Make up your mind ..is the kitchen open or closed ? Sometimes it is sometimes it isn't ...and no rhyme or reason as to when or why. Ownership seems to have thrown in the towel on caring. Staff is friendly drinks are cheap. TVs are fine they have all the games. But customers constantly walking in and looking for food to be told kitchen is closed. Place has potential but seems to be little management or continuity. It's a shame. Potential out the wazoo but decision makers seem to not care or want to work. Gotta love the Irish. Fantastic little Irish Pub/Dive Bar hidden in Lakeway. Went here for St. Patty's day and was not disappointed.

So now that I've been in TX for 3 years, I'm now a regular here. Staff at the bar are still great-- Alicia (gorgeous blonde) & Chandler are my favorite . Inta (not Russian) is a very hard working owner who I consistently see going above and beyond. During the holidays (starting Halloween) the place is nicely decorated. Has great seasonal themed parties! Karaoke night's on Wednesday (Dan's my favorite) and Friday's. Drinks are reasonably priced given it's Lakeway. I do miss our old KJ's (Marrissa and Jon) on Friday nights. Sometimes we get young kids trying to get in for under age drinking/ fake id's. That's normally caught right away by staff or us the regulars, as we don't like kids coming in and let's say not being able to handle their alcohol. This place is Ike our very own CHEERS. Today I had to try the shepherd's pie on the menu and you and boy I was very surprised how good and well made this was. I really enjoyed the fact of the way the way the recipe they used is very authentic very similar to Ireland Arland the way they make it in Dublin which I'm very familiar with. So if you want a really good shepherd's pie you need to try it here the only difference is they don't make it with lamb they make it with ground beef which is even more tasty. I highly recommend this location it's in a corner it's really cute and they have very nice people that you must meet very personable and a very fun dive bar is what I consider in this area.. I also recommend trecommend the bar drinks and and the other menu items items they're improving their property and will be done very soon. Based on the great advertisement on-line for this place, drove with family and friends all the way from Dripping Springs to watch Nascar and eat fish and chips in this "Irish sports bar". Arrived to find a pleasant place with the bar area full of late Sunday afternoon regulars. No one else there. They were out of most of the on-tap beers with the bar tender trying to get carbonation sorted out on one of the few beers they had. My wife wanted a Chardonnay from a long listing of wine they had - they only had one bottle of white at all. We ordered food - no fish and chips or most of the other foods on the on-line menu. Settled for Shepard's pie after we order Bangers and Mash that never came (only to find out an hour later they don't serve Bangers and Mash). The Shepard's pie came and looked like strained Beefy Campbell's soup wedged between 2 scoops of HEB microwaved mash potatoes. We asked the bartender to turn on the Nascar race with the many TVs in the bar. He was only permitted to change the channel on one of the TVs in the dining room as to "not disturb the locals." So, we sat with drinks that were not wanted, some attempt at looks nothing like Shepard's pie, and trying to watch a muted TV with the race while the locals at the bar swapped loser lies on a Sunday afternoon. My wife decides to download the app and play juke box. She loads $20 of credits and picks out all the songs. As the music starts, the volume was instantly turned down. We inquired and the volume was returned to a reasonable, listening level. Soon the volume went almost off - again inquiring, we see that one of the locals at the bar had control of the volume via a remote. The locals evidently didn't like the songs or volume as it probably interfered with their great live stories that were being swapped. The young bartender told us to call the company of the juke box for a refund. At this point, we'd had enough. A couple yells/screams at the locals and we were gone. This place is a joke compared to the great advertising from their website. Highly recommend that you pay for overpriced beer and food that isn't advertise elsewhere - at least the atmosphere might be better! read more

Hell, I don't even know where to begin. Do I begin with the tatted blonde who COMPLETELY ignored us? Who, after 5-10 minutes and a quick bite at the, what I can only assume was the owner's table, finally had to be told by one of the boozing brunette management staff that we needed to be waited on. Or, should I begin with the Rueben sandwich that had 4-5 THINLY cut slices of what I hope was corned beef, but I doubt it. It looked like grilled salami. Topped with 1000 island dressing and about five cups of sauerkraut. Nicely served with a freshly opened bag of store brand kettle chips and very limp, very soft pickle for $10.95. Or, maybe I can talk about the lack of service of the tatted blonde who never visited the table to refill drinks or ask if I wanted another cooled-temperature beer. I give her credit, she did say it was bar-service. It would be a hell of a place for a bar if the bartender actually served you. Unless you look like one of them don't come here! Went to this place for a drink with my family it took the vile bartender a LONG time just to serve us. The ugly old lady bartender asked for id's which we provided as my sister gave me her ID to hold the bartender aggressively says "I saw her give you an ID" I then showed her the id's to show her that the id's were ours she then started getting mouthy with me FOR NO REASON 1. You're a bartender act your wage 2.1 truly believe she didn't want us there because of our ethnicity. She has NO BUSINESS acting the way she did. Cheap beer, friendly owners, welcoming environment. What more does a pub need? They take it to the next level with fun special events like karaoke nights and live music. Plus they have NFL Sunday Ticket! This is where to go for all of the games. The place is quaint, clean, and well-maintained. We chatted with the owners, as well as several regulars and other patrons. It is doing the local feel very well. They do serve food, but the menu is small. My parents had Reuben sandwiches and said they were terrific. Vegan fare was chips and salsa, but we were there for drinks. They have some rockin drink specials, too - Wednesday had $3 house wines and on game day it was $2.50 domestic drafts. 4.5 STARS! This pub is pretty sweet. They had live music when we walked in Saturday night and the bar was packed! They needed one more bartender but the two they had were well trained and knew how to run around their orders with ease. The two bartenders were very helpful and they knew their whiskey options. The back of the bar includes a room with a pool table, shuffle board and two dart boards. If you enjoy Golden Tee they have that too along with a back patio for smoking. The back room is kinda small but our group of six did just fine. I'd recommend coming on a slower night if you want super fast service but if you just want to chill through 1am them this is the place in Lakeway. read more

