. Don't hesitate- check them out. Their fries were so good, I had to steal my husband's fries!

While visiting my son in Charlotte, we were heading to Noda for dinner. We had one place in mind, and on a whim, decided to stop by the Goodyear House to see what they had to offer. Great decision! There were plenty of good options on the menu and a beautiful setting to enjoy it in. What we ate: The garlic-parm shaken fry bag as an app. We both went with the Flounder as our main dish. Cooked to perfection! Our waiter, Nathan, was a trooper. He was walking around with a boot on his foot, but provided us service like being in the company of a friend. He was friendly and polite. A conversationalist who made us feel so welcomed and made our dining experience inviting. The setting/scenery: There is indoor and outdoor seating. From the entrance, you're not able to see how large the space is. There outdoor area is huge and provides the perfect backdrop for a wedding or other gathering. They have a greenhouse which is there closed off area for gatherings with a play area right behind it. The greenhouse reminded me of a farm-to-table gathering I'd seen before. Overall, The Goodyear House is a 10/10. Great if you're dining alone or with others. Definitely a spot I'll be visiting more often.

Our extended family group of 4 adults and 2 kiddos came in for brunch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We were seated outside under the massive pine tree at a picnic table. It's a great setting, both inside and out. Our server was very nice, welcoming and checked in on us regularly. The food was great as well! The SEC egg sandwich is fantastic! A great combo of eggs, meat, and a great sauce. The waffle was a soaked in syrup plate full. The shaken fry bag was a hit. The lil Goopy was plenty big for the 9-year old. The breakfast taquitos were delicious! Egg plates that a couple of diners got were also very good, and the sausage was a real fav. Definitely recommend brunch!!

    Is this restaurant expensive?

Very. With portions on the smaller side. At least $30-$35 a person.

    Is the patio dog friendly?

Yes, there were dogs outside in the more 'natural' side of the outdoors.

Review copied over from what I just posted on Google!…read more Had the best time dining here for restaurant week! I have been here a bunch but it's been a while and I decided the restaurant week deal was too good to pass up. The value for money is probably the best out of all restaurants participating. Everything we had to eat was phenomenal (meat and cheese, patatas bravas, croquettes, flank steak, cheesecake). Mainly writing this review because of the service - I joked with the sommelier (?) that you'd never know this is technically a "chain" because the experience is so intimate and feels local. Our hostess (so sorry can't remember her name) checked us in and let us grab a drink at the bar as we were early to our reservation. When my boyfriend went over to ask about the potential for getting a booth, because we're both very tall, she remembered his name and made it happen. Our server, Nick, was the best. So attentive without being too much, and timed each course perfectly so we weren't overwhelmed with food nor waiting around for the next dishes. Our sommelier (I think that's what it is) was also a delight to have around. The manager came over when we first got seated to give us water for the table, and I really appreciated seeing that as opposed to someone overseeing in the background. It's so nice to see a restaurant function efficiently without sacrificing personality and experience.

We arrived around 7:30pm and sat inside at the bar because it was raining but they do have a nice outdoor area too. This is definitely a fancier venue, dimly lit but still cozy and inviting. Service was prompt and friendly. We started with drinks - a gin cocktail for my friend and a wine flight (Hello, Old Friend) for me. We both enjoyed, enough to get a second round (I opted for a full glass of the sparkling wine from the first flight). For tapas, we shared the meatballs, salmon, and broccolini. The first plate came out very quickly, less than 5 minutes, and was piping hot. They were delicious and there was plenty of sauce leftover for dipping bread. The broccolini and salmon were done perfectly as well. Everything was super flavorful and it was just the right amount of food for us. A little pricier, but definitely worth every dollar- this is a great place for date night or a special/celebratory occasion. @azfitfoodfun

Katie and Hunter were both incredibly helpful, apologetic, and genuinely made an effort to make things right. Their positive attitudes and excellent customer service turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a great one. I'll definitely be returning, and I truly appreciate the way they handled the situation. Great service goes a long way!

10/10 -- highly recommend this place!…read more From the moment we walked in, we loved the atmosphere. The vibe was fun and welcoming, the food was outstanding, and our server went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and make recommendations. Our group tried the duck, steak, lengua, and carne asada tacos, and every single one was delicious. The duck taco was the standout for me--the crispy fried duck skin added the perfect texture and flavor. We also shared the Para la Mesa with sweet corn on the side, empanadas, and churros for dessert. The empanadas were incredible, especially with that amazing sauce that had just the right kick of spice. The wagyu steak from the Para la Mesa was another favorite, cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. And I can't forget to mention the warm, fresh tortillas--they were absolutely delicious and elevated every bite. Sometimes it's the little details that make a meal memorable, and these tortillas definitely did. If I had to pick my top three items, they would be the duck taco, the wagyu steak, and the empanadas. A special shoutout to our server (I wish I remembered his name!). He introduced us to mezcal tequila, which none of us had tried before, and it ended up being such a fun experience that made our evening even more memorable. Great food, great service, amazing drinks, and a fantastic atmosphere--we'll definitely be back!
