Good atmosphere. Prices were food for the amount of food that I got. I would eat here again. Had the Redfish sandwich.

BEST PHO SOUP IN AUSTIN!!! I've been living here for 10…read moreyears and tucked away in the back of The Village at Westlake, is a FABULOUS PHO VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT CALLED LEE'S. I had no idea it was even here and I LOVE PHO. I've been under the weather with horrible allergies and I was craving a great bowl of Pho Soup, so I finally Googled "Pho in Westlake, and Lee's came up. So I called up, ordered and drove over. The ambiance is super cute and clean. THIS SOUP BLEW MY MIND!!! This soup blew anything out of the water that I have tasted in Vietnam. Healthy and hardy portion. We started off with the spring rolls. These were the freshest Spring rolls I have ever tasted, and the sauce was incredible. Then we moved onto the 1 Beef Pho and 1 Vegetable Pho that we ordered. I put some beef in the Vegetable Pho, and it tasted phenomenal. As well, I wanted to add that I don't even like tofu, but the tofu that was in the soup was so fresh and spongy. Nothing like you've ever tasted, in a fabulous, unexpected but tasty way. THE BEEF BROTH WAS AMAZING!!! EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE!!! MY NEW GO TO PHO PLACE!!! Shout out to Brittany and your take out crew/staff........for being Extremely hospitable and inviting. ONLY SUGGESTION-I've been in marketing & sales, the restaurant industry, and the hospitality industry for over 32 YEARS. Now I'm in Corporate Real Estate. I've travelled the whole world and what I am telling you is that YOU HAVE THE BEST PHO SOUP I'VE EVER TASTED.......AND I HAD NO IDEA YOU WERE EVEN THERE!!! (and I've been in Westlake for 10 years, and I drive into that parking lot, minimally 3 times a day, for one reason or another). Why is this? How come I didn't know you were there?......Besides the fact that I never googled "Pho Westlake". I'll tell you why......from my experience and expertise, it because of your signage and name. With the name "Lee's Kitchen and Cocktails", I thought you were just another Chinese restaurant, and were loyalists to Chinatown Westlake. Which leads me back to how can we fix this, and generate you more business?! I'll tell you how you do it....I like your name, but I would have your signage company make a BIG black and white, LARGE sign in Italic, that says "PHO". Then have a bowl of soup with chopsticks coming out of it. But minimally a LARGE "PHO" in writing. I'd place it to the right of LEE'S Kitchen and Cocktails. That way every one will know what you serve, when they look at your name. Then I would go on all your social media platforms and ADD "PHO" to your name. Either LEE'S PHO-Kitchen + Cocktails, or something to that effect. LEE'S Kitchen + Cocktails-PHO. Had I seen this on the wall for the last 10 years, 3 times a day, I WOULD HAVE STOPPED, COME IN, AND BEEN YOUR CUSTOMER FOR THE LAST 2 PLUS YEARS. Please take my suggestion to heart and I can't wait to see your business thrive, even more than it already is. With love, Joanne and family

Overall: 3.9/5 [delivery]…read more We always order from Lee's Kitchen and Cocktails whenever we are craving hainan chicken on UberEats. It is on the pricier side compared to other Vietnamese restaurants so it is not something we get too often. Hainan Chicken ($25): Really good and feels like a healthier option. Make sure you use all of the sauce though because that is where the flavor is. It also comes with a broth that is so good we just drank it straight. Honestly better than the pho broth. Chicken Pho with Beef Broth ($23): The shredded chicken was overcooked and the broth was just alright. The portion was generous though.

After toying around with a number of selections we ended up at The Grove on Bee Caves (very close to the Yelp event). The Grove have multiple locations around town including one Cedar Park and on Spicewood Springs Road. The venue is quite beautiful on the outside patio with clear Christmas lights strung strategically through the trees. We opted for the warmth of seating inside. Interestingly, 3 of us ordered bruschetta boards, whereas one Yelp friend ordered a healthy salad (good for her!) I ordered the salmon, Italian sausage and pear with fig boards. I was only able to eat two. I also had a glass of prosecco and half of a glass my friend could not drink. A couple of friends had wine flights. Both the food and drink was very satisfying. John, our server, was pleasant and attentive. It was fun catching up while dining at The Grove.

This is the third time I have come here and the food was awful. The bruschetta has gone from being an amazing array of tastes to this sad Soviet Union dish. The goat cheese was a sad amount, the salmon was sparse and salty like gefilte, the prosciutto looked grey. My crispy chicken sandwich was uninspired, cold and tasted like I was eating out of a food truck during my lunch break. My friends sandwich was Cuban and was soggy and wet and cold the meat looked gray. Last time I was here I ordered a pizza the crust was wet and soaked with grease. This is not a cheap fast food place so then the question we have to answer is why is the food served like this and what can be done to rescue this staple of the west lake hills. Please fix this. You are breaking our hearts.

