I ordered flowers for my fiance's bridal shower. I asked for pick-up to be on Sunday (not their hours), but the woman said she comes in all the time during off-hours. I showed up 15 minutes before the appointment time and stayed 15 minutes after. She never showed or answered the phone (called and left voicemail twice). It make matters worse - she did not have the guts to call and own her mistake. I normally would not care this much but it was a surprise for my fiance's bridal shower... No class. read more

There was an order made in July for delivery August 8, that day came and went with no delivery and no communication. Sign in the door says they're on vacation the first half of August. They've removed and blocked people on Facebook who have attempted to reach out to them over it. They will absolutely commit fraud against you. read more

Prior to my first time ordering from The Green Branch, via a third-party contributor for this Glen Ellyn, IL establishment, I had not reviewed the unfortunate experiences others had endured. I intended to surprise my long-time friend with a thoughtful harvest bouquet to show my years of appreciation of her friendship. She was truly delighted and stated that she couldn't remember the last time she, herself, received flowers. However, when she sent me a copy of the display, it merely contained two lone roses, artificial Foliage of harvest leaves, branches, and a pumpkin. I was embarrassed, as I ordered a "DELUXE" bouquet to be placed within a unique square purple vase, appearing much fuller, containing SEVERAL flowers, surrounded by 3-4 roses (not two)! Granted, I purposely attached the photo, which my friend sent to me, because the bouquet, though petite, does appear to be nicely arranged, which is why I changed my review from one star to two stars. I sent an email, with the attached photo, complaining to the online company (flowershopping.com). They indicated to me, that The Green Branch did not fill my Deluxe order, but substituted for a standard, smaller version! I was provided with a refund for the difference in size, but not for the wrong vase choice. My friend was still happy, and the display, although small, with only two lone roses, and a clear (not purple vase) was tastefully prepared, BUT deceptively, so! I PAID FOR A DELUXE! I was saddened that, The Green Branch, most likely, intentionally wanted to cut corners, which, from the other comments in the reviews, there were statements of similar discrepancies, which tells me, "Beware." I believe we should take time to investigate into reading others' reviews, prior to our intended selections of utilizing well-established businesses. read more

I bought a bouquet for mixed flowers for my anniversary and it was, according to my wife, "absolutely beautiful". Highly recommend. I received a bday bouquet from my daughter which was a long distance order. She selected carnations which is my favorite flower! I like them because they last a long time but after 3 days they were turning brown. Shouldn't happen with carnations and shouldn't happen when someone spends a chunk of money on flowers! I called and they made it right. Delivered another bunch of flowers which are fresh and I'm sure will last. If the first delivery had been right would be five stars. read more

Service AWFUL. Ordered my mother flowers for Mother's Day. Called green branch THREE times to get info on when my mom would receive them, in which the last call they finally told me that my mom received them on door step. Lady who answered was extremely disrespectful and rude each time and she told me whoever delivered them rang door bell and left my mom a voicemail. In which they DIDN'T do either. The flowers were sitting outside for 7 hours because my mom didn't know they were out there and they wouldn't communicate to me that she received them. Will not be ordering flowers again and will recommend to others not to go here because of the awful service. read more

I ordered flowers for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day through the Green Branch website. Because she lives in Park Ridge, apparently another more local florist delivered them to her. It was an expensive arrangement with roses that wilted the next day. I called Green Branch to complain, and I basically was told that because it was not "their delivery" that it was not their problem but that they would follow up with the other florist. I think because I ordered them through Green Branch, it WAS in fact their problem. If they really did their follow up, it was ineffective because no new flowers were delivered. I wanted to go local, and that's why I went through Green Branch instead of FTD or another national service. I will not make that mistake again. Very disappointed. read more

I used Green Branch Florist for my wedding in July. I got my bouquet, boutonnieres for the men and corsages for the women. The boutonnieres and corsages were great, just like I wanted them to be. But I was extremely disappointed in my bouquet. When I saw it on my wedding day I thought it looked a little goofy but was so preoccupied with everything else going on I didn't think much of it. I just received my wedding pictures this weekend and my bouquet looks terrible in the pictures. I had a bouquet of white lilies, but only maybe a third of them were open so my bouquet looks like a couple white lilies and a bunch of bananas. My husband and I now call it my "banana bouquet". Good thing we are easy going and can laugh about it, but honestly I look at my pictures and it's all I notice now. And my bouquet is in ALL my pictures. I live in Glen Ellyn and always support local business, especially family owned, but I wouldn't recommend Green Branch to someone looking for wedding flowers. read more

We used The Green Branch for our wedding June of 2014. Noel was very patient in talking to me about what my vision was and made our wedding more beautiful then I ever imagined. She showed me samples of the flowers to give me an idea and did a mock table for the reception as well. She worked with our budget and did a wonderful job and was also very sweet and pleasant to work with. My best friend is getting married Next month and she will be using her as well. A gem of a flower shop and wonderful mother daughter team. The business was founded 40 years ago and continues to remain fresh. Love to stop in for special gifts for hostess and events, or just for dinner parties. Their classes also look fun, still waiting to try one. read more

I assume the flowers were OK when delivered to our ill colleague. However, I would never use this florist again based on customer service. The raspy-voiced woman who takes the flower orders is very ill-mannered on the phone. Our company spent $156 on one bouquet and a balloon that was delivered to a residence in Wheaton. I was never provided with an emailed receipt or follow up of any kind to know if the flowers were delivered. When I called for the receipt the same woman told me the bookkeeper was on vacation and they could get back to me next week. Not sure who runs this business, but it just doesn't seem right. read more

I live in California and needed an orchid plant to be delivered in sympathy. I found The Green Branch on line, and just hoped they would come through on time and with a nice product. My daughter visited the day after the delivery, and she said the orchids were absolutely beautiful and that the family loved them! The WORST customer service ever! The pictures are nowhere near what get delivered to you and on top of that, if you think of complaining to the website that you ordered from, they will call you scream and be absolutely rude and unprofessional with you. To top it all off, they will go to the recipient's house, demand their horrible arrangement back, and snatch it from the person's hand stating that the reason they are taking the arrangement is because the person can't pay for them!
