Just had a disappointing experience at brunch. Sadly, because we really like this restaurant. We have only been here twice and it was a tale of two different places. The first experience was a 5 star visit for sure. However this time was barely a 2 star. Several of the dishes were not prepared well. Raw egg on the inside of one dish, room temp food on another dish and a 2 hour wait after our order to receive the food. Most of the the staff is very friendly but our server today must have been having a bad day and decided to share her experience. I hope they can get back to the 5 star experience that we had the first time. To their defense they comped one meal but if I were the manager I would have comped the table. We will definitely be back but I hope this visit was the outlier and not the norm. Hopefully this finds management and they fix whatever happened today. read more

We went to the charming but pricey Grange restaurant on the spur of the moment. We should have let the moment pass. Our party was three adults and one child. We ordered a grilled cheese sandwich ($9!) for the child: bread was dry, the cheese barely there. That seemed to set the tone for our other dishes: Manila clams and mussels ($18) and Brick chicken ($19), both billed as "shareable large plates" -- NOT!! Portions not even "large" enough for one person! Same for the tempura-fried cod ($15), which was well prepared but a dinky portion. The roasted beet salad ($15!!) was a handful of undistinguished pickled beets and some lettuce. There service was nice but slow and dishes seem to come out randomly. I could go on but suffice it to say, the Grange is a ripoff in an attractive package. read more

Went here last night and had a wonderful dinner with some friends. All the food was excellent. We ordered so much. We had the mussels, pizza, pork belly, little gem salad, beets and burrata and too much other to remember. Everything was expertly prepared and the wait staff was quick and efficient. The drinks selection was pretty good if small but well curated. They have a nice outdoor patio when the weather is nice and lots of room to stretch your legs. There is an open kitchen and a wood fired oven. The only downsides were the noise level is quite high with all the hard surfaces and the bench that runs along the wall is hard too. Sitting on it for a couple of hours left my butt numb. I'm sure we'll be back. On busy nights be prepared to wait since they don't take reservations except for parties of 6 or more. read more

The Grange is a wonderful place. We regularly travel to Duvall to eat there. It has a fun and relaxing atmosphere both inside and on the patio. The farm-to-table, locally grown food is incredibly delicious. On our last visit, we had the wild mushroom wood-fired pizza which was fantastic. The staff were all kind, attentive, and helpful. We stocked up on items from the pantry - amazing sauces and pastries. read more

The new Grange is so fabulous that we had to go two nights in a row! The chicken under a brick is so crispy and juicy that we were fighting over the last piece. The restaurant feels like you have been invited to a farmer's table and, with the owners being farmers, that's exactly what it is. The bartender serves generous pours and all the staff were extremely personable. We can't wait to go again! read more

Our first visit left us a underwhelmed. Breakfast was OK, but the low rating is the result of poor service. Our order took 45 minutes to arrive. Our waiter stopped by one time to explain that there was a WiFi glitch and orders were delayed. Tables that were seated after us were served and finished before we got our order. I get that things can happen, but our waiter went MIA on us. No offer of "I'm sorry for the delay, the coffee is on us." or something close. Food quality was so so. My wife liked the french toast. My scrambled eggs arrived barely warm and clearly had been sitting for a while. The coffee is good. The interior is casual and appealing. Family friendly. read more

This restaurant was recently reopened and it's amazing. Decor looks straight out of Fixer Upper, cuisine is local and seasonal, and the service is exceptional. Everyone that works there is very nice and accommodating it almost feels like you're at home. I have spent the last six year living in Brooklyn, NY and recently moved to the Seattle area. I expected that pizza would be one of my biggest concessions moving west, but as it turns out The Grange's pizza is at or better quality than my favorite Neapolitan-style pizza place in Brooklyn. In addition to the "fundamentals" being great (pizza is, first and foremost, the dough) the farm direct veggies put this food over the top. I've not only had the best Neapolitan-style pizza in Washington state, but some of the best composed vegetable dishes. read more

Very nice ambiance, love the clean, farmhouse finishes and decor. They use locally sourced ingredients...farm-to-table. Luke, the owner, is awesome and very friendly as are all of the servers. The only suggestion I would offer is to bulk up the menu items and start introducing craft cocktails. That would rock! read more

3 of us when to the Grange Saturday evening 11/17. I had the sausage pizza and while it was pretty good and the crust was above average, it had very little sausage on it. My big complaint though was that the seating was WAY too close together. I don't really want to eat elbow to elbow with strangers and at one point it was apparent that the woman next to us was listening in to our conversation and we had to stop talking. Another minus is the very limited menu compared to before. We were all fans of the Grange before they remodeled and we're all very disappointed in the new format. We won't be back. read more

I've loved this place for so many years and the new digs are excellent. They keep the organic community feel, but polished it up. Grateful to have this gem in the valley. Great for a night out of drinks and apps with friends, or dinner with the family. It's so welcoming! read more

