Well well well, where do I even start with this place? First of all, I've never in my 23 years of life even considered writing a Yelp review. Well lemme tell ya, August 27th of 2022 changed that. To start, you walk into this place and it's a bunch of "Columbus Crew" soccer fans. Who would even consider having a bar that supports an MLS team from 400 miles away? On top of that, listening to R. Kelly hits for an hour straight on 97% volume made the experience even worse. Anyways, the service was god awful. Had to go up to the bar twice just to remind our waitress that she hadn't taken our food or drink order. Not only did she not come to our table until 15 minutes after that, but she messed up the food order. When we confronted her about receiving the food, she gaslit us into thing that's what we ordered. When it finally came the time to get the bill, she threw it on the table without saying anything, and then didn't come back. I once again had to go to the bar with the check in hand, and when she finally hands it back, looked over me a like vulture looking for road kill, and I signed and miserably tipped a cool $5. Awesome spot for before or after a Cubs game. They have cheap drafts and really good tacos. The bartender was extremely attentive and just overall awesome at his job. We had a good time and I would recommend it to anybody. read more

This was a nice place, it was packed but we sat on the back patio and it was lovely out! We enjoyed drinks that were great! I got 12 wings tossed in buffalo sauce and they were very tasty! My boyfriend got the chicken sandwich and the texas toast was divine! read more

Of If you want loud and pretentious don't come here. Kyle and his staff are the most down to earth and fun people around. The service is consistent, the food is great and the dj is always on point. A great place to get together with friends, or just watch the game. It has the feel of a real local Chicago bar and also my favorite bar in Wrigley. read more

Came in at 9am to watch a Chelsea soccer game. First of all we order coffee, only to be told they have no creamer or sugar so it would be black. Then we notice the regulars walking in with drinks from Starbucks next door so they obviously knew the deal. Ordered the chicken and waffles and breakfast skillet. Both orders came out luke warm (we even saw our food sitting out in the kitchen waiting to be picked up by the server) dry, and of low quality ingredients. Music was unbearably loud. Had to yell across the table to hear one another. Two stars for the good beer selection and for showing Premier League Soccer games. But unfortunately, we will be taking our business elsewhere to other bars in the city. read more

I went on a Friday and there were music videos playing on the TVs. I love the nostalgia of N'Sync and Usher paired with Revolution brewery beer. There was no Backstreet Boys video, which means they legit know what they're doing! And I like their half bench, half chair seating. It gives you the chance to pick which hard surface you want to sit on for a few hours. When I went last night (Saturday), they had the same thing on all the TVs. Obviously, you don't go to a bar for TV, but my eyes wander. In fact, that's not a big deal at all, just thought I'd set the scene. The cocktails are done really well. Only reason I didn't give it a 5, was because it didn't have anything different from any other bar. Granted, I do like the Graystone more than Dark Horse. Dark Horse gets packed, but it's like a frat house crowd, which is fine for some. But there's nothing about Graystone that makes me yell, "let's go there" except that it's located near other places I frequent. read more

I was visiting the city for the first time. Graystone was recommended by a friend and was definitely one of my favorite spots visited in the city. Stopped in here with my girlfriend after working our way through some of the bars following a game at Wrigley on a recommendation from Yelp. We both ordered G&Ts, the perfect summertime drink, which were refreshing. We also both ordered the BBQ Bacon burger, mine with original fries and hers with sweet potato fries. The burger will not disappoint, as the meat patty is rather large and both the fries were perfect. Overall, we were both happy with our experience here. I would definitely return the next time I am in town for a game. read more

The bar itself is nice and spacious - I like the beer garden with tv's out back. However, I've been to this bar twice now and haven't been impressed by the service or the food either time. We had to constantly hunt down our waitress to even get us some water. My burger literally was crumbling apart in my hands as I tried to eat it. Plus, we often see the staff going out front for drinks and smoke breaks, even when we're looking for them. I also plan to leave a review separately for this issue, but the guy who runs the trivia on Tuesday's is the worst. We don't plan on coming back here for a third shot. read more

Given how close they are to Boystown, you would think they would be queer friendly. However, the staff was E X T R E M E L Y rude to me and my friends, most of whom are queer. They were even mean to our not queer male friend who was wearing cubs paraphernalia, which I wasn't expecting, seeing as it is so close to Wrigley Field. Overall, horrible service and management. I wouldn't give a dime to this place ever again and don't even wish my experience there on my worst enemies. read more

Oh my god! A group of friends and I stumbled upon this hidden gem after a Cubs game. All the other bars in the area were packed like sardines, but we were welcomed in and were able to find a table. The bartenders and servers were very friendly and attentive. The crowd was diverse (old and young) and everyone was having a great time. The appetizers were great and came fast. Drinks were reasonably priced and some nice guy bought the entire bar a few rounds of shots. I felt like I was at a friends house! We will definitely be back again. read more

I never got inside during my visit to The Graystone. Instead I was harassed by an employee. I walked up with a group of friends expecting a continuation of what was shaping up to be a great night. At the door I was quickly singled out by the bouncers. There was no reason to single me out, the night was early, I had two drinks in me, I wasn't loud, I wasn't rude, but apparently being transgender isn't allowed at this bar. While I was handing over my id the bouncer said to me "I'll check yours, you're special" . And with barely a glance he decided my id was fake and pocketed it. After three minutes of arguing with this man he turned and went back in. For the next ten minutes I had to debate with bouncers, and my id wasn't returned to me until I told them I was calling the police. At that point suddenly my id was quickly returned to me. The bar manager came out to me with my id and all I was offered for my trouble was a lame excuse that the bouncer was drunk and not on duty. No amends were made. Instead I was told the bouncer was simply just " trying to do the right thing". He wasn't though. From the start he singled out the person he saw as "other". My advice to the lgbt community, only go to Graystone if you want to be harassed by employees that will face no reprimand for their actions. read more

Where do I really begin here. First time posting a review and if we're being completely honest it's the sole reason I made on of these in the first place. The Food was incredible borderline awkward bc of how rock hard I was the entire time. Could not even leave the table to use the restroom bc of my throbbing boner. The bar tender was the best in the business brought the energy through the roof. This was supposed to be a quick stop to grab a bite to eat and turned into a full fledged shirts off crack cold ones with the boys episode. And that was entirely due to him. Kinda hot guy brown hair glasses but I digress. Any who, this was my first time ever visiting Chicago and now I am drafting a text to my landlord to tell him I can no longer honor our lease bc I need to move to Chicago next week. 10/10 would recommend giving a try I will have my funeral there. read more

Our waitress was the worst person I ever met apparently it's half price appetizers on Fridays but since it's parade day it was not half off ! Waitress was drunk on our arrival. She showed us another table's receipt and asked if that small tip was actually what it said. She was putting on deodorant in front of another table. What a great neighborhood spot! Stayed in the neighborhood for a long weekend vacation and stumbled across Graystone Tavern. The new brunch menu is delicious and showcases a good variety. We stopped by on Sunday before the Cubs game and on one of the hottest days of the year the AC didn't seem to be working right. The beer came warm and I'm pretty sure they are not cleaning the lines, I tried two separate beers and both tasted skunky. A group of us went in there after a benefit on a Saturday early evening. I'm guessing we are a little older than their usual crowd, but they made us feel welcome right away.
