Fam and I stopped here driving back to CT from Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos. Janie was THE best server ever. SO sweet and personable. And she's a heck of a salesperson! So glad she convinced me to get the seafood pasta. It was ridiculously good!! Hubby would've liked the Tso's a bit spicier but he said it was delicious. Kids were VERY happy with their burger, pretzel sticks & loaded (or, unloaded actually, since they got everything but the cheese on the side!) Fun ambiance with some nostalgic decor. We hit the coin game located at the entrance on our way out and I think we were there for an extra 20 minutes! Hope we find ourselves in the area again so we can go back!

This place was a great find. Service was impeccable, all her recommendations were on point. The specials added to the amazing menu options. The restaurant was clean and very spooky decorated. This is a fun place for the whole family.

If you care about the steps that establishments are required to take to keep their patrons and staff safe, DO NOT EAT HERE. The staff does not wear their masks properly if at all. The manager doesn't attempt to wear a mask. It doesn't phase him if a patron is upset about this. There is a sign on the door that clearly states masks MUST be worn when you are not at your table. Complete disappointment. Hopefully the right people see this post and do something about it. Needless to say, we walked out. One star is too much but Yelp made me do it.

Great food, great wait-staff very attentive, and atmosphere very relaxed. Looking forward to coming back next time we are in Pa. This place is a gem.

The parking lot is small but luckily it wasn't crowded on a Sunday afternoon. The food was excellent. They have a wood fired grill menu only on the weekends. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, the smoked wings with Thai chili sauce, the pulled pork sandwich, the hangar steak, and the burger. All were great as were the fries. The service was above and beyond. Also, they had some great specials on cams to go that we took advantage of. 10% off for dining at the brewery, a free branded glass with every 3 4-packs, and a free bottled stout with the purchase of a case.

It was around that moment, I realized I should have gone to Equilibrium. Two months later, I was again traveling through Middletown and I planned my day around visiting. The space was cool. Lots of wood. Cool large Einstein art as you approach the building. Lots of inside seating with natural light. Outside seating and smokers for BBQ. I ordered two 4 ounce pours as a way of informing my can purchases. Photon, a Pale Ale. And MC Squared, a Double IPA. Both were very good. Reminded me of the ales at some other top breweries. I decided to buy a 4 of MC Squared and I asked the person working if there was anything special that they had in cans. She recommended Mmmosa, which is a pale ale with orange flavor. I tried it and it also was very good. I didn't eat, but I note that Equilibrium really seems focused on BBQ. Something to research before you visit. 4.5 Stars

One of my toxic traits is that I judge books by their covers; I also do that with restaurants, and…read moreit burned me here. I stopped by on Saturday afternoon with one of my top-tier chums for a post-Port Jervis exploration/walk nip, deciding that out of all of the places we'd walked and/or driven by, this looked the most intriguing and certainly the most historic. One brief moment of validation occurred before we even entered - after walking through the downtown area and encountering pretty much a ghost town, we found a ton of locals in the outdoor patio/seating area here having a rollicking good time. Pretty decent endorsement, but it was quickly downhill from there. As soon as you walk in, you can tell that the majority of ye olde charm has been replaced; for instance, there's some wood paneling over the bar area that's relatively new - I was expecting something that looked pretty historic inside but in my opinion that wasn't the case. I'm not sure how much of a negative that necessarily is, but if you're walking into an establishment like this expecting to be transported to the 1890s, you're going to be disappointed. There's definitely some history, but it's not going to conjure up handlebar mustaches and victrolas. I ordered the Port Old-Fashioned off the cocktail menu; I was a little leery because it cited mulled oranges, but beyond that the description was dictionary definition. The drink itself was not. As you can see from the accompanying picture, the cocktail was practically red; I can't say for sure because I didn't witness the preparation, but it certainly looked and tasted as if it had Fireball in it rather than straight-up Bourbon. Really strange, and made it morph into a kegger drink for me. And the mulled oranges were definitely a mistake; I knew what I was getting into in that regard, so that part of the experience is certainly on me, but there's a reason this drink is supposed to have an orange peel essentially as a garnish and not a full-on part of the beverage. Really odd and I hate to say it, but probably the worst Old-Fashioned I've ever had. We had a young female bartender who was very nice/hospitable, which is the only reason this isn't a dumpster fire one-star review. She was the only one behind the bar, which was decently packed, and held her own. Our visit was relatively brief - we stopped for just the one drink before heading home across the border - but had no issues service-wise. We were able to order promptly, and received our beverages shortly thereafter. Unfortunately as mentioned, the actual drink was pretty bad, and I'd strongly recommend additional training in that capacity. Some of the intangibles are there, so I think this could be rectified. The Port Jervis residents clearly like this place a lot, so I have to assume they're staying away from the cocktail I had and enjoying either other drinks or the food (which neither of us sampled). And the price point is reasonable as well - I think my drink was $12 - but you ARE getting what you pay for. My recommendation? Head over to Jersey and drive the 29 minutes to the Walpack Inn, which is literally never on the way to anything except in this instance, and has much better menu options and legit rustic ambience.

The staff and patrons looked at each other joking and laughing but NOBODY was instructing the patrons as to what to do. We waited a few minutes but finally left as the BLAT,BLAT,BLAT of the alarm was excruciating to the slight headache I had entered the dining area with. Fire trucks showed up but it was established to be a false alarm. Something they should have let the patrons know right away. I felt we should have been partially compt. for the meal since we only finished half of it before we left. I don't think I will go back as I felt the whole situation was handled poorly. They need better safety protocols for such situations. Laughing and joking while patrons are confused as to what to do is a serious violation of ethics to say the least. Get it together erie hotel! You have some work to do.

We asked the waitress and server numerous times about the food and they were always checking on it. Eventually the food was brought out. Unwashed salad & dry chicken, the elote salad had gummy corn with an aftertaste & dry chicken, chicken and fish tacos just mehhhh, salmon just ok, burgers cooked too well done, soggy onion rings, pizza not good at all. Meanwhile another party that came in 1 hr after us, had all their food even before we had all ours We spoke to the waitress about the service, wasn't blaming her for the service at all, and asked to speak to the manager. Manager never came to talk to us. Eventually one of our family members found out who the manager was and went and spoke to her directly. The manager plainly stated that since there were a few big tables, things like this happens. Things like this should never happen if you had enough staff. And I believe that was the problem, not enough staff in the kitchen and on the floor. Wish I had taken some pics of the food, but it was nothing memorable. Don't recommend this place and would never come back.

The slice selection was pretty standard - cheese, mushroom, sausage, pepper and onion, bbq chicken, chicken bacon ranch, Sicilian, etc. I got a mushroom slice and chicken bacon ranch. Also pretty standard and nothing really stood out to me as different, except for the many sizes of pizza you can order. The bar area was kind of cool, and there were some booth seats as well as a bistro room in the back. The undercarriage was a bit floppy even when reheated in the oven. Wasn't a huge fan of the mushroom slice, maybe it was the mushrooms but the sauce was nothing special. I liked the chicken bacon ranch better probably because it was smothered with bacon and ranch. My husband also thought his slices were just "ok" (we're used to NJ/NY metro pizza).
