    Fried snapper mmmm

Love me some Le Bon Goût Chez Fa!! We always get the fried snapper and oxtail stew, too good to try other items. But this time we switched up the oxtail and had the spiced lamb, yum. They have many delicious drinks. Nice service. Can't wait to try more!

#21. Lamb okra Oxtail not on menu. #15 Cury Guinar, Chicken $16.99. #42 Chicken Chops $16.99 Jollof rice #8 Plantains $6. Comes

So good!! Comfort food from mom pop type restaurant. Found our new favorite Senegalese (West African) restaurant!! We loved all the recommendations. The owner knows how to work with allergies (dairy and peanuts). They offer vegan and vegetarian options too! The owner and her kid are both super patient and understanding of kid ADHD/neurodivergents. It will take time to wait for your meals (we shared among the table). BUT overall service is quick and just one person/the owner. Any foodie out there looking for a punch of flavors, you'll love Senegalese cuisine. It's only our 2nd restaurant eating Senegalese food. The 1st restaurant we tried was the popular Calabash. But they serve mixed cuisines (Senegalese and Gambian), and the wait over our last visits just isn't worth visiting anymore. The SO slookes Calabash (Senegalese/Gambian) flavors better. I like Le Bon Gout Chez Fa because they can address allergies/dietary needs with certainty. . Le Bon Gout Chez Fa differs in certain tastes and such. We feel it definitely is a cleaner in quality and taste and wonder if that's the halal practice of things. And we don't have to wait 20min to just get out order, wait forever 40min for the food, then wait another 20min just trying to get the check. At Le Bon Gout Chez Fa, there was a slight wait for the food. And starting to understand maybe it just takes time when we want quality fresh food. On a Saturday 1pm, we were the only party with someone doing a pick up later on. Definitely recommend lunch for full attention to food and service. What we ordered -- #21. Lamb okra Oxtail not on menu. #15 Cury Guinar, Chicken $16.99. #42 Chicken Chops $16.99 Jollof rice #8 Plantains $6. Comes with 5 pieces. We were a party of 6. She was so so sweet to make extra so each of us had enough to share!! The fufu and Jollof rice was more flavorful at Calabash. It was still good. It didn't make a difference to us since the pairing entrees were good. Also I don't know if the Gambian flavors makes the difference from Calabash. Overall, love Le Bon Gout Chez Fa. Owner was super sweet!! We'll be dining in and ordering take out all the time!

Veggie Joloff Rice and Vegetables (vegan)

Since being vegan, I've been on the hunt for authentic West African food. It's something about joloff rice that just makes you feel loved. True comfort food! The search was over when I came across this gem on Yelp! It was everything I remembered joloff to be and even tried something new. I cannot wait to go back soon. Food Veggie Mafe - 5/5 stars A peanut-based sauce, Served with white rice. Veggie Joloff Rice and Vegetables - 4/5 stars The joloff rice we know and love, with vegetables. The rice was perfection and seasoned so well! You can taste the savory flavors. I took one star away only because some of the root veggies were a little under cooked for my liking. Customer Service I ordered takeout, however, I was greeted right away and it did not take long for my food. Ambiance It is a smaller space, but not overcrowded. It feels like sense of community where you're in a comfortable place visiting family for a great meal. Love it! Overall, I cannot wait to go back and try some of the other items under their vegan menu.

Really good food and service. We liked all the dishes. The chicken was really good, the ox tail fufu and other dishes were good as well.

Food was amazing and the service was out of this world. The whole experience brought me back home. The ambiance was top notch. I will definitely visit when I am back in Las Vegas. You guys rock. I will spread the word in Hawaii. Thank you for the Tea.