Star One : Location. Tucked deep in the back corner of a multi-establishment strip mall, there's ample parking for this hidden gem of a pub. Star Two : Ambiance. Ample elevated TV sets, a rectangular bar with plenty of seating and decor to provide the sense of being in a hybrid environment of Ireland and Texas. Star Three : Service. Prompt seating for a large party and immediate accepting of drink orders by friendly faces with confirmation repeating back of each selection in order to confirm the precision of their serving. Star Four : Beverages. Should one have even a drop of Eire in them, then this place has the best pint pour of Guinness in the city, arguably throughout the whole state and the cocktails seemed to satisfy as well. Star Five : Food. Perhaps the biggest surprise of all is that a "pub" would take their cuisine so seriously as everything from the wings to the frito pie was super savory and worthy of seconds. Should you ever find yourself in this part of town with a hunger in your belly, a wanting on your palate for some decent drink and desire for entertainment, then allow me to highly suggest a trip to LT's on a Friday night when you can follow up your back room pool, dart and shuffleboard playing with a little karaoke. If we ever wander back into the area, then we'll definitely visit again if for no other reason the perfect pour of the Guinness pint. Wow! We walked in for a drink after an event. We walked up to the bar to order. The bartender overlooked us and waited on a patron that had been partying with friends. He ordered about 4 drinks so we waited patiently since she was the only bartender and didn't have a barback. When she was done, she went to every one at the bar EXCEPT US, and asked if they were ok and then went to picking up empty glasses. She never said hi, would you like anything or acknowledged us at all! Do NOT waste your time going here unless you're a regular! WTH!! Update: I cannot speak more highly of the owner of this establishment. He reached out to me through here and by email to make things right right away! He was so kind and friendly. I look forward to meeting him and shaking his hand. My husband and I will be going back on in the next few days and I will be sure to update you all on our second visit. I have updated the 1 star to 4, because of the effort Bill made. If we have a fantastic experience, I will update it to 5. :) Holy buckets!!! This place is the JAM! I'm not just saying this. What a find! I stumbled on this place and so glad we did. We will definitely be going back. This bar is clean (no smoke smell), very friendly bartender. The owners were both there and also were very friendly and introduced themselves. My husband got fish and chips and I got a Reuben with fries. We both LOVED our food. The Reuben was lean meat, hearty portion and delicious. My husband was talking about his fish and chips for an hour after we left how good it was and he can't wait to go back and try the nachos. Only giving this place 1 star for the excellent food/kitchen staff. I would give them only 5 stars. The customer service for the front of the house would be no stars. We had to ask for menus after sitting for about 5-7 mins since no one came over. Then we sat there another 10 and we decided to order food to go. After a few days, I checked my account and this place over charged my card by $30. Someone gave themselves an underserved tip. When I did a conference call with one of the owners and my bank, Michael asked me to email him and so I did. He never responded to my email. We saw an advertisement for this pub in the Community Impact Newspaper so tonight decided to go in with our adult children and have a drink and a sandwich. We walked in and everyone at the bar turned around and just looked at us including the bartender. We stood for a few seconds because we weren't sure if we should seat ourselves or not and then decided to just sit at a table. We sat for a few minutes, looked at the menu and no one made any kind of contact with us so we got up and left. I'm not sure why the owner would advertise this place if it's just for a clique of locals. Do yourself a favor and walk down to The League Kitchen and Tavern. We've been coming to this pub for the last few months and have LOVED it. The bartenders are always super friendly and prompt with their service and the food is straight from heaven. When sitting at a table it's important to remember that the bartenders are swamped with the face to face requests from the patrons at the bar so I recommend just getting up to place your orders and then heading back to the table like we did. I spent last night there for my 23rd birthday and Jenna was super friendly and made me feel extra special. We are now lifetime regulars :) read more
