Welcome to the neighborhood. The Gyro project is a Mediterranean restaurant. This one is placed right by bus lines and subway lines. Great place to pick up dinner on your way home from work or school. They also have yummy greek frozen yoghurt and soft serve. I got the TGP Classic OG Greek yogurt served with Fancy Peasant EVOO & sea salt. Very refreshing on a humid day. I have had bowls from other locations of this restaurant. But, tonight i just wanted fro yo. This location has nice staff and I am not sure if he is a manager or what but he was super nice and answered some questions I had. The space here is welcoming, bright, spacious and there is a back area to enjoy your meals at. And they also have high chairs I saw which I know some places do not have them. I will be back if not for more frozen yogurt I will get a bowl.

We just returned from a trip and just so happened to find ourselves nearby--and we found our choice was rewarded well. Specifically, I got the "I'll Have The Salmon," which I've previously been meaning to try out, alongside one of their teas. It did not disappoint--the levity and freshness of the Mediterranean salad, complements the more relatively dense lemon potatoes and gigante beans in the dish. The salmon itself was also well cooked, though the skin was a bit soggy; considering the components of the dish though, this wasn't much of a problem overall. On the side, I got some additional baba ganoush, which also complemented the flavors well; my server, Nate, really hooked us up with a good amount of the stuff that it was able to last me two servings. This is definitely a good place to stop by for a nice bite, particularly if Mediterranean is your style--thanks to him, Trevon, Kayla and Jiji for the good eats!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, there is another fast casual Greek/Mediterranean restaurant on the upper East Side. It's a Greek spin on the Chipotle model. You get on line, order and work your way through. There are also two ordering kiosks. The music is loud and the space is echoic. The staff are very nice and aim to please. The ducks aren't quite in a row yet. My wife loves the food here. She has gotten a bowl with chicken kebabs both times. I ordered a Greek Caesar salad with chicken gyro. It was pretty good, but heavily salted. We ate in. The space is charmless. It's better than Chopt. I prefer Yia-Yia's and Soom-Soom. This restaurant is my wife's favorite of the four. 3.5 stars. You're better off doing takeout.

This location just opened up as I usually go to the midtown location. The quality and taste of gyro project is excellent and the staff is always helpful. I ordered the beef and lamb gyro bowl with rice. You get a lot of food in your order so you always leave feeling full. The bowl normally comes with lettuce but this location didn't offer me lettuce which was disappointing but maybe the employee didn't know as this spot just opened up. Overall I would return for another bowl.

Place looks nice, service was good but unfortunately, food was fair. Started with the burrata…read more Visually appealing and looked like a large portion with all of the accoutrements. Unfortunately, it was totally bland and not large at all. The side sauce added nothing and over 30$ with tax/tip. For entrees, we shared the lobster pasta and the guazzetto di Pesci. The pasta was good. Reasonable amount of pasta but we would have liked some more chunks of lobster for the price. I thought the sauce was only ok but my girlfriend liked it. The guazzetto di Pesci was only fair. The sauce was lacking flavor. Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though. It came with a hard outer candy shell and a very small cookie center that was sweet and delicious. Overall, an average meal at best that we both felt was lacking in taste and size. Won't return.