My new favorite restaurant in the world! You will be treated like family here by the Amazing family that owns and operates everything here. Five million stars. Many thanks to the amazing Yelp contributors and reviews that helped me find this hidden gem. You guys are making the world a better place. In honor of black history month, the world's coolest collaborators and websites are featuring our new favorite restaurants globally. Check out Yelp's black-owned businesses features for helpful advice finding your new favorite places. This restaurant is located in an unassuming strip mall with plenty of free parking and conveniences for handicapped patrons. Order or pick up takeout, plan your catered event here, or select a table for a nice dine-in dinner with friends and family. The dining room is tastefully decorated with traditional African and Senegalese flair, the music is enchanting which helps set the stage for your dining experience. Ask for advice with the menu. Whatever you order, you will not be disappointed. Senegalese food is inspired by many cultures and traditions and it has inspired the world in return which I learned firsthand from the owner and chef here and I'll be forever grateful. I ordered the most traditional Senegalese dish as well as several traditional African specialities which are my favorites and they were all outstanding. The Fataya (fish patties) is savory and buttery crispy with delicate white fish inside. It's served with a scrumptious homemade sauce with a hint of honey. Five stars. My party was given a huge glass of tropical juice by the family members, along with everyone else in the restaurant. Complimentary! Delighted Uber and door dash drivers gathering takeout orders, fellow patrons and my party clinked glasses while we exchanged compliments about this delicious beverage. Five stars. I love the Tchep with fish here. It is a Traditional and popular dish of rice, fish and vegetables. This dish started with a small mountain of joloff rice, and delicious well-seasoned stewed veggies and a large portion of fresh fish. This dish has the perfect amount of umami flavor and it's rustic, healthy and a very good bargain. Five stars. We also ordered peanut butter stew with chicken with fufu. (Pounded yam) This dish is decadent, rich and a little sweet. One of my favorites, a lot of work goes into making this recipe and it is amazing here. Five stars. I admired the beautiful music playing, the artwork and the generous kindness from the family to everyone who entered during my dinner which sweetened the taste of my meal. My fellow travelers to Las Vegas were given huge complimentary bags of African steamed peanuts for our plane rides and journeys home. Everyone out there with an amazing mother can relate to this gesture and act of kindness. The peanuts are amazing here. Five stars. This restaurant opened the summer before my first meal here. It's the dream of the family who owns it to bring African food and traditions to the community here. Las Vegas is lucky to have them as you are for following in the lucky footsteps who find their way here. I learned to say "Cheers" in Senegalese (Asante!) while drinking Ataya, Senegalese Tea Culture here. Traditional Senegalese Tea is green tea with fresh mint and sugar which creates a foam when poured. It turns from bitter to sweet while drinking it. This is an ancient tradition admired by many cultures to help remind others about where they've been and the hopes ahead which sweeten the ending. I hope you end up here, fellow travelers. I know you will love it here. Best wishes and blessings to this family and their amazing family restaurant for everything they do for their community. And the world.

Always wanted to try new cuisine and this Senegalese restaurant does not disappoint. Tried the oxtail stew (which is not in the menu) with the cassava fufu & they were so delicious and so filling. Also tried the national dish of Senegal Thiebou jeun/ Thieboudienne, with fish, veggies and the jollop rice. I don't know the spices that they put in the jollop rice but it was so flavorful. The fish was a bit dry but turned out okay when paired with the complimentary house made super spicy sauce. Use a very small amount as I'm not kidding when I said super duper spicy -- and we love spicy food! We tried the fried sweet banana to balance this savory dish. Price is reasonable, place is clean and we really appreciate the attentive service. We'll be back most definitely.

#41 Grilled Fish the oxtail was good we didn't have time to take a photo as we started eating.

The food was AMAZING! Our first time here and it was very fresh and flavorful. We have tried fufu other places. The fufu here was like no other very fresh. The employees were very friendly and the food spoke for itself. The oxtail and the grilled tilapia were great dishes. The salad and fries were so good with the dressing and dips. We will be back again! The ambiance was good and very welcoming. The owner was grateful and very welcoming. Thank you!!

It was our first time trying African food, and it definitely won't be our last! The service was excellent. The oxtail soup was hands down the best--my partner, who's a bit picky with food, absolutely loved it! He finished it off with foufou. The grilled lamb chops were another favorite; they were super tender, and the onion sauce added the perfect touch. We also tried the dibbi Senegal, which was flavorful, but some of the meat was a bit tough to chew. We also had the plantains, which were perfectly sweet , and the tropical juice was super refreshing. The ditakh was a nice finish to the meal--so refreshing! Overall, a great experience, and we can't wait to come back!

    Felicia K.

The plantains were sweet and cooked to perfection. The red snapper was so tasty and delicious. It was a long wait but certainly worth the wait. I love how the chef/owner Fa comes out of the kitchen and talks to the customers. Very personable and friendly. She is very inviting and makes you feel like you're family. I would highly recommend visiting if you want delectable authentic African food.

Food was excellent and staff there were great. Very friendly service. This was Sunday and they weren't busy at all. Sleeper place I'm telling you. Food is fire

    fufu and lamb+okra sooooooodelicious!

Friendly hostess, delicious food, reasonable prices. what's not to like. i am coming back here. all the meats are halal according to the hostess and there a big halal sign posted on the door. oh, also +1 star for having a sink to wash hands in if you want to eat your food with your right hand.

I ordered a half-pound of brisket, and they gave me a very generous portion with plenty of beautifully sliced, smoky meat accompanied by pickles. The brisket was tender, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. My wife wanted the burnt ends, but unfortunately they were out, so she went with the shredded brisket slider instead. It turned out to be absolutely delicious, especially paired with their homemade potato salad. This is just a great casual spot to grab an ice-cold beer, relax, and enjoy your favorite smoked meats without all the unnecessary fuss. If you're craving barbecue while you're in downtown Las Vegas, I would definitely recommend giving them a try. And, of course, you have the famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop right next door, associated with Rick Harrison and Pawn Stars, which makes the area even more fun to visit. Thank you to Rick and the entire team. Great barbecue, cold beer, generous portions, and a fun Las Vegas atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
