SO SO FUN!!! Started architecture design in college and this is a DREAM. The space is so beautiful with tons of natural light. This is also a good option for those who can't decide on anything (aka me). It's located in a fun spot of Bend and there are many food options so you can mix and match. Service at all the stalls were great!

The Grove was a bright and big space for all 13 of us to eat at. There was ample room for our party to sit and enjoy various types of foods. I have tried Shimshon, GoodEgg and their market food. The one item we got from the market inside the Grove was a key lime pie from Farmhouse Pies. It was delicious and a great dessert to share. Parking was the only difficult part since the parking lot shares with the apartment complex. There was some street parking available but a block away. Thankfully it was a weekend in the summer so there wasn't too many businesses open nor the problematic high school kids. I went a second time on a weekday at 2 and the place was very quiet with a few people even working on their laptops. You have to bus your own items which isn't hard just need to realize there aren't tables for each vendor but community tables.

Fantastic small food hall with a variety of vendors. The common area was clean and bright. There were plenty of tables, chairs ,and benches. Bathrooms were clean. We visited two nights in a row. The only negative was the parking lot, very limited spaces. Even the street parking was hard to come by.

Between the exceptionally good food at Hook and Plow, a most pleasant hotel experience, and a memorable trip to the High Desert Museum; our trip to Bend turned out to be a pleasure instead of the miserableness I expected. We had the Steak Tartare, the Chef's Board, the Blackend Crabcake, the Pear and Burrata Salad, and the Bone-in Pork Chop. We each got the cheesecake for desert and split the other dishes. This was more than enough for the three of us and we left full, happy, and with three large to-go boxes. The flavors of the various dishes were amazing. While all the dishes were vvery good, the standouts to me were the steak Tartare, the Pear and Burrata Salad, and the Cheesecake.

We were greeted by the host and seated quickly. We started our meal with a delicious non-alcoholic drink and the Chef's Board: a charcuterie with an assortment of cured meats, rustic bread, and various spreads. That came out pretty quickly. Unfortunately, our main courses came out much, much later and lukewarm. Luckily, the food was good enough that it made up for the temperature. I had the NY strip steak. The steak and the Boursin mashed potatoes alone were very good. The pickled onions and chimichurri complemented the meat very well. The meal was supposed to include brussel sprouts but came with a grilled broccoli cauliflower assortment instead. My wife had the Scallop Risotto which was also a great recommendation from the server. In reality, The Hook & Plow deserved 3 1/2 stars but that's not an option on Yelp. It may have been an off night for the staff, so I will give them the benefit of doubt. We would be open to trying it again sometime in the future.

Food and service was absolutely incredible, the Bavette blew all of my expectation out of the water. That was an incredible meal and the scallops specifically easily rivaled my favorite Michelin recommended Japanese favorite in San Francisco. The brioche popup was fantastic in itself as a starter and I had it side by side with the bacon wrapped date. The friggin date was even spectacular. This was a knockout meal for being all the way up in Oregon. Not only can I not wait to come back, I think I'm comin back in 2 days... Exceptional! We brought a friend for his birthday because he wanted a great steak. They ordered the porterhouse because it would feed the 3 steak eaters and had the cuts they wanted. Unfortunately, despite the med rare order, the filet was well. The other side was med rare and tough, but for $90, you kind of expect perfection. What was perfect? Brioche popups, radicchio salad (I could eat this daily for the rest of my life), salmon (mouth is watering thinking about it), corn ribs (pretty good but I won't get them again). We shared the lava cake--perfection--and the butterscotch pudding cake. Cocktails and wine were sublime. I hate to withdraw a star, but a $90 steak should be perfection. We'll be back for sure! We love RBC!

I have reviewed in the past but now upgrading my review to reflect this fresh direction, well my opinion, and no Brushwood Country Club vibes here. Seems professionally casual in a Bend kind of way, after ski, after golf, fun place but not crazy loud. Location: Perfect on the boarder of the Deschutes National Forest with GC and mountain vistas that are stunning all the time but especially as the sun goes down. Great parking, Build Out: Very nice, professional looking, and quiet enough for a romantic evening. Seating is well spaced. For the Sports Bar kind of thing, next door The Row is fun. Menu: Excellent Farm to Fork options with staff that knows what they are serving, menu attached. Food Prep: Well done, everything seemed perfect in its place on purpose. Food/Cook Quality: Enjoyed a 8oz filet which was truly cooked as good as it gets MR with a great sear. Some beefy competition in town but here great options but not overwhelming options. We also enjoyed the Pork Chop which was excellent. Portions: There was a lot of food, too much for us as we indulged in two appetizers, mushroom toast and Ahi Tartare, two mains, and to sides each, yea my bad. Ahi is a must. Waitstaff: From Sam the at the door greeting and seating us to our waiter, everyone was positive and well informed on the menu items and gave great recommendations. Libations: We enjoyed a cocktail then a bottle of wine with our dinner and martini was well done and wine was reasonable in price. Better than most in Bend. Overall Value: On par with Bend's best but better location and history connected to this property. It is not inexpensive but it is not overpriced, we will continue to support and enjoy.