Once we got there, the grounds were absolutely beautiful and really made the experience feel special and relaxing. There are lovely waterfall/pond features. There was surprisingly a lot of choices to sit: picnic tables, tables for two etc. There are plenty was water stations and cups are provided. We enjoyed food from DeeDee's, which was delicious, and the horchata drink was especially good that we grabbed from inside the main building. I got the tofu stir fry. It was a decent amount of food and the right amount of spice. There was enough food to fill a hungry belly and just enough to leave some to have leftovers. The horchata drink filled us up so my friend and I both had leftovers! I'd like to come back early morning and enjoy a book and some coffee. I hope there's not a crowd midweek. I know the weekends can be crowded. ****So, I'm back. It's less than 24 hours later and here I am. ;) It's my goal each day to do at least 30 minutes of reading. I grabbed an espresso and a muffin. It was just over $10 for my treats FYI. I don't often come out for breakfast so I don't know if that's high or low. The inside space looked like a public office space. Each table had a person hooked up to their computer click-clacking away. It's a much different vibe than the trivia night last night. If you want an inside work space, I suggest you get there early. I grabbed an Adirondack chair near the water to enjoy my morning ritual. The space is filled with a diverse group of people: friends having coffee, families with young kids, and the business folks. I almost regret my muffin as I'm seeing many Veracruz tacos going by and they look delicious. I'm also seeing many folks coming in to grab tacos to go. Lucky me to live right down the road from this beautiful space. Perhaps next time I'll walk down with my book and get my 30 minutes of cardio done at the same time! ;)

It's a surprising but unassuming melting pot of Austinites of every stripe that's open 7 days a week, rain or shine, and most (if not all) holidays. No frills. No nonsense. They take happy hour very seriously with their Mon-Thurs 12-1 (??) and 7-8 options. The beer is cold and comes in mugs, mini-pitchers, and pitcher-pitchers -- and all for the cheapest price in Austin. They also have liquor and mixers ...and technically wine (if you dare) but I don't know that anyone's ordered wine here in the last 50 years. I'm tempted to ask just for giggles but risk, of course, being thrown out by one of their friendliest or surliest bartenders. It really is a choose your own adventure type of place.

I've gotta sidestep and mention that it reminds me of a favorite dive bar in Pittsburgh where I'm originally from. We like to visit after a day at Deep Eddy Pool and lunch at Pool Burger. We end our day here with Shiner drafts served in perfectly frosted beer mugs. This old-school joint attracts patrons of all ages (21+) and backgrounds. Neighborhood regulars, folks from across town (like us), and tourists. It's that place where you pick up conversation with total strangers and feel like you've made lifelong friends even if you never see them again. The bartenders are great. They actually take the time to chat, ask about your day, what you've done up to that point in the day, etc. The bar is embodied in the kitschy decor you'd expect to find at this type of watering hole. Lots of cool things for the human eye to take in. The prices are insanely affordable. $4 for a Shiner draft! Though I've never actually made it, happy hour is Mon-Thurs 12-1 pm and 7-8 pm. Final note, the bathrooms are super clean!

The energy inside was great, the decor is beautiful, and the whole space gives off 1920s Great Gatsby vibes. The bar scene looked lively, and plenty of guests seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were offered seating on one of the couches near the entrance but chose a more private table instead. Our server was pleasant and kind, though he appeared new. A few small things were missed. Our appetizer plates sat on the table for about 15 to 20 minutes before being cleared, and fresh utensils were not brought out. The wait time for drinks, appetizers, and our main courses was quite long. It felt like we were there close to two hours, with about 30 to 45 minutes between each course. I arrived starving, and unfortunately the long waits made me cranky and impatient and started to affect my appetite. When our drinks finally arrived, I ordered the seasonal apple cider margarita. I was hoping it would be festive and delicious, but it turned out to be very tangy and bitter and not quite the cozy, fall-inspired drink I had expected. My husband and brother did enjoy their drinks, though. The pork belly appetizer, which came highly recommended, was a mixed experience. I would give it a 10 out of 10 for flavor but a 5 out of 10 for texture. The burnt end was extremely tough to cut through, even with effort, and my knife was not strong enough. While it did taste good, it was not the most tender pork belly I have had. I have had versions that truly melt in your mouth, and this one was much chewier. The fried shrimp appetizer was a solid 7 out of 10. It tasted good, but it did not stand out or wow me. The presentation set higher expectations for the flavor than what came through, and the sauce did not feel particularly unique. For my entree, I ordered the hamburger. It was good and well prepared, but nothing especially memorable, just a solid, classic burger. My brother ordered the fish sandwich and absolutely loved his. We had the chance to speak with the owner, who was very kind and friendly. He is clearly passionate about his restaurant and genuinely wants to continue making it better, which I truly appreciate. I am glad we finally made it in to try The Gramercy. Overall, I would be willing to come back. I think it would be a great spot for weekday drinks, appetizers, or brunch, especially during a busy work week. And I love that it is open late until 12 a.m., which is not very common in Lakeway.