After the first time we came here for dinner, we decided we would come at least once a week because the food is fabulous, the staff is attentive and kind, and atmosphere is casual and yet it still feels special. At least one of the owners is usually on site if you have any questions (or compliments!) to share. The only thing I can think of to help them improve is putting the delicious donut holes back on the dessert menu! They were delicious, but unfortunately did not appear on the fall menu. I'm sure the other desserts are tasty, but I can't stop thinking about their donuts. Also we generally go there at peak times, and the wait has never been unreasonable, especially if you are willing to sit at the bar in front of the warm pizza oven and watch Joe make pizza :) read more

We love this restaurant. We have yet to have a bad meal. The service is warm, conversational and many of the wait staff we've met actually work at or own local farms. The ambiance is cozy but stylish. They've done a great job maintaining the unique look and history of the old Silver Spoon building. Our very favorite meal is the mushroom pizza, sourced from a local mushroom farmer. We also love the pork chops, and the brick pressed chicken. Fish and chips are fried of course- but tasty. Breakfast is good as well, a little pricey, but mostly organic. The cinnamon roll is flakey, like a croissant and so good! We prefer to do dinner just because it's phenomenal!! read more

We have just started venturing out to restaurants again and were lucky enough to score a table on the cute little patio. It was a little breezy but lovely day. The coffe was good and served quickly and refilled well. Two of us ordered the eggs benedict with bacon (we changed the order to the bacon) and one of us had gravy and biscuits. The food took a very long time but was delicious when it did come. My daughter loved the eggs benedict even though only one of the eggs was runny on each of our plates. At $19 a plate, it would have been nice if both had been. They were also served with cayenne sprinkled over the top which only one of us liked. The biscuits and gravy looked amazing and tasted delicous as well. At $10 it was a bargain. All in all the service was great and friendly but food was slow to come out. It was delicious but needs to speed up. I look forward to having brunch again at the Grange. read more

What a disappointment! The brunch menu is basic and not inspiring (pancakes, burger, chicken sandwich). The restaurant was not full, but we waited an hour for our food. When we asked about our order, we were told that the kitchen was "slammed" with a party of twelve diners. Really?? The server and manager were indifferent and unapologetic when asked about our meal. They gave the impression that this is a common occurrence. We had to take our food to go due to the delay of service. Even then, my order was missing half of what I requested. This was not the Grange's best day. I hope other diners have a better experience. read more

This revamped restaurant is under new ownership with a fresh farm to table approach. I've eaten here a number of times and every dish is fantastic! Great prices and great simple delicious food. The chicken under a brick is amazing, the pork belly is amazing, the salads are amazing, their drinks from the bar are amazing! It's all really well presented and great care is in every detail. I've asked so many times in person, customer, but my requests don't seem to be getting throughly management. So I will request this in a public forum. Can you please add an option to your menu in which we can add protein to our salads. There are people with dietary restrictions and your menu is very limited in that sense. Every time I order a protein with my salad I am told I need to order the chicken brink. So way then suddenly have a 35 salad. Not an acceptable solution. Honestly, every restaurant in town has this as an option. You are going to lose me and others as a customer if you don't add options to your menu for those that try to stay away from carbs and starches! read more

The food here is actually pretty tasty if a little overpriced for the amount you get. The service is really where the 2-star review comes from. My wife and I visited recently for the first time and were seated almost immediately (there weren't a lot of people there). After we were seated we waited almost 20 minutes before a waitress came by. I have eaten dinner at the Grange numerous times and have always been pleased with the outcome. When they cook something it's done right. The prices are fair for the quality of food they serve. I am a pizza snob, I think there's only 4 places around Puget Sound that make a great pie, the Grange consistently tops them all. The ingredients aren't piled on, they are combined to complement each other. The chicken under a brick is wonderful. I have not eaten brunch there. read more

In LOVE! The newly re-opened Grange Cafe is now owned by a local Duvall family who also farms and brings their fresh produce to the restaurant daily! Having lived in this area for 7+ years and been to the many iterations of the restaurant...I can sincerely say this time the new owners 'scored a home run!' The decor is simple and cozy. The beverages ROCK (and I'm picky). The food is phenomenal (even pickier about food)! My 15 year old scarfed down his Salciccia (sp?) pizza and even tried the beet salad (which was off the charts yummy) and gave it a thumbs up (he doesn't like beets). The doughnuts were beautiful and plentiful with deliciousness inside and out. I can't say enough about how much I love this place and though I now live on Bainbridge Island, it will definitely draw me back to valley on a regular basis. This is Seattle restaurant caliber dining in an awesome little town in Snoqualmie Valley. The best food on the Eastside IMHO. Keep up the great work! read more

