Friendly service. Had a great monte cristo and crab omelette. Really good food for 5am in the morning.

Was in the area on vacation, had had breakfast at another establishment, but was not impressed. So I searched for another and found this one. We walked here and asked a few people who we saw walking out of the restaurant if they liked it and they all gave it very positive reviews. We opted to sit outdoors as the weather was beautiful and we heard it was crowded inside. We had a lovely waitress named Deb who was so nice, patient. She kindly explained the specials and the other questions we had about items on the menu. My wife had the Irish Benedict and I had the Crab Saratoga as well as a cinnamon roll to share. Simply put, the meal was amazing!!! The corned beef hash on the Irish was tasty - not too greasy. Admittedly, I've had better corned beef hash elsewhere, but this was pretty good. The roasted potatoes were also very good - a nice change from greasy hash browns. The Crab Saratoga itself was full of flavor, but the bread and homemade strawberry rhubarb jam that came with it was the star of the plate. The bread was so fresh and the jam was sooo good. The cinnamon roll was just right - not too sweet, just sweet enough and served warm. Overall, a great experience. We plan to come back before we leave and return on future trips! read more

You have never had a scone as good as theirs. I promise you. The waitress also told me the cooks will make anything off menu you desire, as long as they have the ingredients. They offer their breakfast and lunch menu all day, so I ordered sandwiches and brought them to the beach a few days. Love that they open at 5am. Many places don't open so early! read more

This very cute, and well staffed cafe was nearly empty early on a Monday morning, but the wait for Sunday breakfast was longer than we could wait. I'm glad that we went back because the food was inspired. We tried a couple of the specials, including scrambled eggs with cream cheese, chives and crab, and an omelette with brie, bacon and heirloom tomatoes. For a place that just opened this year, they have got their friendly staff well trained and a very respectable menu with a well rounded selection with lots of delicious pastries too. Open at 5am for early risers but closes at 2pm, so don't miss out. read more

Outstanding friendly service, amazing food! Got the eggs Benedict, one lobster and one crab cake, both were fresh and tasty! Also ordered mimosas and they give you the full split. Took home the homemade muffins that were so good (moist and full of flavor)! I wish I knew about this place earlier as it's been open for 4 years. By far, this is the best breakfast place in town! Nice new place for breakfast. The food was good and the staff was friendly.Cute place.I think with a little time this could be a great go to place.They could really do great, if they have a good breakfast chef.I had the eggs Benedict they were cooked perfectly but hollandaise sauce was running and broken but the flavor was good. They had Plumbing issues when we were there,the womens bathroom was clogged so you had to use the men's room which was okay but the floor was covered in water and no paper towels. Told our server she was all over it getting someone to check it ou,t hats off to her. I would try this place again.Best of luck to you. read more

Went for breakfast on a Monday morning and was seated right away. I've been told though that it can get very busy and its not uncommon to wait. The menu is huge! I had a classic Benedict sandwich-!excellent ! My husband had blueberry pancakes fabulous. Hashbrowns were crispy potato shreds..yummy. finally you must check out the selection of muffins! I repeat if u r eating outside go in and look at the muffins. We are bringing half dozen home! read more

At first hello I thought this place was great. The customer service was amazing and everyone was really friendly. There was a bit of a longer wait than I would have hoped for for my food to come out but nothing no one couldn't handle. I order one blueberry pancake with a side of hash and one scramble egg. I'm a stickler when it comes to how well an egg is cooked and they did a great job. The hash, however, I'm pretty sure was from a can and I would have enjoyed it much more if it were home made. My pancakes were great I don't have any negative things to say on the pancakes except for me not buying real maple syrup.. I'm from vermont and fake maple syrup just isn't enough. After our brunch we headed up to the caffe area upstairs and enjoyed a delicious iced americano. The barista was so friendly and sweet just like his pastries:) All in All it was a great experience. I will most likely return to the cafe but I'm not so sure about the restaurant. read more

The food is fantastic, best breakfast/brunch in Ogunquit. But on our most recent visit, the service was horrendous, our food took ONE HOUR to come out. We asked our waitress about the delay several times and she was rather curt; her response was basically "it is what it is." She even went as far as suggesting that our order was delayed because we had ordered pancakes. Huh? Kitchen delays are sometimes unavoidable but, when they happen, the wait staff should make an effort to lessen the disruption; no such effort was made during our last visit to the Greenery. Hopefully this was just a one-time issue and not the new norm at what has otherwise been a wonderful restaurant. read more