At least that's what they imply with all this larger than life architecture. I had a few drinks at the bar, testing various cocktails while we waited for a seat. Then my family and I were seated by a 16 year old somewhere dark and moody with riverside views. Kinda romantic if you were on a date. The Gen Alpha waiter didn't understand humor unfortunately and probably thought we were all unc. For some reason the menu seemed to lack variety and I felt forced to pick finger food instead of gluten and or giant meaty dishes that cost 50+ ...I can't ever finish those anyways. The Hawaiian nachos were not nachos, but some poke on little tostada things with some crema on top. Kinda underwhelming for 15 dollars. They were nice but more of a sharing dish, too much fishy flavor and lack of variety for one. I wonder why the menu is so boxed in and uninspired, like can we get a bit of creativity outside of appetizers? For a place with such a powerful presence, I expected more.

My family loves to come to Anthonys for special occasions and we've always had top notch experiences until this visit. My family came here recently for my elderly father's special birthday. Our group got seated on time, but that's where the promptness ended. It took a very long time for someone to check in with us and take our drink order, no biggie as we all like each other and don't mind spending the time. Drinks came, except for my sisters wine, that came 25 minutes later. It took another very long time to get our order taken. And you guessed it, a very long time to get the food. I will add that the resto was only about 1/3 full on this particular evening, so not busy at all (this was not a Friday or Saturday night). So something was amiss for sure. 2/3 of our group ordered salads to enjoy before the main course. Only they didn't come out first. After much time, all the food came out at once (2 hours after getting seated at our reservation time). What's the point of an appetizer when it comes out with the dinner? We all had our food, except for the birthday boy. By the time dad's food came out (at least 15 minutes later), everyone else's food was cold. Errrrr. When questioning what was happening everyone was again very nice, but the answers were pretty corporate (I can sniff this stuff out pretty well). The Anthony's staff is SO nice, but there's definitely an execution/timing problem at this restaurant, at least lately. I understand that a 6 top isn't going to be a speedy execution, but this was different and we definitely weren't anticipating a 3 hour dinner - no exaggeration. They comped us desserts and 1 entree which was very kind, but I really hope Anthony's gets the service together so that we can feel good about coming back here again.

Sometimes it is best to let owners describe their business, as West Coast Provision owners do,…read morebecause as a customer who has been in their doors dozens of times in the last seven years, I couldn't do it better myself: "Located in Bend's Northwest Crossing neighborhood, West Coast Provisions offers a curated selection of groceries, wine, beer, prepared foods, and unique home goods and gifts, with particular focus on products from Oregon and surrounding states." CONNECTION: My husband and I lived it Bend for almost 20 years but moved away a couple of years before this delightful little store, near our Bend neighborhood, opened in roughly the latter part of 2018. But we were still in Bend multiple times a year to see my parents who lived nearby and visited regularly up through the passing of the last of them in 2024 and even through this year to take care of things at their home. We will soon make our last ever trip to Bend, our first was in 1982 so we are grieving the end of things, and one of the things we will miss is stopping in at West Coast Provisions for purchases for my mom's kitchen or for our own, or treats to share or gifts or gift cards for friends and family. Every time we were in we found something to purchase. SERVICE: People working here were always congenial, if not warm, and questions were always answered. And except for right after the local high school let out for the day, it was never very crowded. Maybe that was also because we chose the timing to avoid crowds because having lived in and visited Bend for so many years, we knew when those crowded times were more likely to be. $: Prices are premium here and so know that going in. You are paying for convenience and uniqueness. Newport Avenue Market, the independent and employee owned full service grocer just a few blocks from this one is our favorite of all grocery markets of anyplace we've lived and West Coast Provisions doesn't compete with that. But it is lovely little shop for what it is. TIP - SATURDAY FARMER'S MARKET: The NW Crossing Farmer's Market (a good one) is on Saturday mornings in Market Season and on this same street. PARKING: On street parallel parking and street parking can be hard to come by with Sparrow Bakery directly across the street and a popular burger joint next door. There is also a small lot behind the building. ACCESSIBILTY: Level in from sidewalk, all on one floor, ample clear floor space in aisles and at register. ADA marked parking behind the building, I think. COFFEE AND GOODIES: If you're hankering for a Sparrow ocean roll and the line is too long, this market sometimes has ocean rolls in the store along with goodies from other local bakeries. And the sell good coffee by the cup. WINE TASTING: For such a small store there is an impressive array of wines and they host a curated tasted once a month (I think). Check with them to learn more.

There was only one employee working and I didn't really interact with him until we were checking out. This shop is fun to peruse if you want to grab something to take home like food or trinkets.