Tragically hip and obviously it's the "in" place in this bedroom community for Redmond, but vegetarians need not apply. Great atmosphere, excellent service. Virtually nothing on the menu for vegetarians. Had two eggs scrambled which were very serviceable, but that's about it, unless you're up for paying $16 for a bean dish with some sort of pesto. First time back at The Grange since it's re-opening after new ownership and renovations, VERY NICE!! Place was packed so we got on the waiting list and sat at the bar...what a great experience! Bar has a nice view of the kitchen, so we were able watch the chefs prepare various dishes, which gave us ideas on what to order. We ended up getting the roasted beet salad and the gnocchi...WONDERFUL!! Staff was amazingly friendly and seemed genuinely happy, it was really a great dining experience (but yes, as I've seen in another review it is a bit pricey). Overall, we really enjoyed our meal, wine, and staff. We will definitely be back!! read more

A five star rating is more than fair given this is Duvall where we all really want it the authentic valley way anyways! The Grange is the historic and beautiful white silver spoon restaurant now with a new cozy outdoor deck and gourmet chef it appears. I need to try the featured pizzas from their oven which looks great. The berry cobbler I ordered was incredible and a must baked in a cask iron pan. The mussels and clams were super satisfying and the broth perfectly well done with a touch of humility in the preparation with potatoes. It could have been better with a white toast from Grateful Bread than the flatbread is a small push. Excellent alcohol selection too. Service quite great and friendly for me. read more

I was a little disappointed. The service was slow which can be okay at times as long as the end result is good. I was not charged for my beer which I bought to the waiter's attention I thought he was going to argue with me because the beer showed on the ticket but not the price, the charge was $0. Marcus the chef was outstanding knew what he was doing and had a decent conversation regarding ingredients he was very forthcoming. Emily who was at the fire doing pizzas is an extremely hard worker. And friendly. I can tend to be a little bit of a pizza snob but, pizzas should never be wet. Outside crust was okay nice with a good chew but the rest of the pizza was limp and wet. The money was disappointing right now there is so much good coming out of our local farms and I did not see too much of it on the menu. Broccoli, onions, cauliflower and cabbage. New potatoes. For a farm-to-table restaurant I would have liked to see more local available ingredients. read more

We happened upon the Grange the other day. On entering the café we were politely greeted and seated within 10 minutes or so. The décor does look really nice and is inviting and friendly. The menu was a little bit small so there weren't a lot of choices. My husband hand the Gnocchi (this said it was a sharing portion but it really wasn't) and I had the pizza (which was easily shareable). Both dishes were good. The pizza was a little greasy but that is usually the way pizza is, but for example, there were puddles of grease in the curled pepperoni. The place was a bit pricey. The service was great, it's clear the people really care about the restaurant and your experience there. Pros - great service, good food Cons - small menu, pricey for what you get The only other con I would mention is how very LOUD the place is. And I mean LOUD. This isn't my preference for a café. It was at least as loud as a bar. There aren't any partitions to absorb the noise. I could barely hear my husband and the wait staff. After first being seated I looked around thinking that maybe it would clear out and people often get more gregarious at the end of the meal - but most of the people seated hadn't yet received their food. This is a personal taste issue and I didn't deduct any stars for it, but this alone would keep me from coming back. Maybe sitting outside would have been better. read more

The food was pretty good, the location and decor are great. So why am I giving 3 stars? The service was somewhat slow but my review is mostly based on an incident that happened during our visit. While the waiter was serving us our food he attempted to place a plate in front of my husband by leaning it over our baby. This plate had steak and it's juices on it and the result was that he tipped it a little and it spilled on our baby's head and clothing. Thank goodness the plate wasn't hot! Now our baby was not drenched but it was definitely a spill and I had to go to the bathroom and change her clothes. The waiter was clearly sorry and apologized. However (and this is the reason for the 3 stars) nothing further was done to rectify the issue: no food was comped (not even a drink), neither the manager or owner did not come over to say anything (although I don't know if the waiter said anything to them). As a customer I'd like to be reassured that the appropriate steps would be taken to ensure a situation like that wouldn't happen again. I've never worked in a restaurant but I doubt waiters are supposed to serve food over your head let alone over a baby's head. And I understand mistakes happen but the restaurant needs to take steps to ensure guests have a desirable experience no matter what. This experience was a bit disappointing. read more

What a lovely bright happy space and warm welcome. Though we loved the hearty meals offered by the previous Grange in this building and will miss them, we also enjoyed very much the fresh (super fresh!) approach in the new Grange. The food was scrumptious, the service friendly and professional. Next time we will take advantage of ordering several sharing items and having wine rather than focusing on just one meal apiece. This looks like it will be a super place to gather with a few friends for a shared meal and a toast, can't wait! Also can't wait until brunch is on the menu again!
