I will start off by saying the the stylist was really nice and sweet. However, I am really disappointed in the owner. If you want your business to thrive and progress then you should know that if you have a new client you need to be selective on who attends to their hair needs. I will say that this was a new and a last minute appointment from the night before. Unfortunately because of my experience I cannot recommend or go back. The lack of accountability and the owners response should let you know the type of place this really is... Lily has done my hair four times now, we went to a level 4 months ago and I wanted to go back to my natural which is a level 6. I wasn't expecting anything crazy but definitely didnt expect her to ruin my hair completely. Lily did Malibu CPR for 45 mins, washed out and threw bleach on it for 20/25 mins washed that out and then toned me twice. After the first toner my hair was orange and she was like "if YOU want me to tone it again I can" like girl you should know what you are doing? So we toned it again and same result. She couldn't get me to one even color and put four different colors back into my hair. Idk what kind of color correction she was trying to do but it's not one I've ever seen done. she should've known what she was and wasn't capable of doing and referred me to someone better. As she attempted to fix her first mistakes with the second sit down she melted my hair off and blamed me and said it was a normal to have melted hair and that this was to be expected since "we" did the first bleach job and my hair was fragile... she as a professional should've told me my hair wasn't capable of lightening again but instead she created more problems for me in the long run and ruined my hair. Now it's gonna take a very qualified color correction specialist to undo all she has done but until then I have to sit and heal my hair from the damage. I love the salon but don't ever go to Lily. I've never had a good experience with this place. I always try coming here first since I live close by and "walk-ins" are "welcome", but that's far from the truth. This review is long overdue. I found Leeann when I moved here in 2021. I came to her with over processed, orange hair. My hair was damaged from a previous hair stylist that put bleach on my virgin hair for over 7 hours. She recommended a good cut to let everything that was bad to grow out and just to nurture my hair. I was a client of Jamie's for ~4 years. I recently had my hair done and was unhappy with the results. I sent several texts requesting a fix, and received no response to set up an appointment. In that time she posted my hair to Instagram, but did not respond. I requested a refund and for my pictures to be removed, and neither was honored. I did not feel comfortable returning after the unprofessional treatment I had received. I did not sign a release form for my pictures be used for advertising. I had my hair fixed at another salon and they needed to remove all the color, relighten all my hair to make it even, and fixed the haircut. In the end I was able to get the correct colors with no bleeding. It was a night and day experience when it comes to professionalism and quality of work. My hair always feels so healthy and soft after seeing her too. I love going to this salon. The environment here is always so fun and the stylist greets everyone who walks in. Jamie is super funny and witty. She's always making me laugh. She seems to understand when I'm in the mood to chit chat, or if I'm the mood to just chill quietly. I was in tonight and was absolutley disgusted by the owners actions. I had my hair in the shampoo bowl while my amazing stylist Gigi applied toner. Keep in mind there are sinks all around me that we're open and unoccupied. The owner Jamie, decided to walk up to the sink with my hair in it, and dump her drink with ice into it! Her drink also splashed on my face. When my stylist asked why she would do that, she laughed and said she was "closing the cuticle on my hair." NOT FUNNY. I come here often and pay good money. I love my stylist. This behavior by the owner tonight however was unacceptable. It was disgusting, disrespectful and unprofessional. Not to mention unhygienic on a good day but especially now with covid I don't appreciate her drink splashing on my face. She deserves a formal complaint to the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. Every single salon I've ever gone to just cannot seem to understand what I mean when I say I want violet hair color. Either they don't have the right formula or they struggle with color recognition. I Contacted the salon through Yelp and received a response right away from the owner. An appointment was available within a couple of days and it worked perfectly with my schedule. My daughter decided she wanted to have her hair done as well and an appointment was available the same day. The salon is clean with a great atmosphere. I had been hesitant to have someone new work on my hair, but once discussing what I wanted with Jamie she got straight to work. This was my daughter's first experience with color of any kind, as she's only done haircuts in the past, and she was extremely happy.
