Went for lunch on St Patrick's day. They do it right - live music, Irish dancers, great food and service, amazing atmosphere & location. Had to wait a while for a table, but had time to kill before heading to the airport. Great service given the crowd on St Paddy's day. Loved the food!

Came here for lunch with my parents and enjoyed sitting on the balcony of the waterway! Beautiful view, fun ambience whether you choose the chill balcony patio or the traditional Irish pub inside it's got a place for you! (I peeped the fireplace that looks like it'd be amazing in the winter!) Service was great and the food was outstanding!! They had shepherds pie empanadas and I love a good food mashup so had to try it - they were so good we ordered another plate for the table to share!! SO GOOD! The flaky crunchy breading of the empanada was my favorite part! The potato leek soup and the potato nachos were also wonderful!

Came here for a company Christmas party and had a great time. The service was great and the food was very good! I loved the shepherds pie. We also had the brownie and toffee bread pudding which was absolutely amazing! This was such a nice treat and I would love to come back when I am in the Houston area. Many many options on the menu to chose from!

Stopped into The Goose's Acre before attending a concert down the walk to have a drink and a bit to eat. Was always curious about this place and I do love a good old fashioned Irish Pub. Not surprising, but they were busy when we walked in, but found a nice table in the bar and checked out the menu. They had an interesting selection of beer to choose from. Some craft beer and quite a few English/Irish pub style beers. This made me very happy. We ordered couple of Breckenridge Vanilla Porters and settled on a Classic Margherita Gourmet Pizza for dinner. Goose's Acre did have an Irish Pub atmosphere going with the high-backed booths, tall round tables and seating at the beautiful wooden bar. The service was very good, the choice of items on the menu was fabulous and we really enjoyed our pizza. Absolutely delicious. We returned several weeks later after an event to stop in for a late dinner and drink. The Comeback burger was great but the Parmesan fries could have used some more Parmesan, and the Birria Grill Cheese was absolutely delicious. Another great visit until about 10 pm when this nice little Irish Pub turned into a club with far too loud booming music and the clientele changed to a more questionable type that you would not see in an Irish Pub. This has changed our minds about Goose's Acre. It is great during the day but once you hit 9 or 10 pm the atmosphere becomes really, really questionable.

Ambiance: Irish pub located off The Woodlands waterway offering patio seating/views of the waterway as well as indoor dining & bar seating. Great spot for groups, celebrations, or just enjoying a pint solo at the bar. I've been coming to Goose's off and on for about 4 years now and the food/drinks/vibes are always on point! They host a lot of weekly events like run club and trivia. Their food is amazing and I highly recommend the chicken friend chicken. Decent beer and cocktail selection. The service is always fast and friendly. Street & garage parking available nearby. Walking distance to several other shops/restaurants/bars. Perfect spot for bar hopping or grabbing a quick bite.

To be honest, I was not expecting much except an overpriced waterway restaurant. Man was I surprised. On Wednesdays they have half priced burgers and happy hour drinks specials. My burger was absolutely amazing. And they had some of the best garlic Parmesan fries I've ever had. The weather was nice. The patio was fun with live music overlooking the waterway. We had really lovely service as well. I hope to be back in the area and visit soon.

Their one and only bread pudding. Yum!

Excellent food! It is all very good. There are vegetarian and fish options. My favorite is the short ribs, the shepards pie, the draft beers and the bread pudding! Sundays they run a Brunch menu, andnlive music. Its the best!

This place is just so fun to look at. The patio is nice, and the inside is great too for those hot summer days. Our service was quick and everyone was overall polite. I ordered soup and salad. Their ranch is delicious. The salad was really fresh and the potato leek soup was flavorful. The short rib poutine was really good. It has a great flavor profile.

