The owner is super unprofessional. I had an appointment today for root touch up and I even called an hour before my time to confirm. I walk in for my appointment and he tells me he cannot take me today. I asked why and he said he has two other appointments that he has to take care of. He is of course lying because he decided to take some walk-in customers that are probably spending more money with him. Wasted my time and was not apologetic. Went here for a trim and it was okay. I got confirmed five days before coming in for an appointment, and when I showed up, the lady asked the guy cutting if he had an appointment at my time and he said no. They still trimmed my hair though but had to wait for about 35 mins. Their cut was okay for the price ($25) my hair was long and needed some layers but when the lady already took out the cloth to cover me she forgot to cut my bangs so she did it and hair got on my clothes lol. Casual, well kept hair salon. I was a walk in appointment and had to wait only about 5-10 minutes for a chair. Patrick sat me down at his station and I could tell this was not going to be an ordinary haircut. He was lively, loud, and HILARIOUS! I was cutting my long hair to donate to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths - Patrick knew exactly what to do. He sectioned my hair into smaller ponytails saying its the way to give the most length and to leave me with the most. He then trimmed the bottom of each ponytail of split ends so I would send it good quality hair then made the final cut. The rest of my haircut was pretty basic I just wanted a single length but Patrick's enthusiasm, jokes, and care made me feel pampered. This place is an EXTREMELY good value! read more

It's been two years since I came here for a hair cut. I came in to donate my hair. Patrick did everything right with the haircut but I will never come back here again. Why? Because in the midst of my hair cut, Patrick asked me which Asian ethnicity I was. "Chinese" I answered, and he proceeded to place his fingers on the sides of his eyes and pull them into slits. I looked around in shock but apparently no one noticed as they were all on their phones. That is one of the most racist actions you can do towards any Asian. I was so shocked and felt so disgusted. I needed that haircut to end as soon as possible to get the hell out of there. I still can't believe he did that. In the midst of every thing going on, I decided I should leave my review. I like their speed, their prices, their skill and their location. But what really puts them above everyone else is that they make me feel comfortable. Worst experience ever. I had to come here due to my usual stylist being booked and i will never come again. First of all i made an appointment a week before and they apparently didn't write it down so when i called to let them know i was 5 minutes late they said the appointment was never written down. Eva said next time make sure to talk to me because the guy always forgets to write it down; this should've warned me already but i came at 1pm as she suggested. When i got there at 1pm for my appointment i still had to wait 45 minutes because apparently it does not matter if you have an appointment, they take walk ins without priority to people who have an appointment anyway. My haircut is terrible, she didn't even blow dry my hair completely! Every place i've gone to uses a brush while blow drying to make my hair smooth but not here, she blow dries just as you would do at home and once it's half done that's it, no styling, no leave in conditioner, no finishing even the blow dry. How does this place have 5 stars?! I look like a 5 year old cut my hair, she didn't even ask where i part my hair so now my hair is uneven in the front. Oh and I asked if she can use my own conditioner which deposits color into my hair and she used it on just the left side of my head so I'm now walking around with the left side purple and the right side brown. Like everyone else, I found this place on Yelp. They said they opened at 10 so I arrived then because I assumed they would be busy later. They didn't actually open until about 10:25. I had nowhere to be though, so I wasn't complaining. There were a few people in front of me, but I didn't mind. Like I said, I had time lol. Just by watching Patrick cut the first couple of people in front of me, I already knew I was gonna have a good experience! Besides a few ladies in scrubs being in there that actually don't work there, but were acting as if they do, that was a little annoying. Plus there was a dog in there that barked every time someone walked by. I wasn't too bothered by it but I did think it was odd. So finally it's my turn and Patrick is a sweetheart. I told him I needed a wash, cut and I wanted to thin my hair out. My hair is extremely long and thick, but it didn't even rattle him. I've had some rude reactions from people because my hair is crazy lol. But he was so accommodating! He washed my hair, which felt so good. I'm pregnant, so to get a little pampering felt amazing! He cut about 4 inches off and brought my layers back to life! Also thinned it out perfectly. He's also very funny and we had a conversation going. The best part of this is to wash and cut my long thick hair was only $25! I think that's pretty decent considering my usual place charges me $40! Ugh, I just thought about how many times I've been ripped off lol. All in all I had a wonderful experience! This is a nice, clean place tucked away in a newly renovated stripmall across from the Cerritos Mall. Parking in the front is tight due to the close proximity of Lucille's BBQ. However. go around the back of the shops and there's plenty of parking. I walked in here looking for a nice haircut for my 7 year old daughter, who wanted a trim, and maybe some layers cut in. We signed up in the list, and she was taken in perhaps 6 minutes. The stylist listened to what I wanted for my little girl, and more importantly, asked my daughter to clarify what she liked. Wash, cut, blowdry in about 15 minutes. Which was good, because I had my 2 year old with me. Everyone was very friendly, and the shop seemed like it had some regulars who were very comfy with the place. I was charged the child's cut price of $15, even though my 7 year old was over the 1 to 6 year age limit listed on the wall. Pros: clean, well priced, friendly, nice, fast. Stylist made a point of saying that she liked little girls' cuts to keep them looking like little girls, not like mini-women, which I appreciated. Cons: Age-inappropriate video on the big screen. Patrick was super nice and helpful, and did a good job at cutting about 3-4 inches off of my hair and adding long layers for a reasonable price ($25). He also washed it! However, as a walk-in I had to wait about an hour and a half even though I came almost as soon as the salon opened because his sister was on vacation, and I also had bangs that were growing out that he didn't touch up at all although they definitely could've been cleaned up a bit. He listened to what I was looking for and he got to work. I will definitely be going back! OH and the cut was only $30!!! -I docked it 1 star, because I don't think they do appointments. I did have to wait about 40 min, until it was my turn. But he did such a wonderful job, I would wait again! Just as a suggestion, I wish they had a Facebook page that showcased their color and cut portfolios. Okay so I had to wait an hour and a half, which I didn't really mind bc I had free time. Patrick was the only one there when I arrived and so I waited. When it was finally my turn I got skipped over by two people. By then, another employee had came in. I don't remember her name but my mom and I still joke about how much she clearly hates her job. She shuffled in, looking bitter as ever, went to the back super slow, slowly walked to her chair and just stood for a few minutes. Then she went to slowly go check the mail, and then finally she called my name. So I showed her a picture of what I wanted done and she said okay. I basically got a glorified trim when I asked for a long bob. I'm only giving it three stars bc my hair still looks fine, it's not bad or anything. I'm just a little disappointed. read more

Great first experience coming here. I usually try different barber shops each time I get my haircut. Was able to describe the haircut I wanted and the barber quickly delivered. $17 for a basic men's haircut along with a shampoo. Overall very pleasant experience and I'll sure to be back, high recommend. Definitely the best spot in the area. read more
