This review is solely based off the ripple fries only. Like anyone else in this city, I've heard the hype surrounding the sweet green ripple fries. It is advertised as being a healthier version of the classic French fries without compromising the taste. I thought that the fries were just okay. It lacks crunch, possibly due to it being air fried instead. The redeeming factor is the sauces. It doesn't do much to change the fries' texture but does improve the taste. I chose both the pickle ketchup and the garlic aioli, with my favorite being the garlic aioli. As for service, I had ordered for pickup through the app and the order was ready almost right away. Stingiest portions I've ever seen from a Sweetgreen. I used to go to the Bryant Park Sweetgreen for lunch pre-pandemic, so I know what an appropriate portion should look and feel like. The salad bowls at LIC sweetgreen remind me of the bags of Lays chips where more than half the bag is filled with air. They're big and the packaging looks nice, but you're sorely disappointed when you pick it up and notice just how light it is, and how much space there is inside for everything to move around. I showed my friends just how tiny the portions were, and they laughed and responded with a photo of the huge portions that they get at their local sweetgreen in Brooklyn. After a heart health scare yesterday, about an hour after clocking out from work, I've decided that my body needs a reset. Today is day 1 of 90 of my meatless journey toward better days. Yep-no meat in my mouth! So grateful for sweetgreen. I had no idea what my last meal of day 1 would be and at 940PM tonight, they were still open. I ordered via doordash, we got the caesar kale salad and fish taco salad. The food arrived on time and packaged well. The caesar kale salad came with a caesar dressing on the side; the flavor was not as flavorful as a regular caesar dressing but I think it is because it is on the healthier side. The fish taco salad was really healthy as well. At first the salads did not look like it would filling but it was. I think there was more salad than other ingredients though (i.e. there wasn't that much chicken, cheese, etc.) Overall the salads were pretty healthy but just lacking flavor. Salads are about 15-20 bucks which is similar to chopt and just salad. I think the flavor could be better in the dressing though. read more

I've been to several Sweetgreen locations (in NYC and DC) so I'm familiar with the setup. I just started working in the area and was pleased to see one close by. I'm a creature of habit and typically order the Kale Caesar salad with blackened chicken and black pepper. I also ordered a custom salad via their app. I got my salad the way I ordered it and it was good. The service was good as well. Today I became a shareholder of Sweetgreen. The stock dipped below $5 today, BUT that's besides the point. I have been pretty critical of Sweetgreen over the last couple years. The best of times for Sweetgreen was around 2019-2021 time frame for me. I got the Kale Caesar today and I have to say....A little more greens would have been nice. The photos on the website look like the bowl is PACKED and then you go in person and the sides of the bowls look like they could be filled a little more. The green goddess sauce is delicious. I love the dressing. THEY should bottle this dressing up and sell it to consumers, I would buy it. I think most importantly are the prices and they are to the high side. My $13.95 kale caesar with tax was $15.19. If they can walk back their menu prices by $1.25-$2.00, I think that would get the attention of customers. I can go down the street to Chipotle and get a bowl for $12.68 (without guac). The Sweetgreen store in itself was empty. I remember there were lines you had to wait for and now it's empty. If you can't aggressively bring down the prices then offer a salad on the menu for $10.25 + tax. The salad tasted pretty good. I asked for ample green goddess sauce and it was tasty. I would come here 3 or 4 times a month if I can get a Kale Caesar for $12 and change. (tax included) This is the first time I been here since Fall 2024. read more

Sweetgreen is a welcome addition to the downtown LIC area in Court Square. There aren't a lot of options for healthy eating options around so this is a nice option to have. There's outdoor and indoor seating available and there are pre-order pickup and delivery options as well. I got the seasonal Chicken Chimichurri for $15 + tax. It was pretty good and the size was decent portion with the included slice of sourdough bread. I'll definitely be coming back here when I'm looking for a healthy meal option. read more

Horribly managed. Tons of people just standing around for their online order or delivery order to be passed out while literally none of the employees staffed the pickup counter so you just had to wait confusedly while staring at your salad on the counter in the back. Placed an online order and showed up when it was "completed" according to the app, but still had to wait ~50 minutes to just have them hand it to me. To top it off, the guy insulted me (slightly racist microagression tbh) when he handed me the order because earlier, half an hour into my wait, I had given him an exasperated face while he was scrolling TikTok instead of helping all the people waiting in the store. I'm not much a complainer, I've worked many food jobs in the past myself, but damn this was such a horrible experience. I used to work near a SG in Manhattan that I would eat at frequently and never had any issues, but because of this experience, I cancelled my Sweetpass membership and am definitely never coming to this location ever again. This location is so hit or miss. Staff is super friendly, but sometimes there is an idiotic system where they pass salads down the line so multiple employees make your salad. This leads to SO much confusion and error, not to mention a much slower process. I gave up on ordering SG delivery because it 7 out of 10 times the salad would take 2 hours to arrive.