First time coming here even though I have passed it many times going to Bar Louie or Rose. It's a pub with typical pub like decor. We sat at the bar our waiter was great very attentive. I ordered a cosmo then a Jameson and ginger ale both were great. My husband ordered a beer, there was a variety to choose from. For food we ordered buffalo wings and the Irish nachos were yummy too! They give you big portions for wings which I liked. This is a great chill place to grab a drink and some good bar food. Our meal came out to less than $60.

A group of friends and I were out walking the Waterway and were hungry and tired so we went in and were quickly seated. We had a great server who took our orders and soon we were eating some really nice food and also putting down some nice beers. The atmosphere here is nice, it's a bit on the dark side indoors but it has a real gastro pub kind of theme. Food is overall good, everything our group got was hot and tasty. No complaints. By the way, restrooms were spic and span, and that says a lot!

Had a reservation in the snug on a chilly winter night. The front door opening and the cold wind blowing in caused the thermostat to read that It was really cold in the restaurant which made the heat blast in the back where we were. My guests and I were on fire and it was extremely uncomfortable and unenjoyable. The server claimed there was nothing she could do until we finally asked for a manager. Luckily, the manager was responsive and did make adjustments to the thermostat which made the experience less miserable. The food was average at best. The Irish nachos were pretty good but a very basic food. The buffalo cauliflower was also pretty good but oily and vinegary. When I called to make the reservation, the staff who answered the phone were extremely helpful and detailed which was probably the best part of the experience.

Popped in with my son for a late lunch. He has the chicken fried chicken with green beans. I had the half price Shepherds Pie. (I'm always looking for a great special) it certainly did not disappoint. Jack, my pickiest eater, was not disappointed either. We enjoyed our meal in a cozy booth near the faux fireplace and looking out the windows to the nice patio and well taken care of plants. Our server was a delight. I wish I could remember her name. She made great recommendations and was super friendly.

Brunch Buffet is not to be missed!

Absolutely, the best value to be had for Easter brunch in the Woodlands! The Hilton wants $99.95, Jimmy Buffet will seat you for 69.95, my Irish friends will fill you with delicious grub for 39.95 and kids eat free! The food is of similar quality, so this is more of a gift to the community, maybe a sacred act. My wallet thanks you. This looks like a small cafe from the street, but it is actually huge, it rambles back and downstairs, with two bars. The kitchen is on the lower (waterfront) level. This is now a favorite place of mine. I will be back.

St Patrick's day was excellent there. Waiter was Gaven and he was the best. I had a Rueben which was delicious. Can't wait to return.

It says masks required on the Yelp page but a reviewer mentions a server with no mask. Looking for a lunch spot next week when we are in town, wanting outdoor dining with servers in masks. What is the policy?

    I go there often, haven't seen a server without a mask yet...🤷🏼‍♂️

    1. Where do we park?

There's paid parking lot accords the bridge adjacent to Goose's acre. It's 5 dollars to park.

Steak night starts at 7, which means that's when they start taking orders. If you want to beat the rush, you should already be in your seat by 6:30-6:45. It's a two-man show on steak night. The husband is outside grilling everything on what looks like a standard home grill while the wife is taking orders. Orders go out in batches. They're definitely efficient and work as fast as they can, but with that comes a little abruptness- they aren't the friendliest, but they're focused on getting everyone fed. We got there at 7:05 and didn't get our food until 8:25. Was the wait worth it? Absolutely. The steak was tender and juicy. The lamb chop was charred perfectly. And surprisingly enough, the sausage was my favorite. It was JUICY. When you bite into it, the juices literally burst out. Something had a little kick to it... it wasn't the sauce, but I actually liked it. The jalapeño cheddar mashed potatoes were also great.

For my side, I get the mashed potatoes. The lamb chops are the absolute best I've ever had! So tender, juicy, and smoky. All their sauces are so good too and compliments the meat perfectly! If you can't handle spice, I'd recommend just sticking to their ninja sauce though. The pineapple and mashed potatoes provide a nice break from all the meat as well.
