If you want to see and learn about Harvard, this is a must-do in Boston. Our tour guide Cheyenne - a fellow Long Islander and Harvard student - was incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, and accommodating. Lots of history and factoids about notable Harvardians and a beautiful tour of the campus. Great time!

Such a beautiful campus and great tour! So cool to get the back story of the oldest university in the country. My tour guide Lillie was awesome and gave an amazing overview on the history of Harvard and the school itself! She even taught us the Harvard leg sweep J/K, it doesn't exist but if it did, I'm sure she'd teach it to us. Definitely worth checking out!

There are currently no official Harvard tours, due to COVID, so this was the next best thing. It's an interesting walk around Harvard Square, the Cambridge Commons, and Cambridge, generally 60-90 minutes. Ours was 60 minutes, which was plenty, especially since it was a pretty hot and muggy day. Thanks Typically, the tours are led by a Harvard student, but since only about 25% of the students are back on campus right now, our tour was led by Nathanial, who said he was one of the founders. He was entertaining and told us some interesting stories and history about the sites and buildings along the way, and people associated with them. I'm pretty sure at least some of the facts and anecdotes weren't entirely accurate, but why let the truth get in the way of a good story (or photo opportunity). This tour has adjusted to COVID by offering in-person tours of 10 people or fewer, with individual listening devices, and you can bring your own headphones, or buy some from them for .99. This allows people to spread out a bit. Unfortunately, no tours are allowed to go on inside Harvard yard, but we walked around the outside during the tour, and of course, as members of the public, you can go in on your own afterward. Overall, we really enjoyed it, and would definitely recommend it.

Save you money unless you want to hear weird stories and some questionable history about Harvard. The tour only goes around the outside of campus and you can only go in on your own, after the tour and without your guide. Our guide had a lot of energy, not a student or alumnus and that's about the only positive thing I can say.

Great tour! Very informative with lots of cool stops for photos. Our tour guide was Kasha...she was terrific!

We didn't go to Harvard. We know nothing about Harvard except that's an Ivy League school and super hard to get into. And yet, I think it's a must see if you're visiting Boston. The campus is absolutely gorgeous. You can walk onto campus without being a part of the tour, but I highly recommend taking the Hahvahd tour we did. It was inexpensive and an actual Harvard student led the tour. He talked about the history of the buildings, the faculty, the stories of how certain traditions came to be, and even a few tall tales. It was great!

This tour was great! Our tour guide was John and he did an amazing job informing us about Harvard. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He also answered all of our questions, would definitely recommend.

When I took my kids on the tour in 2019, I was so impressed with the professionalism of the attendants who help out beforehand. They were all wearing khakis, had their shirts tucked in, and there were no phones in sight. I remember one lovely young man who was wearing a Vineyard Vines belt and my son was obsessed with it, and he graciously told me what the print was called and I was able to purchase it for him for Christmas that year. This time around, it was shocking to me how opposite our experience was pre-tour. I recall in 2019 receiving a warm welcome walking up to the boarding location, but not this time. They were all huddled in a pile by the umbrella, and no one greeted us. I approached an employee who identified himself as a driver and instead pointed me to an attendant who could "better assist". When I asked which boat to board, we were rudely told to "Just wait here until we announce it", which felt like a big departure from the friendliness of a few years ago. The attendants themselves just looked messy, and it seems the standards went down significantly. We had so much fun on the tour itself, but the end to end of an experience is really what makes or breaks it, and the bad customer service before boarding left a sour taste in our mouths.

Tom's knowledge for this thoroughly interesting topic is unmatched. His serious knowledge of the history of other significant historical places and events speckled with his dry "Bastan" humor. Made this trip extremely worthwhile. The duration was four hours long which also included a Lobster dinner at a local eatery on the south Boston harbor. I haven't laughed this hard in a long while. If you are in beantown for a spell. I highly recommend you and you motley crew join Tom for an interesting alcohol added trip back in time. I am positive your jaws and cheeks will be sore from laughing so hard. Be aware this is an "R" rated trip! But very worth it. Thanks Tom for making this a great memorable evening.

The views were nice, but the experience turned sour quickly due to a lack of passenger care and extremely poor customer service. Halfway through the ride, we were filming the scenery at the front of the boat when, without warning, the captain blasted an incredibly loud horn as a "greeting" to another boat far in the distance. It was completely unnecessary, and the sudden, deafening sound startled everyone around us. I almost dropped my phone into the water. We went inside for the rest of the trip because we no longer felt safe or relaxed. Later that day, we emailed the company with our concerns and offered to send them the video showing exactly what happened. They didn't care. Instead, the Director of Operations, Gibson Cushman, dismissed our complaint, quoted Coast Guard rules (irrelevant in this case), and refused a refund. He offered a credit for another cruise, which felt like a cop-out since we're not local. His response made everything worse--tone-deaf, defensive, and full of excuses. He even tried to blame us, saying passengers should expect loud horns at any time. I had ringing in my ear for 48 hours--if we'd known something like this might happen, we could've worn ear protection. Overall, it was a stressful and disappointing experience. Their focus clearly isn't on guest satisfaction or safety--only on covering themselves. We won't be returning and wouldn't recommend them to others.

To enter the tea room, you have to go through the gift shop and exit the door on the left to walk down the ramp to Abigail's Tea room. Once you arrive you can go to the counter to order a meal (salads, sandwiches), or snacks like cookies, brownies or scones. There is an option to taste 5 different types of teas that were aboard the ships (and were eventually dumped into the water). You can opt for a cup ($5), Souvenir mug for $10.95, or a tea platter ($20) which includes a pot of tea and two scones and it says it serves up to 4 people. I opted for the $5 cup since it's unlimited refills. The tea shop has a big dining area with a view of the ships and the wharf. The 5 tea offerings included: *Young Hyson - "Early spring green tea typically picked before the end of April" *Singlo - " Chinese green tea varieties picked later in the season than early spring Hyson" *Bohea - "Black tea from one of the oldest and most famous tea growing areas of china, the Wuyi Mountains." *Congou - "a black tea, refers to a tea made with the highest mastery or artful skill to produce thin, light strips without breaking the leaves" *Souchong - "a classic black tea from the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian province in China with a very distinctive smoky aroma" I thought most of the teas were good, my favorite being the Congou, but the Souchong was not my favorite due to the smoky flavor. The gift shop was fun and full of neat souvenirs like teas, teapots, general Boston kitschy items, and things for the 250th anniversary of America. Well worth the visit if you are in the area!

And there was one thing I noticed about Anthony that he doesn't advertise, and may try to track me down for saying on here.... But beneath the gruff exterior was the sweetest guy that seemed genuinely interested in sharing his culture, stories, and amazing food with everyone! We started off at a pizza joint where we got a slice of pizza and an arancini ball. I expected the pizza to be good... and it was fantastic. But I am not a huge fan of arancini and this one had peas in it... also something I am not a huge fan.... But hey, I was on a food tour so I was going to try everything! Thank goodness I did, because this arancini was the stuff of dreams. How in the world could something be THAT much better than what high end Italian restaurants advertise? The last time I had an arancini ball was at a restaurant in Hawaii that won "best Italian food in Hawaii".... And it was only so-so. This arancini ball would make me fly 5,000 just to eat it again! Next up was a deli sub, a coffee shop, ravioli, a pastry shop and lastly an affogato (or gelato if you didn't want coffee that late in the day). Based on the food I received, before factoring in all the stories that Anthony shared, I feel the tour was really underpriced. I wish I hadn't done this the tour on my last day, I would have gone back for another round of everything we tried, as well as everything that was recommended.
