We started with the salade verde, which was very nice and fresh, along with their asparagus dish, which had a creamy sauce and some pickled onions. A unique and tasty flavor. For main dishes we split their fig, caramelized Onion and feta pides. They call it a flat bread, but it is more stuffed. It was delicious, and the arugula on top was a nice fresh addition. We also had the mussels, which were delicious. The mergez gives it a little bit of spice, and the broth is definitely worth soaking up. We were stuffed from dinner so didn't try the desserts, but there were some yummy looking options. The service was very good. Our server was friendly and knowledgable. Would love to go back and try some more.

I loved the vibe of the place and later found out it's from the same group behind Galit. We ordered the shakshuka, yaya fries, veggie bowl, lamb burger, and pistachio rose bun. I really enjoyed the shakshuka, and the pistachio rose bun was definitely my favorite. My friend loved the lamb burger as well. The Mediterranean-inspired ambiance was beautiful and made the whole experience even better. I also ordered a coffee, which was just okay, but everything else was great. Overall, it was a wonderful brunch spot with good food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. I would definitely come back.

The wait staff were SO sweet and did warn me about the portions so I didn't fill myself up too early! I could eat that hummus by itself with a spoon and be perfectly happy. LOVE the tiny little tasty side dishes! The highlights for me were the foie gras and the lamb chops, which were a special item: they were so tasty and juicy in their sauce and absolutely perfectly cooked. There were protestors outside who screamed at people coming in and out of the restaurant, but honestly obnoxious people like that just make me want to come back and support Galit MORE, not less.

I didn't realize beforehand that the meal was only offered as a preset menu, but it happened to be a special menu that week. The food was excellent, though the sheer number of dishes became a little overwhelming. Standout items included the walleye, the hummus served with warm pita, the beef tongue shaslik, and every one of the desserts. The service was less impressive. Our waitress was fine overall, but she came across as somewhat impatient, particularly when our group needed a little extra time to understand the menu. It also would have enhanced the experience if plates were cleared between courses, as the table became quite crowded. It did not feel like the level of service I typically associate with a Michelin-starred restaurant. Overall, I'm glad I had the opportunity to try Galit. The food was memorable, even if the service and overall dining experience did not fully meet my expectations.

This restaurant is 50+ years old and has been in the same location for that long too. The inside is a bit darker and there are very few windows but they have ambient lighting and music playing that doesn't make your really realize it. There is a lot of seating for smaller and larger groups. The service is some of the best I've had. The owner, Max, personally comes to take your order depending on the rush and he is so sweet to recommend dishes. The food itself is so flavorful and all of the proteins fall right off the bone. They were also able to accommodate a big group and were so kind to play music and serve cake for my birthday! This is just a provisional review, as I've only eaten here twice. The hummus was good and the pita was delicious (unlike most American restaurants, where the pita tastes like cardboard.) The main dish, lamb shank in walnut and pomegranate sauce, was somewhat disappointing. The lamb was fairly tender (though not on par with Greek-style lamb) but I couldn't taste any walnuts or pomegranates whatsoever. It came with a big heap of flavorless rice. I'll update my review when I try some other dishes. I'm a little worried about this place. They've been around forever, but the two times I've been here, it was almost deserted.
