Dessert

Food here is excellent. I ordered the grouper and my husband ordered the scallops. I ordered the Pina colada they won a 2026 award for. It was yummy. We also ordered the chocolate mousse dessert also. Service was great and we ate outside with a fantastic view. Anyone visiting Sanibel has to visit this restaurant.

Definitely wouldn't go back again. The waitress definitely profiled us (not old white rich ppl). She even said oh that's a fake money (paid with a $100 bill. Service sucked. Hamburger was raw after I said very well done. She gave me free potato chowder and that was super yummy but salty.

Painkiller was delicious

We had a chance to venture out to Captiva and remembered this spot from a visit some 15+ years ago. We dined at an odd hour late afternoon and they offer a very limited menu, a subset of their lunch and dinner. That was fine. We were promptly seated on their nice outdoor patio. Some diners arrive by boat. As others have mentioned service was a little slow, but adequate. Our waitress suggested the fried grouper sandwich, which was tasty, but our fries were cold and soggy. I did mention to our waitress who apologized and brought out a fresh batch. I also tried the bisque which was tasty enough, nothing exceptional. The Painkiller cocktail on the other hand was outstanding! The view here is more impressive than the food, but there are not many choices on Captiva.

We dined here for the first time last night. We were asking ourselves why we haven't tried this place before. We made reservations on the "Open Table" app and arrived early. We had a table for 2 next to a beautiful window view of the marina. We ordered drinks and dinner. The fresh sourdough bread was hot and yummy. I had the halibut special which was pure heaven. My husband ordered the Chilean Sea Bass which seemed to melt in your mouth. Our server was so nice. This place is now on our rotation of favorite places to eat when on Captiva !

1. Portions were good. 2. The shrimp in the salads what seasoned very well. 3. Carley, our server, was sweet and very nice. 4. I liked the Green Flash sandwich. 5. The Captiva salad was good but my wife wished the dressing was pre-mixed into the salad.

We visited the green flash after a day at Bowman's Beach for an early dinner. Always great scenery limited seating though so we couldn't sit outside but great view from the inside. The staff was super friendly. Everyone greeted us. The food was pretty phenomenal as well. I got the grouper sandwich which is their signature sandwich and it didn't disappoint. Very flavorful for the fish. The kids food got eaten up. They loved it and the drinks were yummy as well. The shrimp quesadilla was phenomenal too. I've never had a shrimp quesadilla and my wife let me have a bite. She loved it and my bite was delicious as well. Would definitely recommend visiting this place.

Our group stopped in for lunch on a Saturday while boating around Captiva Island. We arrived around noon and there were still a few spots to tie up your boat. We navigated in and made our way up the dock. The restaurant is very pretty from the outside. It overlooks the water with lots of windows bringing in natural light and one of a kind views. We were seated right away for our party of 4. Not long after we arrived a Bachelorette party arrived on a tiki boat which I thought was so cool. By the looks of the restaurant, this is a go to spot for many. Our server mentioned some different cocktails and special menu options and I took her lead. I can't remember the name exactly, but I ordered almost like a pint colado but on the rocks with more of a pineapple taste. The drink was so good. It was tropical and refreshing. Just what I wanted on the warm day. My brother and I ordered the teriyaki chicken sandwich with pineapple. The chicken was delicious and cooked perfect while saying juicy. The sauce and sweetness of the pineapple made for a great combination of flavors. It was also topped with tomato, onion, and lettuce. A pickle spear and small side of coleslaw were also plated with chips. Everyone enjoyed their meal and nothing was outrageously priced. We then got back on the boat and off we went.

Still one of my go to places on the island for some food & cocktails, even if it has become a lot more "touristy" over the years. We went around lunchtime after the beach and were able to grab a spot at the bar despite a long wait for tables. The sunny view is nice and their key lime dessert is still great :)

Had a wonderful dinner with family, had a few issues with service. Bringing wrong items 2 times and extremely long waiting for dessert should have skipped as it was meh, took longer for that than dinner. Love the outside dining with almost all music being great like old 50-60. We like the older crowds which is mostly what you get. Second time visiting, will be back

This was a great dinner spot. The sourdough was a delicious starter. My husband ordered the coconut shrimp, which were HUGE. There were a good amount too, making them very filling. I ordered the salmon, which was also a great choice. We expected the price to be more expensive but it was very reasonable.

