Have stylists be on time for appointments and focus on the client and not their phone would be a start, this may not be true for all of the stylists, but no one there seemed to think this was unusual 2. If the stylist has requested pictures of what the client would like, make sure to look at them, don't be totally clueless when client expects you to know the type of cut wanted 3. Try to be friendly, not irritated that the client wants as close as possible to the cut in requested pictures, spending 5 minutes doing a very basic trim instead is not justified when paying for a complete service 4. Talk to your client, not just the other stylists in the salon, your client is PAYING for your time, respect that 5. I came in with a very specific inspo picture, and not only did she deliver exactly what I asked for, but she also took the time to walk me through the entire process. Chelby explained how my hair would process with the bleach based on its current condition, ensuring that we achieved the look I wanted without causing damage. I appreciated how honest and transparent she was it made me feel confident and informed every step of the way. I also have tape-in extensions, and Chelby gave me different options and recommendations on how to keep both my natural hair and extensions healthy. I hate to come on here and bear the bad news. I went to Chelby as I loved her results and her work. During our appointment she was on her phone a lot and seemed to answer any phone call that came through. maybe I'm being sensitive but it did not make me feel a welcome customer. she did not try to make any small talk and did not seem to care for a conversation. Strongly recommend staying away from Chelby, also known as Hair by Chelby!!! I went in asking for an ASH BLONDE balayage and was left with the worst unblended, streaky, and uneven brassy orange tone all over my head. She did not give me the opportunity to explain what I wanted when arriving to my appointment, she just asked to take before pictures of my hair and got right into it. As someone with virgin hair this was an absolute nightmare and exactly what I did not want to happen. She did not let my hair lift to the color I had shown in my inspo pic, she rushes her services I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO HER. Also does not know how to work on black/dark hair. Not to mention I was told she was going to cut 2-3 inches of my hair but instead cut off 5-6. I would recommend going to someone older and more experienced with better communication skills. Especially stay away if you have curly hair. read more

It's unfortunate I even feel the need to write this review but my experience with the stylist Chelby, or also know as hair by Chelby was not the best, first of all, she rescheduled out initial appointment for about a month later than we had set when I had told her initially why I needed it done by our set date, but even then I understood her situation and the need to reschedule, going further when I went in for our first appointment, which btw, day of she told me if I could come in an hour or 2 later than our set time, she did not say more than 5 sentences to me after our initial talk of what I was wanting, it was about 5 hours of awkward silence, even though the vibe bothered me a little I still decided to book another appointment with her, and once again, she rescheduled me because another apparent situation had come up, okay no problem, the issue was that she offered me a date, I told her I'd take it, I texted her 3 days later just to confirm with her that I'll be seeing her on set date and she tells me I never confirmed with her and that that date has been booked??? I literally told her I'd take the date she offered me?! And it's not like she texted me and I took hours to reply, I messaged her immediately that I'd take that date, I caution anyone booking with her who needs their hair done by a set date and I really suggest she works on her scheduling management and doesn't leave willing to pay customers like me high and dry. I also suggest she works on her customer service skills because no client should have to feel like a bother or feel uncomfortable for 4+ hours. read more

My son has complicated hair. I took him in and Susie and Cornell worked on his hair. Susie recommenced a deep conditioner, which she applied. Cornell did an amazing job of shaving the sides. Afterwards, Susie got rid of the dead ends. She recommended products that are perfect for his texture of hair. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the salon. The music was perfect. It was a little bit of everything. The salon is clean and vibrant. I watched the different stylists work on many different techniques. All of the clients appeared to be enjoying themselves. Crystal and the girls are amazing, the salon is new, clean, professional and the environment is fun and welcoming. From my observation everyone does very good work, the stylists are always busy and booked out for weeks at a time. That alone shows they are great at what they do. I highly recommend making an appointment before even walking in. All the stylists have their work on IG, its wonderful and they respect your time. Getting to the stylists though; everyone is so ready to help one another, you can see the tremendous amount of respect these women have for one another and their talents. I go to Wendy, she's everything you want in a stylist. Compassionate about how you want to look, we have the best convos (i know you're not looking for a conversation , but I promise, she's genuinely interested in you...and you feel that). I wanted to go from practically black to very blonde and she educated me on the fact that it was not going to happen in one or even two appointments time. She cared enough about me and my hair to tell me up front that I wasn't going to get what I wanted right away. Respect. Thanks to her, my hair is still healthy. I'd recommend her to others for sure, but you'd have to wait awhile for an appointment, she's booked months in advance. Maria is also amazing. You will want her to be your best friend, I swear. This is crazy to me, I call nobody picks up, I go inside nobody doesn't even say hello. I literally been trying to get my hair done and this is the third time I come here and the customer service is literally insanely bad. I'm honestly thinking this place is racist because I'm Hispanic. I'm sitting here as I type this review and nobody says nothing not even a hi. When I ask for appointments they are not even helpful because last time I was here I give a stylist my phone number and what I want done and I never heard back from nobody, so that's why I came back to check if there is any nice stylist here that's actually considerate, attentive, and have customer service. Don't waste your time and money here. I don't get it....there should be no type of assumptions made on customers sir. And how many honest mistakes does it take for me to get an appointment??? My hair is cut in a bob so it's very short and requires little trims so it's not much to even ask. So idk what you are talking about and I was not referred to any stylist the day I went and gave them my number I have not received and info back on stylist referrals.
