Chocolate lava cake with vanilla bean ice cream.

We were here for a Lions annual Christmas dinner meeting so we had preselected what we wanted to eat. I had the strip steak and my husband a chicken breast covered with cheese and mushrooms. We were served a delicious mudslide cake and ice cream. Staff were fantastic getting us served. Our food was great and my husband the coffee snob said their coffee was really good. He complimented the waitress. We are new to the area and our first time in Boulder Junction. We would like to come back and try more food. We did get lemonade to drink but it was a carbonated lemonade which I don't care for but I drank it. Next time I'll not ask for it if it is carbonated. Not sure if there was a choice.

Make a point to get yourself over to the guides inn! We made reservations and it is on the snowmobile trail a perfect ride for Friday night to kick off the long weekend! Party of 6 started at the bar for a drink then over to the dining area for dinner we ended up all ordering the same special - which was steak and it was delicious! Wait staff is professional and friendly will be back again! Btw as a non drinker they do have NA beer this was the Stella brand and it was great!

Food was great, but bartender didn't even acknowledge us as we were trying to buy a $200 gift card.

This is absolutely the best perch fish fry I have ever had! Lightly breaded nice sized filets are fantastic, not inexpensive but worth it.

Landmark Restaurant at Old Rittenhouse Inn - A proper crème brûlée

This restaurant felt like a traditional Midwestern restaurant and bar, but the menu has many more…read morecontemporary items. I had a spinach and chicken quesadilla. The filling was delicious, but it was very greasy. I used a napkin to soak up some grease. The roasted vegetables were very overcooked, salty and I did not expect Lima beans in the medley. Service was cheerful and prompt.

Foods are excellent We had 5 course tasting menu that way we can taste most of the foods. Fortunately This is a very fine dining with moderate portion not giant. The highlights are definitely: Caesar salad - made old fashioned way you can taste the anchovy Mushroom soup - almost like French onion soup but mushroom and without overwhelming cheese on top. It's so nice and light. Perfect start to a meal seafood ravioli served with salmon - ravioli is definitely the star . The salmon is just some back up dancer. That Ravioli is magic. Umami bomb definitely taste the ocean (in a good way) and the butter and all the good things in life. For desert - the berry cobbler is special of the day and it is just phenomenal. All great texture are there. Chewy crust. Explosive berry flavors à la mode. After dinner. You can hang out at the porch there's swing. Nice chairs overlook the lake. Next time we should probl stay here

Went here on a Sunday night, and I'm very happy to say it concluded a great vacation to Bayfield (I…read moreknow this isn't in Bayfield). Definitely lived up to the expectations! We made reservations in advance, but I feel like on a Sunday night, it's a little easier to get in than the other days. We had a group of 8ish (2 very little and not eating), and they were happy to seat us outside so the little ones could move around and play. Staff was super friendly and happy to explain the menu with best practices of ordering multiple plates for the table to share. Needless to say, we tried a lot of the menu. Many started out with their seasonal iced tea with chamomile and cedar. People seemed to like it enough. Then came the food, which comes to the table as it's finished in the kitchen. We started with the beets and berries. I have to say, as a person who generally hates beets, this was actually pretty good. I even went back for a second beet piece. We also got the mushrooms Miijim, which was a table favorite. We were saying how they could pretty much be eaten breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The maple was a great addition to a mushroom dish. The stuffed squash was probably the least successful for me, mainly because there was some spice that didn't fully agree with me, but others really enjoyed it. The crisp on the outside of the skin worked well, and it was well balanced. The charcoal pheasant was definitely a dish that could feed a couple of people, as it's half a pheasant. It was very enjoyable with a nice tomato base. We cleaned the bones entirely! The moulard duck breast was by far my favorite dish. It was perfectly tender and almost steak like. I've never had duck prepared this way, and I wish more places would. The sweetness from the berries and squash also played nice with the saltiness of the duck. Finally, we ordered the dessert, which was squash cake with berries. The highlight was finding some grapes in the berry sauce. I'm not talking grocery store grapes, but more wild, off the vine ones that have a distinct more wine like flavor. It was pretty tasty. This is definitely worth a visit for some fine dining if you're in the area. The only thing that I would note is if you have a lot of allergies to pollens you may have some challenges with the menu. Or just take an allergy pill.

This may easily be one of the very best restaurants in WI if not even the #1. Food is incredibly…read morefresh, well thought out and prepared of the highest quality. Clean, unique and most importantly - absolutely delicious. Wholesome ingredients and many elements of what you would think could be overly gamey or wild tasting food - but is instead better than any farm raised high-end beef steak you could find at a different fancy restaurant. Try the entire menu, you won't be disappointed by a single dish!
