Haven't been in years. Didn't pick it. Went to lunch with some people. Sat on the patio. Very quiet. Only one other table occupied, but our food took an hour. Ordered the apple, blue cheese, salad with craisins and maple dressing. Was just OK. Always wonder why it's so difficult to make a great salad. Eh! 65

This place was amazing! It was the end of parents weekend and we had a great day and wanted a delightful dinner to complete the weekend and this place did not disappoint! We got to sit out back on a gorgeous September day. The patio is the perfect spot to enjoy dinner and our waitress Bree (like the cheese) was the bomb! The was friendly, knowledgeable and the best service we've had in a long time. Now to the food: Cran-Apple Blue Salad was fresh crunchy and tangy Bourbon Pork & Apples was was perfectly cooked and the Brussels The Three B's was out of this world! Check this place out when your in Lexington!

This evening was perfect to dine on their beautiful patio. The cocktails were perfection, and the GF Pizza was delicious. The bar in the back is cute. We will visit again.

Delightful eatery with charming atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service. Prices were also fantastic for Sunday brunch. Wife and I enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer, the "Create your own Frittata" with beer cheese grits and fruits for our main course, and each tried a mimosa and a Bloody Mary (house made mix). Will be visiting again very soon hopefully.

Shareable portions on the appetizers. Everything was very well seasoned & made with care. The gluten free pizza crust was thin & crispy and held together very well. I got the figgy blue and it was very tasty. Next time I would add a protein to it. Fried pickles & peppers was fun to eat & seasoned well -- the batter is on the thicker side. Great service & great spot for a group.

As we were passing through Lexington from Western KY to Columbus, Ohio, we decided to stop at The Goose for lunch on a Monday. The place was not crowded, and we were seated immediately. We also immediately noticed that the menu was quite different from the pictures of the menu on Yelp, and that the prices were quite a bit higher! We were hungry and decided to stay, however. My wife had soup and bread, which she says was fine but nothing special. I had the Cuban sandwich, which came with seasoned fries. The fries were very good, probably the best part of the meal. The sandwich was also quite good, but there was something missing compared to other Cubans I had eaten before. In general, the meal was good but not as great as I had hoped after seeing the prices on the menu. Will we stop again? Likely not. Once was enough for us.

Steady crowd around dinner time on Thurs night was a good sign. All 3 of us really liked what we got. Burger good; grilled chicken sandwich with herb roasted potatoes very good and no way a basic cheese pizza should've been that good but it was. That cheese blend y'all use is absolutely spot on. Don't change a thing. Can't wait to return. Macy was great.

The Goose is a great local spot for a casual meal and southern hospitality. 2 Bars- one in full AC, and one "indoor/outdoor" bar with fun barrel high tops and a view of the patio. Smoking & dog friendly patio = total Kentucky vibes. They also have a bourbon list that boasted nearly 100 varieties! I enjoyed sitting at a high top and drinking my classic vodka soda; my waiter/bartender, Tom, was attentive, warm and clearly busy though that didn't effect my service one bit. A veteran of a bartender, I presume. My vodka sodas were not for the faint of heart- I had to ask for more soda, and....well, that's saying something! A huge group seemed to be enjoying a casual celebration outside. I appreciated that the staff was professional yet friendly in a truly southern vibe. I ordered the "bruschetta bar" and choose a few different varieties for my bread and crackers. I selected Spinach/Artichoke, Italian Cheese, & Fig Preserves. The spinach and cheese paired so well together- I started mixing them! The fig Preserves were sweet and fresh, but I needed something to accompany that other than just bread. Apple slices would have hit the spot! This newly revamped restaurant seems to be a favorite among the locals. I'll definitely be returning to "The Goose" with my pups for a quality meal without the frills.

The place has good food and decent prices, but not the best location. Parking is an issue. The employees were friendly.

I sat at the bar and was ignored for about 15 minutes, even though they looked right at me. Finally one of the bartenders asked if I wanted food or drink, and I said just drinks. "I guess I can do that," he said, and then told me to move over to the other side of the bar to be closer to him (it was right by the door, so I got to experience cold rushes of air the whole time I sat there). Also during my time, a German cockroach skittered across the bar top. I thought maybe the bartender was just sullen, but he was very animated and interactive with the younger couple who came in after me. I had to flag him down for my second drink. Everything seemed like an imposition to him. The drinks were fine and well priced. But the drinks don't matter when the vibe is that bad. I got the check quickly and left.

I ordered the Cuban and the Patty Melt, both with fries. The Cuban was soooo good!! The bread is grilled and crispy, buttery and amazing. The pulled pork and ham were so flavorful and perfect with the melted cheese and pickles. I would 10/10 order this again. The patty melt was also great. They also have my favorite fries (similar to McDonalds style fries). I'm sad they will be closing at the end of the month. A wonderful dinner.

Georgie's only opened a couple of years ago and every friend I heard from that has gone raved about it. While bourbon is a longtime Kentucky treasure, the cocktail scene in downtown Lexington has only recently grown from a handful of weekend spots to a thriving business. On this particular occasion, my wife was at a banquet in the downtown Hyatt, so I took myself out for dinner and drinks at some new places. This was stop #3, and it was by far my favorite. I found a seat right at the bar and started looking over the extensive cocktail list. As I took in the atmosphere, I noticed several couches, a long bar, and some open area by the front. The bartender working while I was there was Jordan, who runs the bar as well as one of my favorite Lexington late night spots, Centro (another 5). And when I say he "runs" the bar, I mean it. He managed to make cocktails and keep the line moving mostly by himself while I was there. He recommended the Quiet Beatle, which I thoroughly enjoyed for a perfectly reasonable price. I got one more vodka soda when things calmed down a bit, and went on my way. There are little bites available, as well as an extensive cocktail and bourbon list. This is definitely a place you can meet a group of friends for happy hour or late night drinks, or have a nice date. I can't wait to come back!