Love the flash! Best taste around! I always bring my out of town guest here! Always great service and beautifully prepared as well. Last night was no exception! Ahi Tuna appetizer perfectly seared and sauce adds the sweet, along with the fresh ginger altogether is so tasty. My Stuffed Grouper was full of crab meat and the Bernaise added a rich flavor. SOS had the Atlantic Salmon and loved it. Since was her first time to Florida, we had to have Key Lime Pie. The best flavor and presentation! Beautiful view to watch the July storms come in.

March 2026 - Stopped for a morning cup of coffee and a homemade cinnamon roll. The coffee and roll was good as was the service. The morning view over the water was fantastic. Try it, you'll like it.

Really 3 1/2: 3 for food, 4 for ambience Three of the 4 of us really enjoyed the green flash sandwich a panini with turkey, melted cheese cold slaw and pesto. It was hot, crispy and very good. The accompanying kettle chips should have been made natural in house with fresh potato slices. As served they were store bought - OK. The crab cake sandwich was ok, but not outstanding. The location and views are really nice.

Bye bye TGF

We had very good service throughout even though they were busy. We weren't rushed. We dined leisurely but without gaps between courses. We shared a Caesar salad to start. It was a good appetizer. For my main entree, I had the lamb chops. There were two double chops perfectly cooked to my request -- crisped on the outside. They were delicious. And served over mashed potatoes with asparagus and carrots. The portion was large. My husband had the burgundy braised short ribs. The meat was tender and flavorful. He said the sauce they were in was just rich and wonderful. We were too full to try any of their desserts. As we were leaving, we both said that this restaurant is a "keeper". We also just walked in after dinner one evening and one of the servers got us rang up and got our dessert pretty quickly which was nice. The key lime was lovely. It was the right amount of tart, along with the whipped cream and some tart raspberry /lime syrup and it was a splendid combination. It was the perfect dessert to enjoy after a nice beach day and staying in paradise on Captiva. Can't speak for the actual food but the restaurant is super adorable and has half indoor and half outdoor seating and it's really nice. Plus, great key lime pie!

We were so happy to see that they rebuilt and the outside, in particular, looks almost the same! We have always ordered the crab cakes, spinach salad, and Keylime pie. My friend, who lives here, also ordered a Keylime martini. First of all, our waiter, Sal, gave her an outdated menu, so when she ordered the martini for $10, she was charged $15. Then the crab cakes came and they now look like they came from Costco. We asked Sal if they were made in house, and he said they were. Really? Today we ate at the Fresh Catch on Ft Myers Beach. I am posting pictures of the 2 crabcakes from Keylime. which cost me $18.00 and the 3 crabcakes I bought today for dinner at the Fresh Catch Bistro on Ft Myers beach for $15.00. All of the standard breakfast offerings were on the menu, plus a special of theirs is a breakfast sandwich that's an omelette wedged between two pieces of french toast. Kind of fun. The Bubble Room has been open on Captiva Island longer than I have been alive. After Hurricane Ian,…read morethey closed briefly to rebuild and this summer we finally were able to go back. Wow. This place is frozen in time that makes me celebrate my inner child and love my current life all at once. This spot is so quirky, it's Christmas all year round, you're surrounded by antiques and collectibles and then the menu is filled with things from land and sea that are delish. I do believe this visit was the first time I have ever had an alcoholic beverage t the Bubble Room since the majority of my memories come from begging my parents to take me to get orange crunch cake as a kid on our summer vacation (still slaps). I opted for a French martini and this was so good! Their twist on the classic drink has basil and I enjoyed that refreshing twist. For dinner, we started with crab cakes and I got the Prime Rib. It was HUGE, and perfectly cooked. If you go to the Bubble Room, it is imperative that you order desert. I don't care how full you are, and I don't care if you do not like dessert. The cakes here are ridiculous. I still remember fighting over them growing up - and it's amazing that after 20+ years of eating them, they taste just as good every time. The best is without a doubt the orange crunch cake, but I also love the coconut cake. There is something about a place that remains the same no matter how much you change. The Bubble Room is a place that has earned icon status, and I am so happy to see it not only reopen, but packed with families making memories. Service is super friendly. The food was still amazing and the place looks the same with minor changes since the storm. The disappointment here is the front end. They hired a very childish boy as a hostess. Flamey and rude. Very dramatic and rather than trying to help people ( such as locating a restroom) he spews a very long story about where it is instead of pointing to it two feet away. He was talking and laughing about a customer when I came out. I presume me I only needed to wash my hands. He's lucky I didn't tell him off but I didn't want to let him ruin our evening and have my husband hear. He's ( Anthony) a little punk though.
