    Chicken with Lemon Potatoes
    Sheena C.

We had a play to attend at John Jay and this spot was conveniently located near it. We didn't have a reservation and it was quite packed. They were very accommodating for our party of 3. The food service was pretty fast and my chicken dish tasted good. I'd say a typical Greek restaurant. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable with my allergies. If you need somewhere to eat quickly I would recommend this place.

OPA! What a cute little Greek spot in the city; right on the corner of 10th avenue and 58th street. I am a sucker for chicken souvlaki and tzatziki sauce. Their chicken was a good portion, juicy and well seasoned/flavorful. The tzatziki sauce was fresh and creamy. Their Greek fries were different but nonetheless delicious. The lemonade was very refreshing. The place was packed today! We came here for lunch and will definitely stop by again. Thank you for having us, see you soon!

Still good after 20 years. We tried the 4 dips, feta with sesame and figs, zucchini chips, Greek salad with shrimp. Yummy!!

    Tzatziki and homemade pita

This was truly some of the best Greek food I've ever had. The warm, homemade pita was perfection, and the lemon potatoes were done just right-bright, flavorful, and perfectly tender. On top of the incredible food, the service was outstanding-friendly, welcoming, and genuinely thoughtful. They even went the extra mile to help me charge my dying phone, finding a plug on the ceiling! That kind of hospitality is rare and so appreciated. Love it here-can't wait to come back!

    Avgolemono Soup

The Greek Kitchen was busy throughout prime dining hours, and appears to be popular with the locals. The dining room is a bit tight. We both got the avgolemono to start. For dinner I got the baked chicken and lemon potatoes while my hubby got the chicken kebab. Both chickens were dry. So I am not sure I'd get that again. Other options that look good were the pastitsio and moussaka.

Food: We ordered the feta sousami for an appetizer, and it comes with pita bread. My husband ordered lentil soup & the chicken souvlaki dinner, instead of rice he wanted grilled veggies but they didn't have any or wouldn't replace it. I ordered the same thing, I did want the rice, but thought the red sauce was odd on the rice but it was good and the portions are generous. We had leftovers but since we were visiting we couldn't take them back to hotel. I loved the food and my husband thought it was good. Drinks: I ordered the Cabernet, it was very light but ok. Service: Good Ambiance: Good, very clean, casual and nice. We would come back if we lived here. Price: $109 for two people

A very wide range of options for a traditional Greek kitchen, with a pleasant glass window front room. Good for the fam and good for a lil date! "Scrumptious 8/10" -says Ben "A grand ole time with undeniably delicious food with meat that's to die for! A simple must stop snack!" -says Will

This place is located in SW corner of 10th Ave and 58th St. it is a pretty big place with seating inside and along the periphery outside. We did not need a reservation on Saturday night but couple of the big tables were reserved. The servers were very friendly and the service was efficient. The food was great. The hummus was probably the best I've had in a long time and I eat Greek food frequently. Saganaki was thicker than what I have seen in the past and well done. The chicken souvlaki and orzo was great. I also got a side of grilled chicken and that was 2 pieces (see photo)! Unbelievable. They gyro platter and sandwiches were great as well. The Beets with Skordalia and seared tuna was an unexpected item which was excellent (see photo). Servings were generous and one of the best meals we had.

Lovely blue restaurant with fresh delicious food. Service was quick and friendly. I felt transported to Santorini!!

Grilled Calamari (Kalamarakia) with fish roe.

I've been to this restaurant a few times and it never disappoints. They have outside seating (though not sure in the winter), and the place is nice and clean. The prices are inexpensive for NY. The last time that I was here was on October 15 of 2023 I was served by Corina, who was absolutely great and very personable. In the past, I have had spanakopita as well as mousaka(sp?) The last time that I was here, I had the Greek salad with chicken. I also had the grilled calamari (Kalamarakia) with fish roe. This was really, really good and I cannot wait to return and have it again. Their dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) is also delicious. I never liked them until I had them here. My brother ordered the Gyro platter. The portion was very big as was my portion of food. So worth the price! On my next visit, I plan to change things up a bit. However, fish roe and dolmades will be ordered again.

Elea has an outdoor shed which was covered and very nice. We got a table in this shed with our baby and dog. The service was friendly. We ordered several dishes to share, the fried calamari, grilled octopus and lavraki, all on the lunch menu. I really enjoyed every single dish! I was so craving the fried calamari and this really hit the spot, I loved the dipping sauce (which was a light tomato's based sauce but it was not exactly marinara). I loved the octopus especially with hummus! And the fish which was a lot with 2 fillets of lavraki with a large portion of spinach! So yummy, we will absolutely be back and can't wait!

It was quick, it was clear, and it definitely left an impression--though not the kind you hope for in an interview. It definitely felt like being black affected the experience.

Their attention to your experience and making sure you have what you need shows their commitment to hospitality. Is it Outrageous Hospitality? No, but you won't walk away complaining about service if your evening was like ours. You might, though, give four stars for a meal that was good but not incredible " you want to walk away from a meal - no matter the price - saying "that was worth it" and its hard for me to do that, in this case. Delicious scallops, but the app order is just two (we had nine people and they didn't let us know what we needed to get the job done). The Greek Salad had some of the freshest and delicious tomatoes I've had in quite some time (and, given the nature of the place, you know this has to be a dish they hit it out of the park). We joined together as a table for Lavraki and Sea Bass. The deboning and plating at the table was a nice touch, though I was disappointed in both lacking flavor. The disappointment came with the vegetable offering as the only green option - the broccolini and cauliflower - came as plain Jane as one can imagine, actually making the side a detractor from the whole dish. Would I return? I'm not against the place at all, but I'm certain I'll try other options in Midtown first.
