We got there on a Saturday before opening and sat in the outdoor seating area out front. They open at 9am and opened right on the dot. The lady working there was so kind and offered to turn on the fireplace for us. The inside was super cute and cozy, with a French-inspired café vibe. You grab your own silverware and they also have hot sauce out for anyone to take. There are quite a lot of choices, so it was hard to choose just one. I ordered the ham & cheese crepe ($13) and my friend ordered the apple cinnamon & brown butter crepe ($8). We waited about 8-10 minutes, and both were really delicious! The ham & cheese was warm, savory, and super yummy for a morning breakfast meal. The apple cinnamon & brown butter crepe is a perfect choice for any sweet tooth lovers. The serving size is easily shareable too. As someone who rarely eats crepes, the savory one really hit the spot. When I come back, I'm definitely ready to try more varieties...maybe with a friend or two so we can sample a few different kinds

For me what real sold this place is their outdoor fire pit and ample amounts of casual seating. Perfect for shopping and eating. Will be coming back. Loved the ham and cheese crepe and the cinnamon crepe. Next visit I want to try one of the lemon ones!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with big smiles and a genuine "welcome" that you just don't find everywhere. The staff was incredibly patient as we sampled flavors, which was much appreciated! What really sets this place apart, though, is the atmosphere. It's so much more than just an ice cream shop. They have these awesome kid-oriented art activities that kept my little ones busy and creative, plus free arcade games that brought back some serious nostalgia for the adults. It's the perfect spot to actually relax while the kids have a blast. I have to obviously mention the most important part: the ice cream. It is phenomenal. They've developed their own recipes and you can tell they put a lot of thought into them. The ube is a must try! It's vibrant, earthy, and sweet--hands down the best ube ice cream I've had in the city. And I have to shout out the cookie dough - this isn't your standard grocery store version. The dough chunks are huge and have a unique, homemade taste that pairs perfectly with the base. If you're looking for a family-friendly spot with an amazing vibe and even better treats, this is it. We will definitely be back!

Ice cream is fine but mill valley swirl is much better. I think they got new ownership somewhat recently and this is a classic play to just milk the customer base (pun intended). I get that running a small business is hard but this is highway robbery on a product with 90%+ gross margins.

Locals with their dogs walk here, and mingle with the out-of-towners, hikers, and bicyclists who all enjoy a quality cup of coffee or other drink, paired with fancy pastries or select lunch items. Their seasonal drink menu is always worth a try; turmeric or matcha or cacao are always a good match with the Equator-roasted beans, purchased and shipped direct from sustainable and family farms. There is select seating inside, additional benches outside, and an abundance of seating across the street at the Depot, where summer music festivals and farmers market booths are known to occasion. Arrive for the delicious coffee, stay for the chill vibes. ‍

We chose to sit outside, which was perfect for relaxing and people-watching while enjoying the charming downtown atmosphere. The coffee was excellent--fresh, high quality, and expertly prepared. Unfortunately, they had already sold out of their almond croissants, which only confirmed our suspicion that they must be very popular! We'll definitely have to come back and try one next time. Instead, we ordered the BLT with avocado, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was fresh, the bacon was flavorful, and the combination of lettuce, tomato, and avocado made for a simple but outstanding sandwich. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Everything seemed to run very smoothly, which speaks to a well-organized operation. If you're looking for great coffee, delicious food, and a pleasant place to sit and enjoy Mill Valley, I highly recommend Equator Coffees.
