I have never written a Yelp review in the past, but the service , care and results we recieved from Mike and his crew recently was so above and beyond that I figured they earned it. As I came to post, I noticed all great reviews, except for an outlier post from Andy D, that makes Mike seem evil. Are Andy D and I living on the same planet? I was so taken back that I decided to look at Andy D other reviews on Yelp - Andy D doesn't seem to like anyone or anything. Andy D - I am so sorry that you didnt get the toy you wanted for Christmas when you were little. I am guessing you got a participation trophy for everything you were bad at, and so grew up thinking the world rotates around you. Trying to badmouth and bully someone into doing a job for a price that they will lose money on is just being a prick! You supposedly got a better price - take it and shut up, then don't complain when the job turns out shitty. Get a life whiner. Again, we couldn't be happier with the service and end results we recieved from Groutsmith Brandywine - one of the BEST small companies I have had the pleasure of hiring - I recommend them to anyone - except for Andy D. read more

ed Well now,... now, since the owner ( Mike) outright lied in his response to my earlier review I feel compelled to spell it out the facts a bit more..so, Mike comes to my home,HE writes up the contract and leaves it with me. He says get other estimates..which i did. (Mike is a great salesman so) I contacted him and advised he was much higher than the next closest contractor estimate. I provide him the closest contractor's price ($2,200.00) and estimate via email. So, Mike drops his price,IN WRITING, to$3,100.. so I accept it in writing. So we should have a valid contract..right?? Well, Mike not in Mike's world..... instead,...he comes back,in writing,a few days later, and wants to jack the price BACK up to about $4,800.00.. But wait,,,,remember, Mike responded that he would reduce his contract price from almost $5,000 to $3,100.00. ..all in e-mails ( writing) but,again, then comes back days later trying to bump the price back up...hopefully he is not screwing with me because I am a senior citizen and handicapped...next step...its up to Mike...but I suspect neither of us will end this here....stay tuned so,according to Mike, a contract is not a contract .. what he is whining about in his reply to my YELP post earlier is a lie I did not do anything wrong..... I called him out on it and he is a bully!! nobody threatened him...ha-ha! what a joke... Nobody lied to him...... its all in the e-mails ...which I will share soon!! The Grout Smith Brandywine did an excellent job in our master bathroom. They re-grouted all the tile work in our large shower stall, including the floor and walls and the bathroom floor. We met with Mike ahead of the job and he went over everything and we picked out the grout colors. The job was performed as promised, and on time. read more