We were so impressed by this place which we found on yelp while searching for a tasty breakfast. First of all, the food is Incredible! Fresh, delicious with great selections. My wife and I recently vacationed in Maine. We liked the Greenery so much that we ate there twice. The first time we had lunch and had their fish chowder which is outstanding. The broth is the thinner milky style, which I prefer versus the usual thick broth. The chowder had nice chunks of fish in it and the flavor was great. Honestly it was some of the best chowder I've had. On our next visit we had breakfast. I had the western scrabbled eggs with a side of fruit. The eggs were fluffy and loaded with pieces of ham, onion and peppers. The fruit was really fresh. The toast was thicker than the typical pre-sliced type. The staff was very good and the prices are reasonable. Everything was excellent. We have now added the Greenery as a regular stop on our future visits. read more

This is a must stop for breakfast while in Ogunquit. The muffins, especially the coffee cake, are too die for and big enough to split. Portions are a decent size and everything is fresh. Plenty of healthy options to choose from, such as Greek yogurt with fresh berries and homemade granola. We were in Ogunquit for two nights and went here for breakfast on the recommendation of our hotel manager. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious - possibly the best pancakes (almond joy) I've ever had! My husband had the lobster omelet, which had large chunks of delicious lobster in it. Everything was fresh and delicious. We loved it so much that we went back for breakfast the next morning on our way out of town. We were traveling throughout New England and this was by far our favorite breakfast experience. read more

Very busy on a Saturday morning! My husband ordered the Avo and Egg sandwich which came on a hearty ciabatta roll he ordered a Bloody Mary with all the fixings- it was good! We came to this place because we had a voucher from our resort. We waited for 45 mins and saw many people leave because of the wait and flippant attitude of the staff. Some of our ladies couldn't stand for long periods of time, so I asked if we could have two tables instead of our large table that we had originally asked for. I was told that the hostess didn't have time to speak with me, as she told another couple to sit down quickly because she didn't have time to wait. One of my friends tried to talk again to the tall blonde hostess, and she decided to verbally assault my friend. Afterwards, the manager came out to defend the hostesses inexcusable behavior. I understand some people have bad days, but unfortunately I will not be returning to find out if this was a bad day or the norm for this establishment. (Also, when you decide to talk rudely about the customers, make sure one of them isn't standing behind you.) read more

Seems like The Greenery is known for its breakfast meals and its baked goods. Problem is, we don't go out for breakfast in the morning- not even while on vacation. But we do go out for lunch, and we decided to try The Greenery. Sadly, it didn't work out for us. We sat in the main dining room, which was a rather austere setting with bare concrete floors and plain tables. We ordered a salad with a side of grilled chicken, and a turkey wrap. The turkey wrap was fine- I got it with a side of Greek pasta salad which was delicious. To their credit they did use carved turkey, rather than cold cut turkey. Bacon and guacamole added flavor to it. The salad was a bountiful portion, but the chicken was overcooked with a stale flavor and off-putting odor suggesting it had been cooked on a dirty grill. Weird that the waitress tried to pass this off as being grilled with balsamic vinegar. Who does that? At least they didn't charge us for the side. Not a good experience. read more

We love the Greenery! Food is outstanding all fresh, homemade bake goods and breads! Jelly is homemade....our new favorite spot for breakfast & lunch ! Wow, this place is awesome!! I live across the way in the summer and have now been there several times for both breakfast and lunch...they serve both all day, so yes....you can get a delicious lunch at 5am if you want too! First time I went there I ordered the Greenery breakfast (I think is the name) which was eggs any way you like, sausage, their homemade toast (with yes, their homemade jam....YUM) and their homefries. Form me, someone who doesn't eat breakfast, this was the best and since I've been there, I've now had that exact meal twice. Other times I've tried their lunch dishes which again, just delicious! Love it and I am now a loyal customer, recommend to everyone! read more

As a simple breakfast and lunch cafe, this place is great. Our first introduction came from having bought a blueberry muffin at a coffee shop in Perkins Cove, who told us it was from the Greenery. When we ate the muffin, we decided to go to this place itself. Our first visit, we ordered steel cut oatmeal and strawberry French Toast. My wife is a serious steel cut oatmeal fan, and loved it. It's served with berries too. The French Toast came with a strawberry compote and whipped cream on it, and was terrific. They also offer half orders of many items, which I ordered. It was so good that the next time back we ordered the same things (and my wife came back yet another time too). Coffee was good. Service, both times by the very personable and attentive Edie, was excellent. And we ate outside both times too, which was nice. read more
